What can I say to some one that has an under-arm lump for the past 14yrs and does not want to trouble it and thinks it is better left alone. Can this be dangerous to be left untreated?
i am 27 years old and just recently found a lump under my arm, i saw my dac and he is sending me for an ultrasound but i am freaked out. i had one auntie who died from cancer, and now i am very scared. i know that it is probably nothing but i am worried and concerned. any advice would be wonderful.
A pea-sized lump appeared under my left arm, just above the arm pit, about 2 months ago. The lump is now about the size of a walnut. The skin looks discolored - a pinkish-purple color like a small bruise. When I press on the lump it is somehat hard, and hurts when I push on it. I haven't noticed any changes in my breasts. Should I be worried that this is a breat cancer warning? Your response will be very greatly appreciated.
I too have just noticed lump under arm, actually i had one about 3 weeks ago and it dissapeared after 1 week. Now I have it back again and it's really sore, it's a bit red, but not itchy or anything. Should I see a doctor?
it actually draws the skin in about half way up my arm on the underside when I try to stretch my arm completely out. The lump or whatever it could be seems to have gotten smaller but it is causing pain all the way down my upper arm. I have a doctor's appt. next week but am extremely worried and have not been able to find out much information from searching.
I have a recurring very painful lump under my left arm. I have gotten 3 of these in the past 2 years now. It comes up in the exact same spot on my arm pit. I have had it cut out and drained once, and been on antibiotics every other time. It will go away for a while then it just comes back. I can not wear any time of deoderant, even spray on because it just irritates it even more. Please help.
For almost 2 years I have had a lump under my left arm. Didnt go to dr because I was sure they would just say it was a boil or reaction to deodorant which I am certain it is not. Its definitely a lump slowly getting larger, not round in shape more elongated. skin on top is now looking discoloured. Not painful to touch.Sited at junction of armpit and breast. However my left arm has now become numb, numbness is now descending below elbow and into fingers.
Hi, How old are you? Since how long have you noticed the lumps? underarm lumps are axillary lymph nodes which could be enlarged secondary to infection or even trauma and in rare cases due to malignancy. They are usually enlarged when a new deodorant is used, after shaving or waxing the underarm area. Have you got an ultrasound done as yet and have you got a clinical examination got done by a physician? This would help in coming to a confirmed diagnosis.
i have a lump on my arm at the elbow just under my skin .many years ago this lump started out pretty much like a pimple. but when i squeezed it a string of connected white beady material came out. after a while the skin closed where i couldnt squeeze it out anymore and now its a small rock size hard lump. it hasnt grown in size and it doesnt feel connected to anything and i can move it around a little. has anyone heard of anything like this?
I am concerned about a small painful lump that has occured under my left arm-pit. It is probably the size of a 5pence peace, under the skin, with no head, but a slight reddish tinge around the top of it. Is this Lymp Noodles, if so what are these? is this cause for concern? I also have a rash on my legs, that has been a problem for about a year. I believe it developed when a friend of mine told me i should get treated for scabies, as she had become infected.
I have had 3 large painful bumps now for a week under my armpit, there all close to one another (the lump under my skin is as big as a baseball) no joke about that. It hurts and i can't lift my arm up at all!! Ive been to the hospital before, i had the same kind of bump on my thigh that got as big as a golf ball, the dr.
Hi deaj, just wondered if you found out what your lump is. I have a small pea size painful lump under my arm that appeared Sunday. I had shaved Saturday (so I know it wasn't there then) and just wondered if it has something to do with that. Any ideas?
I recently felt a small lump under my skin, and figuring it was a cyst that I could drain myself (dumb move), I poked at it with a needle. The area on the outside of my arm above the lump I poked out let out a small amount of dark blood, then became red and hard around the site where I poked the needle in. Will this go away on its own, or are there any ways to treat this?
My son is 16. Has lumps on his arm that resemble cysts.lumps appear overnight sometimes and has one also on finger joint. doc did blood tests and biopsy. tried to remove one from arm but too deep inside. he thought viral from blood tests but biopsy said otherwise. he's now going to send to dermatologist, within six months. I'm worried, any ideas?
About a month ago, I noticed a lump on my arm below the elbow. It is completely painless. I went to my GP to said he suspected it was a ganglion cyst and ordered a sonogram. The person who took the sonogram said she could see absolutely nothing. I am waiting to hear back from my GP re the sonogram results. I am absolutely terrified of the possibility of a future bone biopsy. Has anyone on this board had one and how painful is it?
At first I had a painful lump under my skin which I assumed would form into a zit within a day or so, but it never did. The area is no longer painful, but remains a not that noticable lump. When I push on it I can feel it's move. I had a smaller version near my right eyebrow a few days before this one formed but it is now similar in not hurting but just being there. What is it? How do I fix it?
About a week ago I noticed what felt like a small hard lump under my skin on the palm side of my forearm. What's strange about it is that I cannot actually see it, the skin is not irritated, there is NO visible bump/lump - there would be no way of knowing it was there without touching it. At first I thought it was an insect bite or something but as I say there is absolutely nothing visible and it feels very very firm unlike an insect bite. It does not move when I move my arm or poke it.
i am 21. 2 1/2 weeks ago, while shaving, i noticed a small lump under my right arm. i figured it was a "zit" and didnt think much about it. now, the one, small lump has turned into a lump the size of a large grape and two more small lumps have developed. these are deep under the skin and at first, there was no discoloration of the skin or discomfort. but now, the skin surface above the big one is red and the whole area is very sensitive.
