Avatar f tn My doc said he had no time to deal with insurance companies and he said that if he did it for me I could only be allowed a 10 days supply and not a month due to use for short term use only. So was given ALPRAZOLAM XANAX for my sleep and insomnia. Was told that in one week if it does not work I will get something different.

Avatar f tn An article published in 2006 stated that “The two newest sedative hypnotic medications, eszopiclone and ramelteon do not appear to offer additional benefit and are high cost alternatives to the older agents. Further studies with active comparators are necessary prior to identifying their ideal place in therapy”. (http://pharmacy.oregonstate.edu/drug_policy/pages/dur_board/newsletter/articles/volume8/DURV8I1.html). You might want to refer to an article on ramelteon in chronic insomnia.
Avatar f tn s extremely well researched, and no amount has been found that can kill a rat. 1mg would be a good dose to start with, even .5mg. Cost you about six bucks to see if your body clock is to blame. My guess is it might be the Lexapro -- antidepressants can be stimulating or sedating, depending on the person, and medication often interrupts normal sleep patterns.
Avatar f tn d the rozarem along with the lunesta (this was my sub doctor - said it was perfectly safe and I had no bad effects from it). I actually liked the rozarem. I dont know if youve ever seen the "It brings your dreams back" commercials, but it REALLY DID bring my dreams back. I got such a kick out of that. I dreampt every night. (I no longer ever dream). I stopped getting it though as it was not covered under my insurance and couldnt afford it.
572651 tn?1530999357 The mfg of Lunesta will send you a discount card that will pay your copay on insurance, up to $50 per month ($600 per year) if you use their sleep medicine. I figure this is information worth sharing with you ..... http://www.lunesta.com/dreamkit/lunesta-savings.html?
1615215 tn?1298648648 Last year I got diagnosed with MS in the states , now I was supposed to get my treatment back home , however im having problems with my insurance here.. When I was there I heard that if I did some kind of couse in the country for at least 6 months I could get the treatment. I ll apreciate if anyone knows anything about this subject in Maryland or DC ..
Avatar n tn The difference between the full cost of a treatment (which the uninsured often are charged), and the amount the insurance company tells them they will pay is often quite a bit. If you have cash and offer to pay up front (for a discount) you may get charged less than what they can get out of the insurance company, because it's less hassle and instant money for them. Just a thought, even if you had to borrow the money. Will your Endo accept results from another facility?
Avatar f tn Below is some info I have posted on here in the past about how to manage without insurance (free strips and free insulin). I'm a Type 1 without insurance too. Since diabetes is a pre-existing condition, insurance is very expensive. If anyone on here knows of any good prices on insurance for diabetics, please share--it would be greatly appreciated! Some great resources for locating free and low cost clinics are the two links I have listed below.
Avatar f tn In what country are you? In the USA, it is anywhere from $18,000 to $30,000.
Avatar n tn The nausea may just be a side affect of ambien. I love lunesta but do to the cost, I usually end up with generic ambien. Lunesta's patent has not expired yet.
266660 tn?1189755834 Did you talk with your doctor about taking the two together, like a half hour before bed? I used to take my kpin before bed with some medication that makes you tired together. How does the lunesta work btw?
Avatar f tn this should be the last month I have that high copay but you take that with the cost of the supplemental 200 and the SSI 110 and you are shelling out a 1000 a mo for medical which I know compared to some is nothing but I am trying to figure out what to do in future so I'm not living in my car taking pills....LOL. My Xifanan is the most expensive right now but to get any help with it will affect my supplemental.
Avatar f tn My insurance covered it with just my copay at our doctors office. I would call your insurance to see if they cover it or even partly cover it.
Avatar f tn That's with insurance^^ it's about $10-20,000 for vaginal dependin on complications needs...
Avatar n tn umm in the usa without insurance, n im chronic.
1036535 tn?1278502599 Looking at the EOB from insurance they repeatedly charged me for something that cost $89.72. The only thing I got more several times was Pepsi, and I know an 8 oz. can doesn't cost that much ;) I can't believe the stupid insurance company paid this right away, but haven't paid other, more legitimate things without a fight!
Avatar f tn Beyond annoyed. With my first pregnancy I had blue cross and it only cost $200 a month for my husband and I. And it was absolutely amazing. Now with this one we have aetna and since all the crazy healthcare act junk it cost us over $500 a month. And they don't even cover my 20 week anatomy scan. It goes towards my deductible which is extremely frustrating. Pretty angry I pay so much every month to make other people's lives easier essentially only to haveto stress about money myself.
Avatar f tn Yes you do, here in the UK we have the nhs so we don't have to pay, but other countries like US don't have nhs they have health insurance instead so, like with our car insurance, if u don't have insurance or ur insurance doesn't cover it then u have to pay
Avatar f tn You are getting a great deal. On SOC with my insurance, I paid $100. for the peg/interferon and $40.
Avatar m tn This varies with or w/o insurance. Let us know what meds you will be taking, and we can provide you with specifics. Please take the time to read about the % your liver can be damaged if you continue drinking AT ALL. Best of luck to you.
799360 tn?1239288130 My medical coverage was playing the fight game with the Rx on which one should cover it? So my suggestion is to call your insurance and ask them if they cover it at all? Good luck.
Avatar f tn Hi I am diagnosed with adenomyosis. I have bleeding almost everyday for 7 months now. I filled out the paperwork for a hysterectomy, but my insurance refuses to pay for it. I would be getting my uterus and cervix removed. How much do they cost out of pocket and is there any kind of financial assistance that would help me pay for the medical bill?
748907 tn?1233163781 But you will still need tests (different blood test, biopsy) and doctors visits so anyone with HCV needs health insurance in the USA. Period. At least until our current health system is overhauled. But don't hold your breath waiting because too many people are making a lot of money with the current system. HCV over time causes liver disease if you are infected and your body couldn't kill the virus itself. That is what you want to avoid. Without a liver you can live. Bones hurting?
1722607 tn?1335747858 Victrelis as a $200 per month coupon on their website. It covers my copay so the Vic is free.
968560 tn?1307451498 t handle. My Dr. had told me to take Benadryl (over the counter capsules) to help with my rash (along with Hydrocortizone 1% cream) & it will make you sleepy. It did help some. I had to take naps in the day & that helped as long as I didn't sleep too long. I sat at my PC a few nights crying not knowing what to do, who to talk to or not talk to, who helped me, who didn't, etc. This is a disease that will sure weed out your friends from your TRUE friends.
