Avatar f tn Hi all-- I am a healthy 28 year old woman and has just discovered a lump near my Adam's apple. I went to a quick care and the dr said it looks like its thyroid related but obviously cannot diagnose me without an ultrasound. First of all, I am terrified its cancer cause its on just one side and doesn't hurt. Also I have been feeling like my collarbone, neck and shoulder on that side have been stiff. Is this related? Please help..
Avatar f tn My brother is 45 yrs old and a couple of months ago, found a lum on the back of his head, near his ear. Recently he noticed another painful lump, slightly larger than a marble, below his left collarbone. He also has left shoulder pain. When he presses the lump, not only does he have pain but he feels as if his arm gets numb and with pins and needles. There is a pressure in his chest when he takes deep breaths. Aside from all of the above, he has severe left ankle/leg pain.
Avatar f tn For the last few months (could have been longer) I have the soft rubbery lump on my collarbone, the only time it changes in size or hurts is when I touch it all day while im having my Panic moments. But after leaving it alone for a few days it goes back to its regular size of about a marble. I'm seeing my obgyn next week, But I'm freaking out just thinking about asking her about it. I'm a 28 year old female that smokes, and I have endometriosis.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever had a swollen node by there collarbone...but ofcourse ended up to be ok and not cancer :-/ as doing research I see that a lump in this area has got to be the worsed :( which is what I've got.
Avatar f tn So about 9 months ago i visited the GP about my persistent tiredness and being run down. Blood tests were taken and came back normal. I visited last week due to a hard pea moveable lump just above my collarbone. One doctor seemed concerned, the other said it was normal. They asked about night sweats and itching, me being me said occasionally but nothing consistent. Actually, i have a patch on my back which becomes really itchy, especially in the shower and i wake up sweating every morning.
Avatar n tn Got up the wrong way one morning, and twisted my left shoulder. Developed a lump on the collarbone after this happened. Went for x-rays, and was told it was spasmodic torticollis, calcification on tendon, Arthritis, Tendonitis. The pain is horrible, and its all in the left shoulder as the lump is located right in the same place. They did not see a dislocation, but the lump seems to be like something is dislocated. Nobody has answers.
Avatar f tn I have a weird lump that i noticed this morning just above my collarbone, does anyone know what this might be??
Avatar n tn i have a swelling on the left side of my neck just above my collarbone. It seems to get bigger during the day, as when i wake it is not there really. It is painless. I take thyroxine 75mg as i have been diagnosed with underative thyroid. Is this lump due to this? i thought a goitre would be central on the neck?
Avatar m tn I have a 15 year old that has a painless lump on his chest midway between his right nipple and collarbone. The lump has been getting larger. At the present time it is just a noticable swelling about the size of a half dollar. There are no other symptoms and he is an active child. What could it be and what kind of physician should he see?
Avatar f tn Found nickel sized lump late dec. Just below collarbone on right now it's golf ball sized and also have lump on lt elbow and left foot nickel sized. Hard and they don't move. Have had a lot if aches all down my left arm and kind of shooting pains through the breast. Some lowgrade fevers and night sweats- soaking.
Avatar n tn However i was poking around and right where the front right of my neck connects with my collarbone, there seems to be a small lump that feels a little firmer and jiggly. Around 3 days ago i felt a little bump the right side of my windpipe that is a little painful if pushed. My neck also feels a little stiff. I was just wondering what a lymph node in the collarbone should feel or look like to be considered enlarged and/or a sign of cancer. Please help me i'm really freaking out.
Avatar f tn Hi! I'm a 28 year old female. I've been having problems with my right collarbone, arm and shoulder for over a year now. Last October, I noticed that my collarbone got enlarged at the place where it meets the sternum. The very place didn't hurt, but i felt pain in my arm, neck and shoulder. I felt some tension in my whole right side of the body. I've been going from one doctor to another...One said it was Cervical Spondylosis, the other Arthrosis....

Avatar n tn No relief what so ever, but my concern is that my collarbone feels swollen with a lump like feeling at the end of it. The lump just showed up in the midst of all this pain, and I am concerned.
Avatar f tn Hi, my mom was diagnosed with IDC Stage 3 ER/PR+ HER2/Neu negative and on the ultrasound it did not look like the cancer has spread to the lymth nodes, she was diagnosed on February 1st. But she found the lump December 20th and the surgery is not schedualed till March 2nd im just getting very worried that they are taking a long time for the surgery and that the cancer will spread. Is it normal for surgery to be that far away??
Avatar f tn i have experienced just plain feeling awful the past couple of weeks, and now a large swollen lump in the right side chest just below medial collarbone. my question is, is it normal for chest nodes to swell, and if so when? i also have what i think might be thrush. i havent been to dr. yet. thanks for any input.
Avatar n tn I am having that removed in December, because it is not cosmetically appealing and it causes a lot of pain and discomfort. Around the same time I noticed in the shower a pea sized node on top of my shoulder near my collarbone, and that the proximal head of the humerus is rather large. I had it checked by a doctor who told me it was just my bone (it's not, the lump is just really hard) and I forgot about it.
744962 tn?1270942038 Have a slight cough and noticed a hard lump on my collarbone. It does not hurt when touched at all. I also find that my glands behind my ears hurt and have a ringing tingling sound in my ears and on the thyroid. Does someone else experience the same - how long will it take for my levels to become normal?
Avatar f tn The doctor put me on birth control and I am still taking them. On October 2008, I had a small lump in my left breast and it was painful to touch. I had an ultrasound done but they could not see it with ultrasound; however, they could feel it with touch. So, they informed me that my breast is normal and it could be from drinking a lot of caffeine. Now, another small lump is felt next to it and the whole breast is painful. Each mass is about 1 cm.

Avatar f tn I have a dull pain with heat from my breast chest and back of my shoulder straight across from my breast to back. It gets worst and then it gets better. Above my collarbone is very sensitive. When I massage it the dull uncomfortable pain gets better. I also have a lump on my neck that connects to the spot above the collarbone. I have gone to the Dr.s but she said I have fibrosis. Something about muscles. Can anyone help... Please I dont know what to do...
Avatar n tn my daughter did that when she was young never said anything.. she developed a lump on her collarbone and I took her in and too it was not painful.. they xrayed it and it was new bone growing where the fracture was. so hmmmm maybe this is your case. I wish you good luck!!!!!
Avatar n tn i have recently had sharp pain in the center of my neck in the front, kinda where your throat would lump up if you were going to cry. i am suspicious it may have something to do with my thyroid. it is very uncomfortable and i can certainly wait it out for another week or so to see if the pain will go away. it is not a constant pain, however, when i feel the pain, it radiates. Does it sound like the thyroid or something else?
Avatar f tn I just noticed this evening ( while I was getting her ready for bed ) something on my 2 1/2-year-old daughter's chest. Just below her collarbone, there is a lump about 3 inches in diameter. (It might be right in front of the Manubrium.) it is fairly firm.
Avatar f tn Swollen lymph nodes may also be present under the arm, near the collarbone or in both places.Inflammatory breast cancer can be difficult to diagnose, because it may be mistaken for those of mastitis, which is an infection of the breast. The clue is that it usually gets no better when it's thought to be an infection and is treated with antibiotics. Testing for IBC will most likely entail an excisional biopsy.
Avatar n tn In Jan. 2007 I found a lump on my right breast which disappeared within 2 weeks. From that time I have had pain. I don't know if the lump was just a coincedence. The pain started coming off and on and then pretty much constant. There is no pain at all by touch. The point of pain seems to come from behind my right breast and sometimes the pain is so great it radiates up into my collarbone and down my right arm. It doesn't feel like a pulled muscle, it is hard to describe.
