Lunesta and sleep eating

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta and sleep eating

lunesta

Avatar f tn Lunesta has some nasty side effects, driving and eating while sleeping, confusion. Did you try OTC sleep aids? Melatonin, valerian root, altering, sleep by nature made?
Avatar n tn I get better quality sleep and it feels more natural with lunesta. The nausea may just be a side affect of ambien. I love lunesta but do to the cost, I usually end up with generic ambien. Lunesta's patent has not expired yet.
Avatar m tn this is just my experience, and I'm not on tx yet...I can't take Lunesta and ambien, ambien makes me feel nutzo the next morning, but many people are fine with it...I take ativan if I have had a lot of sleepless nights in a row, and at a very low dose...I find tranquilizers lull me into sleep, which I prefer...best of luck...
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
2021910 tn?1339896686 i ask my doctor wat i could take to make me sleep since im only get 3 hrs of sleep and she told me not to take sleeping pill. she recommended benadryl (not spelled right).
Avatar n tn Which sleep aid is less addicting and less toxic, ambien or lunesta. I have heard ambien is hard on your liver.
Avatar f tn ) it made me so hungry all I wanted to do was eat, and it did not let me sleep. Fetzima is fairly new and not much reviews. I did try to research Lunesta and Addrell together, not finding anything on those 2 together. The info I find on long term Lunesta use states if the person does not have prior drug abuse (I've never had this issue) there was reason to be concerned. I was not having any side effects from them at all. Question- has anyone else had problems with Lunesta and Adderall?
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
335728 tn?1331414412 ll add a new category of treatments called anti-depressants to the sleep tracker in the near future. Zopiclone is actually the generic name for Lunesta, so go ahead and use Lunesta (already in the tracker) to track usage of Zopiclone. We'll let you know when anti-depressants are available to track.
Avatar n tn I never tried remeron, but ambien was horrible and so was resterol the taste of the lunesta that it leaves in your mouth is horrible so there is no easy answer but I did find the ativan did help for a while and I still take it with the lunesta and I agree if I get a good nights sleep the next day is much better.
Avatar n tn You think you are not going to sleep without it so you go ahead and take it every night. I tried lunesta but couldn't get past the taste. It stayed with me all night. I also take ambein . It helps with irritability.
Avatar n tn But there came a point where I was taken off of Lunesta because I have other health issues and i was tired all of the time and sleep wasnt a problem. Now it has become a problem again and the specialist treating my other health issues put me on Ambien. I try other things before taking the Ambien. I dont get sleepy with over the counter meds. So that I dont get so worried about addiction, I take my Xanax instead of the Ambien periodically. But NEVER EVER take them together.
Avatar f tn Stress cant sleep hmm I dont like taking the Ambien because I shop and text and tell jokes and dont remember but I sleep good-any suggestions on sleeping 12:00 I should be asleep guess my mind is running tonight. Do other people feel this way most the time I sleep well maybe because my husband and I arent speaking oh boy this really messes with you sometimes! Wish I lived off the water would go out and listen to waves!
Avatar m tn I'm no doctor, so I definitely can't give you any medical information on Ambien, but I can relay my personal experience with it. I've been on Ambien (currently 10mg) for SEVERAL years now (5 or more). I have many chronic pain conditions, including fibroymalgia. One of the major symptoms of fibro is insomnia - which I definitely suffer from!
486038 tn?1300063367 Can you sleep? I used to sleep like a log, and now I move so much it's getting scary. (the past 3/4 year) Last night I hit my head on the windowsill beside my bed while i was sleeping, which promptly woke me up.... i hit it very hard. :) I have a bump, and a one-sided horrid head-ached with pain from that area (bump) above my left temple that radiates into my left eye and nausea and well, just am not happy.
Avatar f tn You might try taking a combination of Valerian and Melatonin when you stop the Lunesta. I was taking Lunesta in my early withdrawals and it did make me sleep, but that nasty taste was to much for me. I must say I haven't really slept really well since, but the herbs I mention do help somewhat, I take a hot bath before bed then I take them. From what I've heard Lunesta withdrawals are mainly mental, but you can get addicted to just about anything.
Avatar m tn its been 2 days on That dose, tday im gonna try not to take it. My Doc prescribed me some 350mg soma for the pain and lunesta for sleep. Im going to try taking soma if the pain becomes unbearable, any advice pls?
Avatar f tn Recently, i have been on night duty every other week. I am having to use Lunesta to hep me sleep during the day but would rather use something more natural- I was thinking of melatonin- there seems to be conflicting reports about it's effect with autoimmune diseases. I have been stable for a few years- has anyone with Hashi's actually used it?
1000729 tn?1253365050 So, I promised not to post a thread any earlier than every 5 days cuz it's unfair to flood the forum!!!!! Here's my update!!!! Da1-3 was pure he11!!!! I have never dealt with such lack of energy and depression and sick to my stomach and chills and etc., etc...... I wouldn't wish that upon my worse enemy!!!! Day 4 I felt a little better and today even a little better.... I am still concerned about the half life of the Fent.
Avatar f tn Lexapro is an anti-depressant, with some positive affects on anxiety, but it also has side effects, so it seems strong and wrong for what you have and it can be hard to quit taking if you're on it a long time -- the body has a hard time readjusting to not having serotonin artificially affected. I wouldn't think that's a good choice for a start here, nor would I Lunesta, in my opinion, since sleeping pills can leave one drowsy and bother REM sleep, as can Lexapro and clonazepam.
Avatar n tn I agree with Mammo as far as the exercise during the day and relaxing before bedtime. I, too have to watch T.V. or read to fall asleep. Pure quiet is my worst enemy. I also use an air cleaner for white noise. I don't know which benzo you are taking, but there may be a better one for you. Ambien did nothing for me when I had insomnia due to anxiety. Neurontin (gabapentin) helps with sleep due to anxiety and has no dependence issues.
Avatar n tn Unfortunately, most doctors have very little experience and education with complex sleep issues and resort to writing meds. I had a sleep study 6 years ago. No apena, less than 100 minutes of sleep ( out of 360) and REM time under 30 min. I have tried everything including acupuncture, brain music, herbal remedies and most of the drugs on the market.
Avatar f tn A cocktail of 10 mg of belsomra and 1 mg of lunesta will allow you to sleep again. Should that not work then add 1 mg of lunesta. Finally, you can do 25mg of belsomra and 3 mg of lunesta... for those with lupis wgo can never sleep. One could also at this point aleep whenever tired; like during the day without drugs. But then youd likely be done for the day; vut you did without medicating for one say. At this point your body is severly messed up and you cant work: so anytime is good.
Avatar n tn I have a terrible sleep disorder and have tried numerous products to sleep @ night ie: Lunesta, Ambien, Ambien CR, Remeron, etc. The best thing I have found, and it's non addictive/no side effects , to take a benedryl 1/2 hr before I go to bed. Make sure to get at least 6-8 hours of sleep.
266660 tn?1189755834 ) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.
1355301 tn?1287967641 Well, I have gone 3 nights without the lunesta and was able to sleep better. I still dream, but not as vivid and not as wild. I know it won't take long before I'll need something different, but maybe I can gather the courage to try the ambien soon. My PCP is scared of it because it caused her to do weird things that fortunately her husband was there to stop her from getting out of hand. Maybe I can get her to get me a sleep study as well.
Avatar f tn The people I have seen get off of them have tapered slowly and found another drug to help with sleep until sleep normalizes. Slowly reduce your dose and try a non-narcotic sleep aid such as Rozerem or Trazodone.
