lunesta and nyquil

I'm awake, sadly. I slept only an hour and a half and my body is telling me it's time to get up :( Lot lost , what kind of NyQuil worked for you?

Hi everyone, I am on day 7 also and lastnight was the first night I actually slept 7 hrs straight...... At the begining I tried a bendryl and it didnt work and then nyquil.. I gave up trying and went for tea and crackers....... I only hope tonight is as good or better,,,,?

I have a very hard time staying asleep. I have been taking Nyquil at night and it has worked great keeping me asleep. I just don't think it is very good for me. Is Tyenol pm better to take? Is it bad to take that on a regular basis too?

NyQuil has a new sleep aid out called Zzzzquill! That seems to work pretty good for me. It's liquid and is absorbed better, at least for me. You might try it! Try not to stress!

Look at it like it IS your choice to be clean. Be proud of yourself and believe in what you are doing and that it is right for you and those you love! The Hylands Restful Legs is great, but the Hylands Leg Cramps is GREAT for the pain in the legs and back that WD causes. The mag/cal/zinc supplement from walmart is good for legs and other symptoms. I would definitely get these things plus the stuff vicki says to get. I never had luck with melatonin, but a lot of people do.

lunesta and ambein our being sold as nonarcotioc but over to much time who knows iam currently on lunesta coming of a year of oxy. It worked before I was a idiot and got hooked on oxy my doc gave to me and it was not addictive to fall asleep , but now on my fifth day of withdrwals from oxy it gave me 5 hrs last night with no RLS. Hopecthat helps.

I've taken ambien and lunesta. All sorts of problems with ambien including abuse. None of those issues with lunesta. It's still a hypnotic and anyone taking them should be educated about the drug and cautious about its use.

I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.

Thanks Barb for responding, I have an appointment set up for a MMR shot with my DR office on Tuesday, so I will be talking with them about my sickness as well. I don't think I will be getting my shot either, just a guess. But I just need something to get me by the next 2 days and thought I'd find out about what the side effects were if I took the Nyquil, I just don't want any complications in the process. I took the Nyquil last night anyways and slept for awhile.

anti-histamines are most commonly used for allergies such as benadryl, but is often found in OTC sleep aids, and some older anti-histamines have anxiolytic effects, and many other uses. Taking nyquil every so often will help you get to sleep and stay a sleep due to a cold or irritation, but its not relally useful for insomnia. theres where more prescription sleepaids come into the mix, but enough rambling, your body will still burn calories while you sleep if you take nyquil...

I've been going for walks every night after dinner, I have some sleepy time tea in the house, I'll try a cup tonight and then take my lunesta maybe it will help, I've tried valerian and melatonin in the past and they don't work for me, I've been on ambien or lunesta so long nothing else really helps me

Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.

I'm on Ambien every night, otherwise, I would only get 2 hours of sleep a night. The benefits outweigh the risks. My doctor said there is a chance of depending on it to put you to sleep, but when my newborn comes, I'll wean off of it from having to be up with him all night. I even took Ambien with my first son, and he was born picture perfect. Get some rest!

It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.

I think it *is* likely your medicine extravaganza during your bronchitis may have temporarily elevated your liver enzymes. Just go get retested in a few weeks. Also, mixing Nyquil with the tylenol is a big no, no. Nyquil has alcohol and, when mixed with tylenol, can do (tah dah) exactly what happened to you! I'm sure one time won't damage your liver, but now you know! Take care.

When I kept forgetting to take the second dose, he suggested the 30mg X-RAY And it seemed to work extremely well, I was not sleeping at all, had lots of stress and went through a number of different antidepressants, they all pretty much made feel hung over and generally like crap all day. He suggested Lunesta and it seemed to work enough to get atleast 6hrs of sleep and felt well rested the next day.

valium is a safer benzo/still addicting but not as strong as xanax....there r safer sleep meds..ambien and lunesta altho i have heard of people abusing those as well...not physically addicting as a rule tho....valerian root and ambien is what i used...many like melatonin...then there is benadryl which is usually the ingrediend in otc sleep aids like tylenol pm....anything a person uses every night to sleep can become mentally habit forming tho..even nyquil!

Not nyquil. But if you have cold like a symptoms Tylenol makes cold and flu drowsy med and thats okay and it knocked me out.

I would certainly make a call to your pediatrician and tell them what happened , they may say keep and eye on the child or bring him in..good luck ...

I did take some nyquil last night and woke up feeling a tad bit better.

I don't think nyquil okay but I'm not sure.

I took sudafed once and almost passed out. My doctor said that Nyquil can actually help PVCs so I take it frequently.
