Lunesta and heart palpitations

Common Questions and Answers about Lunesta and heart palpitations

lunesta

Avatar f tn Hey hon. I have felt both of these things. I even began to worry that something was wrong with my heart. Then I decided to go to a doctor to get checked out and everything was fine with my heart I just had extremely high blood pressure. My doctor then put me on 1mg of klonopin and it took away my heart palpitations completely! I don't believe that medication is for everyone but maybe it's something you should look into.
Avatar n tn I dont know why it is making me nausea. My doc then perscribed lunesta 3mg. Has anyone tried lunesta and experienced better sleep with it? I am afraid of trying lunesta because i dont want to feel so nausea again. I didn't take any sleep med last night...didnt have a very good sleep but still i feel nausea. I need something to help me sleep without causing nausea and to help me sleep like a baby throughout the night pleaseee.
Avatar f tn It's 3 weeks since I've been having a pretty serious depression, including anxiety & sleeplessness. I was put on a new antidepressant LexiPro (15 days now), xanax as needed, which I only need to "take the edge off" when Im shaky, and Lunesta to sleep. This is the 2nd time I've used Lunesta.
Avatar n tn I never tried remeron, but ambien was horrible and so was resterol the taste of the lunesta that it leaves in your mouth is horrible so there is no easy answer but I did find the ativan did help for a while and I still take it with the lunesta and I agree if I get a good nights sleep the next day is much better.
Avatar f tn 24 hr tape showed no abnormality, some supraventricular ectopics(which i never felt), but was told thats normal. I have had palpitations on and off for years, but usually only related to stress/hormonal times in month, alcohol. They were a bit more frequent towards end of last year, hence the ECG. Anyway, cardiologist has seen results, and ruled out any serious causes of short pr interval(I was terrifeid it was WPW at first, but he sees no sign of that).
Avatar f tn I just finished a 5 day z pack that was prescribed for a sinus infection that was giving me severe headaches. My heart started to feel funny and I looked at the insert which said could cause irregular hearbeats. I've taken this medication in the past with no issue. I do not have any cardiac disease but I do smoke, should I just wait for about 5 days to see if once the meds are out of my system I'm ok, or should I go see a doctor or go to the ER?

Avatar f tn Hi. I also have had heart palpitations. I talked with the doctor and she said probably is nothing, but they are going to check the thyroid hormonea..they can increase during pregnancy and cause palpitations, but i even if it is the case she said not to worry, it is nothing complicated, maybe some supplements to get them under control. Ask your doctor, but don't worry. Good luck!
Avatar m tn My son is 18 and started having heart palpitations and chills tonight. He also has a headache. He can't relax because this is bothering him so much. He does have a doctors appt tomorrow at 11:15am. Any suggestions to calm the palpitations?
Avatar n tn I get heart palpitations from time to time with no concern and have been to the doctors within the past yr and have had my heart listened to. However last night i was talking my dogs for a walk up this steep hill and stopped because i got a heart palpitation, but also had this quick sharp pain in my heart, the pain only lasted for a second or two and the palpitations ended soon after. I felt fine afterwards but had much anxiety about the pain.

Avatar f tn I have been having heart palpitations for about a year now and I'm 24 years old. I usually get the palpitations before and during my period and when I'm in stressful times. I am worried that in the future when I get pregnant this will affect me.
2021910 tn?1339896686 I'm on Ambien every night, otherwise, I would only get 2 hours of sleep a night. The benefits outweigh the risks. My doctor said there is a chance of depending on it to put you to sleep, but when my newborn comes, I'll wean off of it from having to be up with him all night. I even took Ambien with my first son, and he was born picture perfect. Get some rest!
Avatar m tn The highest available dose of Lunesta is 3mg. Recently, thought is that Lunesta, Ambien, and others in this class are very similar to benzodiazepine drugs. But I haven't read much about addiction or withdrawl from these meds. Seems like insomnia would be a given, but you could try melatonin or valerian root to combat that. Good luck either way.
Avatar n tn Does anyone know if thats good i tried it once and really liked it it doesnt seem to be addicting
Avatar n tn I am experiencing a lot of skipped heart beats and I've had checks in the past and the doctor has ordered further tests. In the meantime I'm wondering if they are part of zoplicone withdrawal. I'd been on zoplicone for about a year and was just weaning off before Christmas, but then there were noise problems where I was living and a doctor told me to just increase my zoplicone as a short term measure. Foolishly I did. I was only on a quarter of a 3.
Avatar f tn Our adrenal system is closely related to our hormones, so if your adrenals are having issues, it will effect hormones and could in turn cause heart palpitations. Also, if progesterone is off, that could cause it. Additionally, low Magnesium, low Vitamin D, low B12, - all an cause heart palpitations. Get a full panel done and see. Maybe it will be something as simple as a vitamin deficiency. Hope this helps... God Bless.
Avatar f tn thank you for advice i do have stress but even when im relaxed watching tv i get this tingling all over my body its not always the same time as the flushing and palpitations i have been in hospital a few times on a drip to slow my heart rate down from 230 beats my heart dr is starting me on a new tablet next week and says i might have to have an operation its really scary i feel for everyone on here and wish everyone well take care.
Avatar f tn When I kept forgetting to take the second dose, he suggested the 30mg X-RAY And it seemed to work extremely well, I was not sleeping at all, had lots of stress and went through a number of different antidepressants, they all pretty much made feel hung over and generally like crap all day. He suggested Lunesta and it seemed to work enough to get atleast 6hrs of sleep and felt well rested the next day.
Avatar n tn About a month later I started having A LOT of heart palpitations. I went to the ER and they did an EKG that came back normal and the doc said my heart seemed fine. He did indicate that he could see my palpitations on the heart monitor. My blood pressure was 100/65 and my pulse was 65. He tested my TSH and it was at 25. He told me to drop my synthroid down to 50 mcg until I saw my doc because he thought the medication may be the cause of my palpitations.
1685350 tn?1305344023 Can drinking heavily for a few days give me heart palpitations and sweating? I only really experience it when I stand up or do a strenuous activity. I also have bad anxiety. I never seem to experience it until I started drinking again for like a week or so.
Avatar f tn Everytime I eat my heart starts to race for no reason and when I go to sleep in certain positions my heart will start to palpitate and sometimes fast but I can always feel it like it's pumping hard. Does anyone know wut it cud be? Is anyone else having the same thing? I had most of the tests and nothing shows up.
Avatar f tn My endo said I may need to take thyroid hormone replacement therapy meds but he seemed to be a bit concerned about the palpitations and how the medication was going to make my palpitations worse. What's weird is that I actually never had palpitations before my thyroid problems started. Has anyone else here had a similar problem? Did you end up taking thyroid hormone replacement therapy meds and did they make your palpitations worse? or better?
