I recently noticed that when I put my chin to my chest, I could feel a lump or something on the left side of under my jawbone. I felt around, and I can't really feel anything unusual when my head is upright. Or rather, I can feel something smooth there, but I think I always had it on both sides. But when I tilt my head forwards and poke my fingers underneath my jawbone I can feel a small lump that I can "move" to the chin side of my jawbone quite easily.
Then a instant sudden lump started forming under my chin on my neck throat area. It felt like a tumor but would think tumor just doesn't pop up like that. The lump went down about 15 min after it formed. It hurt under my back tongue to open my mouth but that went down as well. What could this be.? Extremely weird that the lump formed then went away. What you think the sudden lump that formed is? Not cancer i hope. Is it something serious you think?
Hi Ive just joined and I know I'm probably posting on the wrong part, but just curious, I've always had a wee small lump under my chin it's always been there as far as I know anyway. Until around New Years Eve night my lip piercing was accidentally hit which left my lip very sore and swollen next morning I notice that the lump under my chin had gotten bigger.
I'm 22 years old and I've recently noticed a lump that is about 1 cm in diameter under my chin, back towards the neck. It seems to be round. I first noticed it because my neck felt tender and the ear on that same side ached slightly. You can't notice it by looking. To feel the lump you have to push up under the chin near the neck, and then it pops out. I'm able to move the lump to my jawline. It's very, very mobile.
The primary lump can be sign of stone formed in salivary gland that plugged the duct; this will not cause high ESR blood test reading. Ask for referal to ENT, he may recommend do ultrasound of the neck, MRI or CT scan.The same imaging procedure will pickup the abnormal lymph nodes if any.
A few days ago, I went to rest my chin on my hand, and I noticed a vague bruise-like pain just under my chin. When I touched just under my chin, seemingly attached to the right side of the chin bone, just to the right of that center line where the two sides of the lower jaw meet, I felt a very hard, immobile bump.

Sorry to hear your dog is not well. Especially due to the age, you don't mention her breed, these may be signs that something isn't right. Without seeing it, the lump may be a swollen lymph gland, beginning of an infection, etc.
I suggest you take her to the Vet for an exam, blood work and a dental exam. If she has not been in fir a while, I suggest you take in a fresh stool sample, if you can get one, to be checked.
i have a pea size lump under my chin its been nearly over a year.. iv been for an ultrasound and the doctor said i am very lean thats why i can feel them . am fit and healthy age 20 the submental lymp node hasnt grown its stays the same size. but iv got one in my armpit and both each side of my groin.. could it been anything serious help please?
I'm a 16 year old male, and i've had a lump under my armpit for about a month now, and i was wondering if anyone could give me any insight as to what it is.
It isn't very big, it doesn't hurt, although it can get a bit tender if i mess with it, it's pretty hard, and seems to be under the skin. I read somewhere that using an antiperspirant can cause bumps like this, and i use Mitchum Unscented roll on. Does anyone know if this has any type of connection?
Thank you for writing back. The gland is under his chin and I don't know if that would be tonsils or not. I know when he lays down that the temporal artery (?) that is what the dr. called it, throbs and the gland swells and hurts. He does snore but has for 15 years now. When the pain wakes him at night he gets up and walks around a while until the pain lessens. A heating pad helps also. I don't know what kind of dr. to get him into but we are seeing his general physician Tues.
I have an extra milk gland under my arm. I knew it was a milk gland because when my milk was full, the milk gland was large and when it was empty it was smaller. If it doesn't seem to fill with milk it may not be a milk gland.
I actually have a pump under where the milk gland was.(The milk gland has been long since empty now that I don't breastfeed) Still no answers for me. I hope you can find answers soon. Best of luck.
