lunesta bad taste

I took Lunesta 3mg, or whatever highest dose is, for a month. I never got over the metallic taste either so I stopped. I didn't have any issues stopping, but it didn't work well for me with sleep anyway. I would try only when needed.

i never had the bad taste in my mouth though..i got that from lunesta taht is the most rancid i would ever get ever..a metallic hell in my mouth..

I took lunesta myself, and it also gave me a horrible taste in my mouth, but that's one of the side effects of the lunesta. my husband took it b4 & he didnt have the bad taste, but i sure did! it was ughhh, but i fell asleep shortly after!!!

d the rozarem along with the lunesta (this was my sub doctor - said it was perfectly safe and I had no bad effects from it). I actually liked the rozarem. I dont know if youve ever seen the "It brings your dreams back" commercials, but it REALLY DID bring my dreams back. I got such a kick out of that. I dreampt every night. (I no longer ever dream). I stopped getting it though as it was not covered under my insurance and couldnt afford it.

Lunesta. Feeling. Stomach upset, weird taste in mouth and gut issues. Pain from CRPS HAS RETURNED SINCE I DONT TAKE MY PAIN MANAGEMENT MEDS TOGETHER.

I would agree with ricart....if you are getting even a little natural sleep then your better off staying away from Lunesta....I will also add that one side effect experienced frequently...myself included....is a taste like sucking on a sock full of dirty pennies...eww!!!!

For the last fev days, ever since we are using humidifier I have a metallic taste in my mouth; the strongest is always in the morning; my husband just turn on house humidifier and I wonder if this is just coincident, or it does have something to do with the humidifier... furnice, and humidifier are working more during the night, that would explain, but is so strange... anybody has any idea?

ve taken Cymbalta for Chronic Pain, and it did change my tastes. It either dulled them, or caused foods that I used to love to taste bad. However, it didn't cause a metallic taste, however.

m 21 yr old female and was diagnosed when i was 19. I was doing great on all the meds and changing my lifestyle then i had a bad relapse of symptoms recently...worse then ever. i notice though when i do get a good nights sleep I feel more normal. For the past couple months i have not been able to sleep good at all. I wake up many times in the night. i have trouble just falling asleep. My doctor prescribed me remeron and it definetely helped with sleep but it made my POTS worse than ever.

I have noticed that right after and for a day or two after the shot, I get a nasty coated tongue and throat that tastes horrible, but is usually gone in a couple days. I'm on triple w/ incivek. I thought it might be the lunesta, since I only take it on shot night.

The only thing that works for me is ambein.

The only side effect from Lunesta that I know is it leaves most people with a metallic taste in their mouth - especially noticeable when you drink water.

I had insomnia during TX and was first given a RX for Ambian - it helped & then later Lunesta but I couldn't take it - gave me this awful "metal taste" that I couldn't handle. My Dr. had told me to take Benadryl (over the counter capsules) to help with my rash (along with Hydrocortizone 1% cream) & it will make you sleepy. It did help some. I had to take naps in the day & that helped as long as I didn't sleep too long.

Lunesta though effective causes weird nightmares on waking up. Lunesta is also seen to cause a very nasty metallic taste in mouth after intake. You should consult your healthcare physician for advise on which drug would suit you better . Do write in if you need any additional information.

Hello! I used to take Lunesta and I didn't care for it. I had a bad taste in my mouth 24/7 from it and found that I just didn't sleep as well. Now I take Ambien every night. There is a 5mg dose and a 10mg dose. Years ago I was on the 5mg dose and I found out I WAS doing stuff at night (at least once) without realizing it, but it was nothing dangerous. A few weeks after that episode, I woke up still feeling the effects of the drug which I describe as being drunk.

I seem to be having dreams, not bad, but strange. Sometimes they appear to be real even after I wake up. I have also heard of people having sleep walking while on it. If so, do you have any other suggestions? I could just take otc stuff, thats what i did before, but this was so much better and easier t take. thanks, meg ..who is having bad days lately !!

Lunesta taste like rat poisen and you cannot even brush your teeth to get rid of taste your first step should be trying the hot bath thing. will make you feel so much better.

My doctor gave me Lunesta to sleep. I also tried Rozerem. Lunesta worked GREAT!!!!! The only side effect I had was strange taste in my mouth when it started to kick in. But I would fall asleep and STAY asleep for 7 to 8 hours. When I wake up, Im wide awke and feel rested. If not, after the first 3 nights of not sleeping I would have been in the hospital because I felt like I was going crazy. Rozerem did not work as fast at nite and I did wake up and was sleepy in the morning.

They say its non addictive but LIARs Liars, pants on fires. I have heard of horrific withdrawal stories from it. Lunesta gave me the metalic taste as does Ambien. Also makes my gums inside my cheeks sore and jaw pain. Had to get off of both. Lyrica makes me sleep all night and half the morning so, Im not taking it anymore. Not a good drug for sleeping if that's what your looking for. Has addictive qualities.

I've been getting an awful taste in the back of my mouth for weeks now it's not a matalic taste but like a bad breath taste (that may sound strange but I don't know how else to describe it) it isn't a constant taste happens every few days and it's not helping with my sickness. Anybody having the same problem or know any solutions?

I have the same problem, its almost like a bad after taste in your mouth after anything you eat. Mines sit in the back of my throat and it disgust me!!!. I've tried several things but no resolution yet!
