I have a lump, under the skin, in the palm of my left hand. It looks like a cord to the middle finger and just hurts a little. I also have a small lump on the nuckle of my right thumb which sometimes hurts alot. Are they connected. I am 56 years old and to take daily mutivitamins could the be associated with a calsium or iron over dose ?
Often the tissue thickens in one small area first and a “nodule” forms (a small, hard lump about 0.5-1cm) under the skin of the palm. The nodule sometimes feels tender to begin with, but this usually passes. The nodules are non-cancerous (benign) and the condition is not life-threatening for those who develop it, although it can be a nuisance to live with. Over time, the nodules can extend and form cords of tissue.
19 as well and I actually have that same pea like lump in my middle finger, the joint right before my palm begins. I looked on multiple websites and talked to my mom, who has had the same thing. It could possibly be something called Sebacus cyst. The doctor can cut it out but they say chances are it will just come back. Although they're not something you should have to worry about too much, you should probably just talked to a doctor and see what he said.
About a week ago I noticed what felt like a small hard lump under my skin on the palm side of my forearm. What's strange about it is that I cannot actually see it, the skin is not irritated, there is NO visible bump/lump - there would be no way of knowing it was there without touching it. At first I thought it was an insect bite or something but as I say there is absolutely nothing visible and it feels very very firm unlike an insect bite. It does not move when I move my arm or poke it.
I have a large and getting bigger lump in palm under my thumb and when using hand strenuously it hurts kind of hard and can almost flex it like a muscle

I am not on family planning and I do not drink or smoke. I develop sore lumps under my skin that feel hard on pressing. These disappear after 3-4 days leaving a visible dark sport size of a shirt button. They are intermitant occurring at intervals stretching from weeks to months. they occur on any part of the body. currently they have popped up on the sole of my right leg (two lumps), on the thigh (one lump) and on the palm of my hand.
Just this morning I felt pain in my palm like it was bruised. I noticed a lump on my palm between the base of my thumb and pointer finger. It is swollen and tender to the touch and is about a centimeter around. It is not bony, and follows right along the life line in my palm. It is not perfectly circle. I am 24, female and healthy. I am though at high risk for skin cancer due to several moles and I have a bony lump on my head as well which I have had a cat-scan for.
This lump is not so hard, but like a cartilage under his skin. In the beginning his paedia thought it may just be a dermoid cyst but the second doctor thought the location was a bit higher than where you normally find dermoid cysts (justat the tip of the eyebrow closer to the ear). So we consulted a Paediatric Neurosurgeon last Saturday. He thinks its nothing more than a benign cyst as it has not gotten any bigger than when we first noticed it.
Hi! I am a 22 yr old female. i have a long, sausage shaped lump in my lower right quadrant of the abdomen. i can almost feel movement in it..and it is sometimes hard, and sometimes soft and imperceptible. Also, it is absolutely painless, but move-able. I noticed it because i could feel it under my skin. I have the charlie horses in various places around my body, legs, feet, hands, under the ribs, under the breasts, etc. The pain can be excruciating. It can literally bend me over, make me cry, and scream out in pain. It happens in the shower, walking, using the bathroom, sitting in a chair, sleeping, etc. There is no particular time that this occurs. I can be doing nothing at all but laying on the sofa watching TV. If I get them in my legs, I have to walk them out.
went to the doctor who felt the lump and the ridge under my breast and asked me to come back. went back yesterday and the lump was hormone related but i am still very sore in between and below breasts. she has now diagnosed me as having inflammed muscles between my ribs. but i very tired all the time and dealing with a sore back. it's hard not to think it's something more.
Since my most recent scan only weeks ago, I have devoloped a lump just under my belly button that is about the size of my palm. This has been present for about 5 days. It is tender to touch and is a hard mass when I wake in the mornings. I wonder what this lump is likely to be related to. I have been also feeling more aching and naucious than usual. Any thoughts on what this lump may be due to would be greatly appreciated.
It almost feels like my shirt is rubbing against my skin but then it feels like that when I don't have a shirt on. I too sleep with my arm under my pillow, under my head. I have slept that way since I was born. I sometimes do it with my other arm but it's almost always with the arm where I feel the tingling. I've never been in an accident nor have I ever had an epideral. I had mild scoliosis when I was a child but that has long since gone. If anyone hears anything about this from an M.D.
I had the same problem - red swollen itchy eye which started on the skin just under my left eye as the weeks went on it spread to the eye lid, the bridge on my nose, between my eye brows and to to skin round my other eye. it drove me in sane it was so imbarassing going into work. On the days it wasn't as red it was very dry bumpy and scaly horrible. The attack lasted months and the skin was starting to look wrinkly!
I have this kind of lump on the inside of my elbow under my bicep. I'm only 13 and I don't know what it is, I don't know if its a growing pain but its been there for a while. If I fully extend my arm with my palm facing up and I move my finger around there will be a lump. But if I close my arm it will not be there. If anyone has expirenced this please let me know or help me figure out what this is. Thanks.
I had lymphedema while getting radiation following lumpectomy and removal of 25 axillary nodes (one positive) 13+ years ago. Cuts on my hand do not heal well unless I use medicated band-aids. A few months ago I had a all cut on my forefinger that I let heal naturally( but slowly); but continued to feel itchiness in my palm & finger after it appeared healed. About 2-3 months ago I got another tiny cut on the forefinger & also the skin on my thumb had a small crack.
Lipomas may present as doughy lumps beneath the skin. The lump may slip beneath your palm when you palpate them. They are not painful nor are they hard. They may occur in other parts of the body as well. This seems benign. If suspicious looking moles are present on the body and if the lumps appear to grow hard or becomes irregular in shape, then seek follow up consult with your doctor.
After about 5 days there was a pain in my right testicle and i felt a very small lump. The right side (from right shoulder to leg) of my body was in pain ( also felt heavy & numb). I did not feel or visibly see any lymph nodes but there was a heavy feeling on my right armpit. the general feeling in and around my right armpit is similar to lymph node pain. After about 3 weeks the lump disappeared.
Waited a week to see if resolved. Didn't. Went to PCP who felt under arm (looking for Lymphoma or lump) and did X-ray. Found nothing, but underarm did hurt when he poked on particular spot. I'm 45, 2 kids, hysterectomy, but no HRT, on Evista and Synthroid. Gave me Ketoprofen, but doesn't seem to help. More concerned about underarm pain than shoulder. Get an annual exam & mamo each year in March-all normal. Went to an orthopedic who scheduled MRI.
Two years ago, I noticed a small lump in the same spot. My doctor, a rheumatologist, and a neurologists examined it and classified it as a ganglion cyst. The lump would get smaller from time to time, but would never go away completely. In the last 6 months, the pain has intensified. Up until now, I only had x-rays of the wrist that showed nothing. Last week, I had an ultrasound that showed "a probable complicated ganglion cyst.
5 weeks ago, I lost my virginity when I had protected viginal sex with a CSW in bangkok (Thailand), however, I did perform oral sex on rim of her vigina for like 10 seconds and after that I fingered her, there was a small day old cut ( not bleeding, but not fully closed either) on the top of the palm of my hand right below the finger I used for fingering(I have long fingers). I don't know for sure if the cut reached her vagina or not. I have been really freaking out ever since.
