I have noticed 1 lump on my neck (not the same one as before). the lump is at the back of my neck, up by the top to the left. The lump is small, pea size, it's sort of hard, it doesn't seem to move that much when pressed, it doesn't hurt that much when I press it down, but I'm sure it did burn a little when I did it not long ago. I am 17, male... Can someone help me out a little ? thanks..
i have a lump on my neck and i had a ultrasound done and they said it is a nodule on my thyroid..apparently it is lol..when they did the ultrasound they wanted to check the blood supply..the right side was red, so it looked like i had good blood supply but on the left where i have the walnut sized lump the scan was blue...
I had a severe head cold 2 weeks ago, one night I noticed a lump on my neck, right a the base of the neck on, beginning of the spine. It does not hurt me. It's a soft mass, however at times it feels as if it burns inside of me. Not a pinching feeling but a burn sensation. When I get aggervated it seems to flare. Question #1 what type of doctor do I see for this? Question #2 : Is this something of much concern? Thank you.

I'm not really athletic, but lately we've been doing gymnasitics in Physical Education. On Friday, I noticed a small, fingernail sized lump on the right side of my neck, under the end of my jawline. I don't know, but I think it has grown a tiny bit in size. When I pass over it, I feel it is there. When I gently press it, it hurts. It feels like a musle - when i press the skin, it doesn't hurt, but there's something under that feels like muscle that hurts.
hi I noticed i had a small lump on the right side of my neck, kind of where the should meets the neck about 3 inches below my right ear, I noticed this about a year ago. The lump was painless and never grew so I never worried about it. This morning I noticed that the lump had become larger and was painful. I am not sure if this is normal or what this is.
It is not severe acne but it was starting to break out on my neck, which has never happened before. I have been on the Minocycline and washing with Lever 2000 for about 5 weeks, little improvement. Yesterday I started developing a large lump (pencil eraser size) in the middle of the front part of my neck. It is very sore and was wondering if this was just acne and what I could do to stop the pain and redness/swelling? Thanks so much~ KARA.
just a few short weeks ago, i went to the doctor to have a lump on the side of my neck checked out, and he said it was swollen lymphnodes. he said that it should go down in a few weeks, and it hasn't yet, i read that sometimes it can take longer. The lump doesn't hurt, and it hasn't changed in size at all. I also noticed that i have had blood in my stool. It's very inconsistent, in fact it has been about two weeks since i have noticed any, it's almost like it comes and goes.
Three weeks now my mother has skin alergy (hands, chests, head), doctor diagnozed to be caused by a nervous stress, maybe psoriasis,(on her elbows, there are some signs of it) and gave antihistaminics. But I am worried about the fact that 2 days ago 2 lumps appeard on her left side of the neck, behind her ear (size bean) and one lower (2cm) (they are not soft). Can these two symptoms be connected?
I have a 2 1/2 year old son, and recently I discovered a lump on his neck. It's located right between his collarbone and ear. It's not a hard lump, but soft to the touch. (For example, the way it feels when you press on a vein on your hand.) It's about the size of a dime, and he flinches when I touch it. Otherwise, he doesn't seem to notice it, and he's acting normal. I'm going to try to get a doctor appointment tomorrow. I have a nurse friend, and she looked at it.
I have a little lump on the sid eof my neck, like about the size of a quarter. I wouldn't really have noticed it, except it hurts, like it feels really sore and when I rub it I canm feel a little ball. I've had a sore throught for like a month, and it's starting to feel worse. Also my throught has been mucusy (if that's a word lol). So, I don't know if it's normal and will just go away soon, or if something is wrong. So help on any idea of what could be wrong, if anything?
I went to the doctor who just told me it is most likely viral and if I didnt feel any better in a couple of weeks to come back. I feel better than I was but I still have this lump on my neck. From looking on the net it looks to be posterior cervical lymph node. Its only about 2cm. It doesnt hurt at all. Its been a month since its been there. Would it be worth going back to the doctor to check it out or does it just take a while for it to go down?
I noticed last I have a lump on the right side of my neck. I discovered it in the middle of the night, though it was not bothering me thoughout the day that I noticed. It is as I said on the right side (my right) about an inch above half way down. It is around 3/4-1" in size and I can move it around independently. My husbands insurance doesn't start for a few weeks is this something I should be concerned about?
My eight year old daughter has a lump on her neck. It became enlarged about two months ago after strep throat. At first, doctors said that it was an enlarge lymph node due to the infection. Well it seemed to subside a bit in size with antibiotics prescribed. A month later it returned, a CT scan revealed it to be an abscess. ENT specialist recomended to have it surgically drained. After weeks of the lump still being there, my anxiety grew not knowing what this could be.
I'm 23, and I just discovered a small lump on my neck below my ear, behind my jaw. It's only on the left side, and it's very hard. At the end of October, I went to the health center at my law school for an on and off fever, weight loss, and other miscellaneous symptoms. They did the mono blood test and I was positive. I seemed to get through it pretty easily, though my throat was miserable for 2 weeks or so and I was exhausted for those two weeks as well.
my dog has a lump on the side of her neck...not in the middle--more under her cheek. she is a boston terrier and is overweight and has a couple of soft fatty tumors on her body but this lump on her neck is new. I just noticed it today and its abt the size of a golfball, soft and she doesn't cry when i squeeze it gently. what could this be? It doesn't seem to have a head like an abscess would.
So i have 4 lumps in my groin (2 on each side), one under each arm, and 4 on my neck (2 on each side). Also 2 under my chin. I really hope they find out what this is.
My 13 y.o doberman, has a growing lump on his neck, his liver enzymes were elevated. Could this be a lipomsw, or lymphoma?
Hi im a 27 yr old female, and i have a lump on both sides of my neck, under the ears and behind the jaw. they are painless and quite hard. i think they have been there for a very long time but think they have got bigger, the one on the left seems bigger than the right. i can only feel them, they are not so big you can see them and i can feel them much better when looking the other way so my neck is stretched. no other symptoms. im a smoker.
I have a firmed hard lump in the back of my neck behind the ear under the skull bone. I can feel that it is starting to affect my left ear. The doctors thought it was a sweelling gland but is not. The lump is very firm. What could possibly be? One of the doctor's think is a bone grown.
About 5 days ago I noticed a small bean shaped lump on the side of my neck (not between the jagular and sternocelidomastoid muslce), but rather on the sternocleidomastoid muscle itself (I think). I consider myself a bit of a hypochondriac so naturally internet search will reveal the worst. All it takes is 1 negative to throw me off balance completely. I went to my GP and he said I might have lymphedema and sent me off to do a ultrasound of the neck followed by FNA.
hi all i have a lump at the top of my neck just below my jaw on the left it is not too big and does not hurt. i have had it for as long as i can remember (more than 5 years). It does not hurt and just a little bit uncomfortable. It also moves a little bit. Is it a cyst or what or it it cancer ?
You must bring Nugent in to the vet ASAP and have Fine Needle Aspirates or biopsies performed on the enlarged neck (sub-mandibular) lymph nodes, they could be enlarged due to inflammation or infection or lymphoma or other cancer. I hope it is nothing serious!
