What could be the cause of a lump in the lower left pelvis area? I also have pain in this area, this lump seems to feel like it moves around a little bit. It is not an ovarian cyst as I had an ultrasound done and left ovary appears normal. I was diagnosed with endometriosis last year (2007) and gyn said that it might be GI related. Have appt in July for colonoscopy to look at my colon. Could it be a swollen lymph node/gland?
Hello. I'm 20 years old and I have a lump on my pelvis/ovary area. it's by the bikini line. I saw it for the first time about 2 months ago, after having a severe pain in my pelvis/ovaries. It was so bad I had to lay down and then I had nausea. But I don't know if that was the fear I had. I went to the gyno and she sent me to have an ultrasound (not the transvaginal one because I'm a virgin) and a normal blood test. The blood tests where perfect, she said.
Hi. I'm going to try explaining the ultrasound findings per item as follows: 1. "endometrial thickness 8mm..." Endometrial thickness refers to the thickness of the mucosal lining of the uterus. The normal thickness varies depending on what phase of the mentrual cycle the woman is in. The lining is virtually absent during menstruation (day 1-4), and thickens to an average of 14-16 mm during the secretory phase (day 15-28) of the cycle. A thickness of 8mm is probably normal. 2.
I also feel the pain on the left side of the pelvis (around the illiac crest area)and into the left groin. The pain in the abdomen is often worse after eating but not every time I eat. There is a localised small lump in the groin that is very sore to touch - im not sure if this is a lymph node? I have had blood tests and a stool sample but these were both clear. The urine test I had showed white blood cells and I am currently waiting results of a left hip x-ray.
Lymph nodes filter bacteria and viruses in response to illness. It is normal to have a lymph node swell when fighting a cold. The fact that it protrudes when you cough doesn't indicate anything abnormal. Your abdomen and stomach muscles contract as you cough which would make it more noticable. If it continues to enlarge, or doesn't go away after about 2 weeks after your cold goes away, it wouldn't hurt to have it checked by your doctor.
Last Monday, I noticed a small bump on the right side of my pelvis, like where my panty line should be. It was tender to the touch but the tenderness went away. There is also some weird kind of bite on my right hip, so I think the two might be correlated. Friday, I got a mild fever and found out that the lump was a swollen lymph node. The doctor prescribed me some anti biotic for a yeast infection, even though I KNEW I didn't/don't have a yeast infection. I have none of the symptoms.
I have a painful red bump on my pelvis, near where the skin becomes the scrotom. It's definitely not a pimple, because they are never this painful or hard. I felt it below the skin before it was really red and noticeable. Is this a boil (hopefully), and what should I do? (I'm trying not to do anything, cause I don't wanna mess with that area.
I'm 34 years old. For maybe a month or so I've had pain in my lower left pelvis. It's not excrutiating; it kind of comes and goes in intensity, but it hasn't interfered with my normal functioning. It's always sort of there though. It stopped during my period last week but came back right after. I'm scared out of my mind. I have a dr appt on Monday.

I can understand your concern for the bladder lump. The few causes of such a lump in bladder are schistosomiasis, interstitial cystitis, chronic cystitis, tuberculosis and of course bladder cancer. Interstitial cystitis is very common in young women and may present with Pain in your pelvis (suprapubic) or between the vagina and anus or persistent, urgent need to urinate. You have got the biopsy done but have you got the results?
i have recently discovered a lump in my abdomen. it is about the size of my fist and seems to have appeared over the last week. it is under the skin, very firm and i can move it, but it does not hurt. it is about in line with my hip and to the left of my tummy button. i am worried as to what this could be and was wondering if you could help. i have recently taken up excercise and was wondering if it could be muscle or something more serious. i do not have it anywhere else.

I had chemotherapy, radiotherapy and I am now on Tamoxifen. I had my restaging CT of chest, abdomen and pelvis which were normal 2 weeks ago. Today I found a tiny pea size lump just above the scar from my lumpectomy, should I be concerned?
You said the lump was on one side. An obvious possibility for a one-sided lump would be infection of one of the two Bartholin's glands. Google it, note the location, and see if that might be what you have.
i can't see it, since it's along the bone behind my ear, so my fiance had a look at it and says it's red and looks infected. i also have a lump on the left side of my pelvis, which is also red and sore and my fiance says its starting to go purple. i've been having a lot of pain down my left leg (down the middle of my thigh to my knee), and i'm not sure if it's from the lump or if it's something separate.
Hi. I am a 49 y/o female. Several weeks ago I noticed a soft movable lump in my right groin area. I have a history of a right inguinal hernia which was repaired appx. 27 years ago. My physician thought it not to be a recurring hernia but rather a enlarged lymph node and placed me on antibiotics and ordered a Ultrasound of the right groin. The ultrasound suggested it to be a complex cyst.
the morning after having sex my penis was swollen in the base and turned black and blue and i noticed a lump abovethe shaft at my pelvis.
I have a lymph-node-like lump underneath my pubic hair on my left side. (29 yr-old male) I'm concerned because it's located so close to the testicles (basically right above the muscle that links from the testicles to the the upper thigh) I've lived with it for about a year without much pain.. But lately I've been feeling it more. Is this serious and what can I do about it?
