Lump under index finger

Common Questions and Answers about Lump under index finger

lump

I am 28 years old. I just found a lump in my right breast almost right under my nipple. It is about the size of the tip of my index finger. When I touch it it moves around and it is hard to the touch, a bit sensitive when I put pressure on it. I heard that lumpiness in breasts is common close to your monthly period, but I had my period over two weeks ago. Is this something I should worry about? Should I go to a doctor and have it checked out? Or is this just a silly concern?
Upon scratching as I always do, I noticed what I can only describe as a lump about an inch in circumference. When I make the peach sign with my index and middle finger and place it on the lump (Moving it around) it feels as though it moves freely and is soft or flexible like that of a large water blister. There is no increase in size of the nipple nor is the any nipple retraction, indentations or deformity whatsoever.
Just diagnosed with gastritis and Barrett esophagus, have arthritis of hands, knees, hips and back and degeneration in back, have that blister lump on index finger that Dr. Says is my joint blowing out and he wants to do surgery, feel like I hit 60 and started falling apart! I love life and want to live a long life. Any advice ?
I get a on n off buring sensation in the area that I have the lump. Left side right under my ribs. If I lean forward I feel the lump behind too more towards my back.I often get soreness there like I worked out my abs extremly. I had er visits. Xrays. St scans. Ultra sounds n they said nothing seems abnormal. When I strech to the right my left side feels tight like streching a rubber band. If I lay on my stomach I literally feel a buldge pressing onto whatever I'm laying on.
Hi zednanref--I had similar situation last year and have had the diagnosis of IBS for years now--that has been thought too be part of actual multiple neruological issues. I also had a pea sized knot in the left rib cage for about a year--that grow and stuck out of my side one morning getting ready too go too my dermatologist's offcie one morning.
In between my thumb and index finger i have a green veinish looking lump under my skin that's about 3cm in diameter. Ive had it for over 10 years and lately its been feeling bruised. I dont think its a blood clot because its not painfull and red. It almost looks like a huge vein. Im not sure weather to visit the doctors, because ive had it for so long. What could it be?? Ive googled it and cant seem to find anything similar. I hope someone can help me.
To make matters worse whenever I flex the previously injured finger in all the way the index finger begins to hurt. It also hurts more than usual if I bump something or knock on a door. Is there any type of joint injury that could explain this bump that is almost the size of a pea forming on the joint after the injury heals? Can I expect this bump to go away after a reasonable period of time? If not would a hand surgeon be able to remove the bump somehow?
I can feel it from the outside, and it is about the width of my index and middle finger when feeling it. It's swollen between the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the jawline. I am not sure if it's a thyroid gland or an infection or just a thing that'll go away. I do use qtips everyday to wipe the ear and dad always says I do go a bit furthur in than I should, so is it some kind of infection. And i do use earphones while sleeping so is it just a swelling caused by the ear phones.
When scalene muscle is the cause of pain, the pain is referred to chest, inner lining of scapula, shoulder, posterior and lateral sides of the arm right up to the thumb and index finger. When this muscle shortens, this can press on brachial plexus and the subclavian artery and can compress or irritate these structures and cause symptoms such as abnormal sensation, cold extremity, claudication, and lymphedema in the involved extremity.
Then, as that substance thickens and hardens over time it attaches itself to the tendon beneath, and it ends up drawing the fingers (usually the ring finger and/or the pinky finger) towards the palm side of the hand. The middle finger can also be affected, but not the index finger or thumb. The bending of the fingers is the "contracture" part of the disease. Sometimes, Dupuytren's does not progress to the contracture stage.
They have never tested his brother for neuroblastoma regardless of how much I have begged. He also has a hard little lump on his left hand in his palm where the index finger meets the palm. It moves a little, and seem to be about the same hardness as a hard cartlidge (not like the cartlidge in your ear, harder than that, but not quite bone). It's very worrisome to me to have these issues going on with my son when his twin brother has cancer, and no one will check him out!
I hate doctors, but it's getting to the point to where im about to say screw it and just go. It's a small lump under the skin, i can take my index fingure and middle fingure and move it. It's about the shape of a pea, maybe alittle bigger. I've googled it, and theres such thing as a absest? Im not insured and I really don't want to pay a furtune to go to the doctor...

i was using a hammer and chistle at work when the hamer struck the side of my index finger between the knuckle and joint. i didnt hit it that hard but after i did i felt this swell inside my finger that when i felt it it felt like something floating or moving inside under the skin. this happened a week ago and i dont feel any pain but this feeling something floating inside is still there. is this normal swelling from trauma that will go away or did i break or injure something?
for the past 3 week i have been experiencing pain in my left arm took a cholestorol test today an it read 214. i also have a lump under my left arm pit an it cause my hand to pain an impossible to use index finger. am i experienceing a heart attack an what may cause this.
I reached down to feel it and noticed that if I held it between my thumb and index finger, I could feel lumps under the skin. I can't see any white head or blister or anything on the surface. There are a bunch of them, and they are about half the size of a pea. It's not ingrown hairs because I have no hair there. I also am almost positive it's not an STD because my boyfriend and I stopped having sex awhile ago, and we were eachother's only partners we've ever had anyway.
When scalene muscle is the cause of pain, the pain is referred from neck to (either all or a combination of) chest, inner lining of scapula (shoulder bone), shoulder, posterior and lateral sides of the arm right up to the thumb and index finger.
My 6 month old daughter has the same type bump on the inside of her left hand, right on the index finger bone. It feels just like a BB. Is this the same thing?
In between my thumb and index finger i have a green veinish looking lump under my skin that's about 3cm in diameter. Its soft with a soft knot inside. Ive had it for over 10 years and lately its been feeling bruised. I dont think its a blood clot because its not painfull and red. It almost looks like a huge vein. Im not sure weather to visit the doctors, because ive had it for so long. But its worrying me. What could it be?? Ive googled it and cant seem to find anything similar.
Twenty years ago I had an enchrondoma on the base of the index finger. It was surgically removed and repaired with hip bone transplant. I have subsequently had a large basal cell carcinoma removed from my forehead (requiring 9 stitches). I now have an undiagnosed lump under my left foot which is seldom painful and another lump on the right of the lumbar spine which appears to cause severe backache at times. Are either of these above conditions likely to recur?
I felt around on my tongue by gently using my index finger on top and thumb on the bottom and discovered a small painful lump (small pea size). The pain is not present unless I apply pressure or move my tongue around or outside my mouth. I also have a dull pain and numbness combination in my right lower lip, which is bothersome. I have a follow up tomorrow, but I am curious to know if anyone else has had this experience as either an anesthetic side effect or intubation trauma (nerve injury).
Anyway, I was off work today anyway, so I kept putting a warm compress on it here and there, and that keeps the swelling under SOME control, but when I took a nap and woke back up, the eyelid was just as swollen as it was when I got up initially this morning, so obviously sleeping makes it more swollen/worse in general. There is no visible/distinct lump that I can see, but I'm starting to wonder if I have a stye under my eye...on my inner eyelid.
Again, I don't FEEL an obvious lump there, but when I rub my index finger over that part of my eyelid, it HURTS and when I rub my index on another part of my eyelid like toward my nose (the inside half), it does not hurt to the touch. what could this be and how do I get rid of it? I look stupid and have to teach middle school kids! Ahhh.

So like I'm laying down and I know when my baby is moving Cus my stomach shakes and I feel the kicks but right now I was laying down and decided to touch my stomach an press around it not to hard and I felt something Small but hard on the top of my stomach to the size of my index finger but just the tip? Is that normal? Is it The baby or something else? Btw im 29weeks and I'm a FTM so I'm always couriouse and worry when I don't know what's going on...
Almost feels as if my arm is broken. Also my right index finger has been numb from day one with no sign of recovery. I have absolutely no strength left in this arm. I can barely hold my arm up. Also, I cannot lie down in a bed. Just to painful... Of course, I have no insurance and cannot afford to go to a specialist. All the while, I have still been working and yes my job consists of having to sometimes pickup extremely heavy product.
I've never actually measured it, but if I had to guess I'd say it's about the size of the tip of my index finger. I have had doctors look at it and they usually tell me it's not big enough to cause any real concern and that if it grows bigger to come back. Blood tests have all come back normal and I've had countless ones. As far as my overall health goes, I feel fine. I run 5 miles at least 4 times a week, I lift weights, I'm active, and I have a pretty normal appetite.
I can put my thumb and index finger around the bump and feel its firmness, although smaller than 11 days ago. While I can't really tell if it's above or below the skin, I can see that the skin at this site is a little red, glossy, and peeled. There doesn't appear to be any liquid, oozing, or blood. It doesn't look like an open sore. 1. Does this lump seem like syphilis? 2. Does the timeline seem to be indicative of syphilis? 3. Would the syphilis chancre be different than what I've described?
