lunesta and klonopin

) I was prescribed Klonopin for anxiety and sleep and she said to not take it with Lunesta (this is after I asked *her*, she didn't mention it until then.) The Klonopin seems to work as well as the Lunesta, BTW. Kevin, I've read that Lunesta and Ambien are the same "types" of sleep aids but that is all I know. I hope Ryan can clear this up for us.

As needed or regularly? I personally would be scared to take Klonopin and Lunesta together. Have you done it yet? Is the Lunesta just for once in awhile?

Klonopin is a benzo and should have a sort of 'sedative' effect on you...it usually will calm you down and is actually a longer acting than others in the same class like Ativan or Xanax. However, medications affect people in different ways. If you are having problems with this go back and talk to your doctor about it. Just don't stop taking it or adjust dosage on your own. Keep us posted!

Can I take Klonopin wafer with my other sleeps meds: Lunesta 6mg, Tamazapan 30mg and Melontonin 5mg...? Thank you.

I never tried remeron, but ambien was horrible and so was resterol the taste of the lunesta that it leaves in your mouth is horrible so there is no easy answer but I did find the ativan did help for a while and I still take it with the lunesta and I agree if I get a good nights sleep the next day is much better.

sleep is priceless to many and psychological...and/or physical addiction is very easy to any sleep med that u depend on every night....i think the worst thing possible is for someone to depend on a true benzo for sleep tho...

I can personally say that I was prescribed 8 mgs of Suboxone and 2 mgs of Klonopin per day. I had been on the Klonopin for a while before I started the Suboxone. And I was very eager to get off the Suboxone, so I always kept my dose at the threshold of withdrawal...not taking amounts that would get me high. For me, the Klonopin was actually a very helpful tool in tapering down my Suboxone.

As of last week (maybe two weeks ago), I had reduced my Klonopin intake from 3 MG/day to 1.5 MG/day.

So, I promised not to post a thread any earlier than every 5 days cuz it's unfair to flood the forum!!!!! Here's my update!!!! Da1-3 was pure he11!!!! I have never dealt with such lack of energy and depression and sick to my stomach and chills and etc., etc...... I wouldn't wish that upon my worse enemy!!!! Day 4 I felt a little better and today even a little better.... I am still concerned about the half life of the Fent.

ll alternate between the valerian and the Klonopin, and only on as as needed basis. I am trying to keep my prozac at 40 ml, as more than that does keep me awake at night. I've nearly reached menopause, so maybe my good sleep of the long-ago past will some day return! Sorry this is so lengthy, Dr. Rajput!

I started taking Ambien & Prozac in Oct 2009. I started building a resistance so my doctor prescribed for me Restoril, that didn't work so she started me on Lunesta. After I started building a resistance to the Lunesta my doctor prescribed for me Ambien CR 12.5mg. It's now March 2010 and I need 4 or more Ambien CR to sleep. I can't sleep without it!!! I haven't taken the CR 12.5mg in 24hr and I have the common addiction symptoms.

s like Klonopin have to be tapered very slowly. Its better to wait and be safe than sorry.. seizures and the other awful withdrawals symptoms are very scary so take care of yourself..

I was on 4-2mg a day and I tappered myself off Klonopin.. its a really good drug I just had been on Xanax and did not want to rellive that nightmare so after a number of years on them I started to pop them in half and take 1/2 less each day. Now I spread this out over a long time and I was able to get off them. I do still take 1 - 2mg at night to sleep.. I have tried to get off it several time but have the most weird dreams.. I know I can wean it down I just dont botther too right now..

but then if you take klonopin ambien and GABA does that permanently damage your though processes

I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.

I started having awful anxiety attacks and had to go on klonopin. I went back to work and was doing so much better until I had this last back surgery 7 wks ago. Then the anxiety got much worse. The afternoon problem has been there for a year. My doctor said it is anxiety. If so, will it ever go away? Sorry about such a long answer. I just need some help with this. I'm like so many I hear from on here, I want my life back.

Hey all, so I got tired of not sleeping more than 4hrs a night after being off of Tramadol 42days and my Dr gave me Lunesta. I asked if it was addicting and he said yes but you won't buid up a tolerance to it... I would like to hear this though from someone that has taken this medication and has had to come off it... How hard was it? What where the wds like???ect.ect any info on this would be appreciated...Thank You. Jeffi.

I'm on Ambien every night, otherwise, I would only get 2 hours of sleep a night. The benefits outweigh the risks. My doctor said there is a chance of depending on it to put you to sleep, but when my newborn comes, I'll wean off of it from having to be up with him all night. I even took Ambien with my first son, and he was born picture perfect. Get some rest!

It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.

The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.

When I kept forgetting to take the second dose, he suggested the 30mg X-RAY And it seemed to work extremely well, I was not sleeping at all, had lots of stress and went through a number of different antidepressants, they all pretty much made feel hung over and generally like crap all day. He suggested Lunesta and it seemed to work enough to get atleast 6hrs of sleep and felt well rested the next day.

i take it in the afternoon....i just got lunesta to take for the insomnia and that really doesn't work and I also just switched to klonopin from xanax....

Now I am post TX and the insomnia has not yet left, so they prescribed Ambien and Lunesta for me (i grew allergic to something in the benedryl). They are all harmless to liver but the ambien & lunesta do cause dependence so I alternate them: Ambien for a couple nights, then lunesta (which does not work as well for me) for one night. The 'dependence' is not a big deal; just means you'll have a several very sleepless nights after you quit them.

I just had a hysterectomy march 24, 2009 and still recovering. I am still in a lot of pain. I went to my post-op appointment today and I am not recovering like I am supossed to (with three daughters it's hard) but I do rest while they are all in school. I am doing things I am not supposed to be doing so my doctor put me on bed rest for the next 2 weeks. I am already on prozac (depression), Lunesta (insomnia), klonopine (anxiety & sezuires)and Hormone pills.

s), actually works best for me but builds up a tolerance too quickly. Ambien and Lunesta are garbage for me also. The best thing I found was Trazodone, 100mg's before bed, taken with food to be better absorbed into the blood. Sometimes I need 150mg's, but will wake up the next day like coming out of a coma.

its been 2 days on That dose, tday im gonna try not to take it. My Doc prescribed me some 350mg soma for the pain and lunesta for sleep. Im going to try taking soma if the pain becomes unbearable, any advice pls?

this is just my experience, and I'm not on tx yet...I can't take Lunesta and ambien, ambien makes me feel nutzo the next morning, but many people are fine with it...I take ativan if I have had a lot of sleepless nights in a row, and at a very low dose...I find tranquilizers lull me into sleep, which I prefer...best of luck...
