Have seen several people have seizures when TAKING tramadol. and, every tramadol related seizure I saw did not seem related to how high a dose the person was taking; RATHER was in instances where someone markedly INCREASED their dose. I think the confusion is in that seizures are common when withdrawing from sedatives (alcohol, barbiturates, benzodiazapines etc). Rare in opiate withdrawal.
I'm just wondering how many of us are agoraphobic and to what extent. I know that I am and fight it all the time but make sure that I do leave my home most days. I have a very dear friend who hasn't left her home in almost 7 years. She has had all kinds of therapy and has tried SSRIs and other meds but is now VERY meds phobic and even with the CBT she finally gave up and just stays home. I'm wondering if there are others on this forum who are like her or are the majority like me.
Hey yall, So I have already seen a neurologist once, this past week, and he is ordering an MRI, which I should have done this week. But just curious about the symptoms that I'm having and if anybody has experienced them. My nuero said that I could have possible dysautonomia, or some cardiac problem. Either way, here's what has happened so far. I apologize if this is long. Just wanted to try to get everything in. I am having the sensation that I'm not in reality, almost like I'm in a dream.

The vitamins are good for her and the dosage is correct. The puzzler here is the Costocongitis which is inflammation of the cartilage in the chest wall. She is already on the Toprol for angina, which makes me wonder if she needs both meds, and why. You can always talk to your local pharmacist, take a list of her medications and ask if there are any interactions, he is your best resource for this.

I have been taking tegretol for seizures and bi-polar disorder for 10 yrs. now. Yesterday, 2-13-10 I fainted in the back yard and was discovered by a faimly member and was taken to the hospitol by ambulance. When i came to (at home) I had absolutely no recollection of fainting or falling. The Doctor at the hospitol was very concerned about my sleeping disorder and recommended that I see a sleep order specialist. I've taken ambien, 10 mg.

It is not known to be physically addictive tho Large doses of tramadol or benzos can cause seizures if stopped abruptly and best to do under a drs care. Ambien and lunesta are not known to have a seizure risk if stopped...but if ur dose was huge, the possibilty would be there as with many drugs the brain becomes accustomed to. We are all different tho and some are more prone to seizures than others/but not common with cessation of ambien. You state you took 1-2, sometimes 3....

Effexor, Cymbalta, Prozac, Lexapro) While these antidepressant drugs are occasionally used in pets, overdoses can lead to serious neurological problems such as sedation, incoordination, tremors and seizures. Some antidepressants also have a stimulant effect leading to a dangerously elevated heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature. Pets, especially cats, seem to enjoy the taste of Effexor and often eat the entire pill. Unfortunately, just one pill can cause serious poisoning.
I have taken paxil, zoloft, welbutrin, lunesta, ambien, ambien cr, topamax, klonipin, xanax, depakote, geodon and some others. I've felt the worst while on the medication. Now since I am finally over the ordeal and been off the ambien for 3 weeks, off the geodon for 2 weeks and off the depakote for 1 week, I feel fine and able to sleep at night. I do have a history of depression from childhood but that was it...just depression. I no longer have racing thoughts ...
In fact, I'm so desperate in the middle of the night, that I've nearly OD'd myself w/o knowing it- because I'm not lucid enough to recall what I've taken that night- and will add a Xanax to my lunesta in the middle of the night, and then a Unisom or two and hour later, then maybe some more lunesta- that was a bad day. I was told by study nurse in an email that my 12 week PCR had to be undetected in order to continue. So that meant that I was undetected. Am I?

In rare cases, high levels of serotonin in the brain may cause severe complications like seizures, stroke, and even death. If sertraline and trazodone are used together, it may be best to start with very low doses of each drug under the careful supervision of your doctor. Ask your healthcare provider about these drugs and this potential interaction as soon as possible. This interaction is poorly documented and is considered major in severity.
