The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.

d the rozarem along with the lunesta (this was my sub doctor - said it was perfectly safe and I had no bad effects from it). I actually liked the rozarem. I dont know if youve ever seen the "It brings your dreams back" commercials, but it REALLY DID bring my dreams back. I got such a kick out of that. I dreampt every night. (I no longer ever dream). I stopped getting it though as it was not covered under my insurance and couldnt afford it.

It's safe. If it wasn't they wouldn't give it to you. And chances are they consulted with your Dr before giving it to you. They've given it to me before with a previous pregnancy and my kid is alive and healthy!!!

I took Lunesta 3mg, or whatever highest dose is, for a month. I never got over the metallic taste either so I stopped. I didn't have any issues stopping, but it didn't work well for me with sleep anyway. I would try only when needed.

I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. My RE gave me an Rx for the highest dosage of Femara in preperation for an IUI. We can no longer afford the IUI, but I would still like to take the Femara and try the "old fashinioned" way. I'm just wondering what to expect? I have done several rounds of Clomid and two rounds of 5mg of Femara (with one cycle ending in cysts). I had little to no side effects. Is it safe to take this highest dosage without going in for the pre-O u/s to check the follies?

Did you talk with your doctor about taking the two together, like a half hour before bed? I used to take my kpin before bed with some medication that makes you tired together. How does the lunesta work btw?

I was wondering how doctors could miss my symptoms as they were, Fatigued, swollen calves and fingers and face, mood swings, extreme dry skin on legs and middle of back and other areas, major brain fog and insomnia so bad that for three days and nights could not sleep at all and lunesta and ambien done zip 30 mg of lunesta and not even a nod off. I've been suffering from insomnia for a few years now. Been prescribed almost every sleep aid available; the OTC's are of no benefit, and the sleep aids I have been prescribed have not been beneficial either because my tolerance to controlled substances is so high due to medicinal treatment for other chronic illnesses. Can anyone suggestion a sleep aid that has helped them achieve more than 1-1/2-2 hours of continuous sleep?

Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.

My doctor gave me Lunesta to sleep. I also tried Rozerem. Lunesta worked GREAT!!!!! The only side effect I had was strange taste in my mouth when it started to kick in. But I would fall asleep and STAY asleep for 7 to 8 hours. When I wake up, Im wide awke and feel rested. If not, after the first 3 nights of not sleeping I would have been in the hospital because I felt like I was going crazy. Rozerem did not work as fast at nite and I did wake up and was sleepy in the morning.

My psychologist told me to ask my GP about Lunesta, and a family friend said to ask about Secobarbital. But if I am not mistaken, barbiturates aren't used anymore and Lunesta is in the same class as ambien so wouldn't lunesta cause me to do crazy things I don't remember? I want to taper off xanax. Would it be safe to take half a 1 mg. xanax with 2 mg Lunesta or would I then become dependent on the Lunesta also?

After about 4 weeks on this new dosage I began to feel better. But the last few days I am now having Hypo symptoms again. I would not be surprised if I need to increase my T4 medication. Which would then be 137mcg of T4 plus (per pending on labs) a T3 dose. How high of T4 medication dosage can a person go?? I do think I saw someone on 150 mcgs.....is that high?

Can you sleep? I used to sleep like a log, and now I move so much it's getting scary. (the past 3/4 year) Last night I hit my head on the windowsill beside my bed while i was sleeping, which promptly woke me up.... i hit it very hard. :) I have a bump, and a one-sided horrid head-ached with pain from that area (bump) above my left temple that radiates into my left eye and nausea and well, just am not happy.

I already have stomach problems and am trying to minimize potential side effects with highest drug efficacy. Seems logical to take 2 pills at 500mg/pill instead. Would this reduce stomach upset and/or improve absorption of drug? Thx in advance.
