lump

I've noticed it all day, there is a slight lump on the right side under my jaw. It is moveable, and isn't excruciating just yet. When I apply pressure, or face my head downwards, it gets very sore. I am very curious to know if this is heard of commonly or not, and if it is a serious problem. Thank you!
I found a dime size painless lump under my jaw line on the right side. I have allergies to air irritants but I am not currently suffering from the symptoms and I don't have a cold. the left side has no lumps. Please help. I have an appointment to take him to the vet but was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what this might be.

But I have a bad cold at the moment and now the entire right side of my jaw is terribly sore, when I feel the lump under my jaw, it now hurts. I don't know if this is a swollen gland? I usually assume the worst and think cancer although I know it can't be true. If anybody knows what this might be it would help. My parents don't take my jaw issues seriously and probably won't take me to the doctor any time soon..

Did you ever find out what this lump under your jaw was? I have just found something similar.
18 y/o female, smoker, 5'9, 157 lbs Okay, so about 5 months ago i noticed a kidney bean sized lump under the inside my jaw (that could only be felt when i looked down and it moved to the other side of my jaw bone (the cheek side)). I thought nothing of it because it wasnt a 'characteristic' cancerous lump, as it is smooth, rubbery and movable. It is located directly under my 2nd molar, in that general area..
It was the size of a medium-sized egg, but now it has spread out like an pancake. I also discovered a hard lump under my left jaw this past February (almost where the curve of jaw is). It's grown a little since I first discovered it (it was about the size of the tip of a fingernail at first), now it's about the size of a large pea, hard as bone, immoveable.
I am having tooth pain in the right rear side of my mouth and i have a lump that is very sore that seems to come from under my jaw. I can only feel the lump if i tilt my head sideways and/or down. If im looking straight or up i cannot feel it. I just went to the doctor yesterday for sinus drainage and my doctor spent alot of time looking in my mouth. I would have thought he would have noticed something. So I am hesitant to make another appt.
I have a lump on the right side under my jawand ear. I noticed it one day when i was sitting in the car . it is a hard small lump and it doesnt move. I have also been feeling very tired lately. could i have cancer. it has been there for about 5 months now. it wont go away.
About 4 weeks ago a started a new job and found myself laughing more than usual, to the point that your cheeks and jaw hurt. After the weekend I noticed a small lump under my right side jaw line. It is not quite to the corner where the jaw bone begins to go upward. I would say about an inch in front of it. the lump feels rubbery and I can move the lump freely up and down sort of like a muscle knot. My first guess was that by using my muscles so much from laughing that I developed a knot.
I would say swollen lymph node, as well, though this doesn't always have to be painful. Is the lump soft and moveable, or hard? the swelling under the right ear may very likely be a lymph node, too...but it doesn't make sense that it would disappear 15 minutes after you have eaten. Have you had either of these things evaluated by a doctor, potentially a specialist like an ENT?
I recently noticed a rather large lump underneath my jaw, in the middle. the lump is above my adams apple and I am not sure if that would be considered my upper throat or if it would be considered lower jaw. Any ideas to what this may be as it is a immediate oncern to mine? This lump first appeared a day ago and does not bother me if/when I swallow food/drinks.
hi,i have a small lump under the left jawline it is painful and causeing my ear to hurt and the muscle surrounding the area i have had this for about 5 weeks now, the pain comes and gos but for the past 3 days it has been more intense and lasting for longer periods of time, please help if you have ever had this before and had a diagnosis
When I felt the spot, I could feel a small (bean-sized) lump that was positioned in a hollow space next to the interior of my jaw. the lump seems round, firm (but not hard), and I can freely move it up the other (cheek side) of my jaw. You cannot feel it if I look straight ahead, but if I tilt my head, you can feel it and start moving it.
Is there any correlation between the cystic acne breakout and the swollen lump under my jaw? Should I, in the meantime, go see a GP about this lump instead of waiting to see the dermatologist? Thank you in advance for any help or support you can provide.
I have been to my GP twice and neither doctor could feel any glands up and said every thing was fine even though i am aware of discomfort and even slight pain , I have had a full blood count done and thyroid check all was fine there too . I still can feel a lump on each side under my jaw bone and if i lie on one side and press on a certain part of my jaw there is pain , but as i stand up it dissapears PLEASE HELP.
If you look at a diagram of where the nodes/glands are its kinda where the submandibular glands are on each side! It's literally identical on both sides too! If I push up under my jaw behind where my teeth are sort of thing! I can feel a lump on each side it's quite hard and rubbery sort of feel! If I look down I can move the lump easily! I have checked elsewhere also and can't feel any nodes in my groin or armpit! It's literally just those two!
I've moved since then and he is too far away. How can a nerve die under a crown? When he put the crown on my tooth hurt the whole time, he said he couldn't numb it any further and I would just have to put up with it.
You will feel a little round lump under your jaw when these form. Most of the time they're about the size of a pea, but depending these usually go away within a couple of days, but the safest thing you can do is make an appointment with your doctor or even your dentist to make sure that this is all it is if it is still bothering you on Monday.
Can someone please tell me why i have this sore lump under my jaw it hurts and i am pretty scared. Could this be cancer? This discussion is related to Longstanding Lump under jaw-Biopsy Needed.
the hole has been closing but the lump has not gone, and every now and then the lump swells up slightly again and can be a little bit painful. Any advice on what it could be? Has the dentist missed something a bit more serious?

I have had some of the same issues, swollen lymph nodes under my jaw, ear and and near my temple the doctor had put me on antibiotics and they all went down, I had it another time but it was swollen on my forhead and down the side by my temple and ear and jaw once more but it looked like I had a scab just above my hairline where it was red and getting bigger so he perscribed antibiotic cream and it went away. He never told me what it was. Is this all happening on one side of your body?
