I have a pea-size lump about 2 inches above my collarbone and to the right of center on my neck. It is wedged between 2 muscles, and it is very movable. I had it checked by my GP, who told me that in her opinion it was most likely a little cyst, and not to worry about it unless it grew in size.
The following day while entering the shower, I was feeling the structure of my clavicle as it was where it hurt most, specifically near the chest bone. While it was in perfect shape, a lump suddenly appeared as I felt the area vigourously (there was no lump prior to that). To me, it seemed obvious that my collar bone had detached from my chest bone, and thus dislocated. The following day I was the first doctor who said my collar bone was "slightly" dislocated from my chest bone.

Hi all-- I am a healthy 28 year old woman and has just discovered a lump near my Adam's apple. I went to a quick care and the dr said it looks like its thyroid related but obviously cannot diagnose me without an ultrasound. First of all, I am terrified its cancer cause its on just one side and doesn't hurt. Also I have been feeling like my collarbone, neck and shoulder on that side have been stiff. Is this related? Please help..

Hi, i'm 21 years old and I've recently discovered a lump on my left breast bone. It hurts a little when I press on it, and the pain sometimes radiates to my collarbone and shoulders. The pain comes and goes really, and does not disturb my daily activities. Could I be suffering from costochondritis? I remember a couple weeks ago hearing a popping sound near my ribcage when lifting boxes, so maybe that is what is causing the pain?
In addition to this, I found a small lump in my neck (pea size, maybe smaller), around 2-3 inches above my collarbone, near the centre of the neck, but slightly to the left. The lump appears to only be attached to the skin above it, as I can pinch the skin around it and move it around freely. After doing quite a bit of research on the internet, I have left myself very worried about potential conditions I could possibly have, including cancers such as thyroid cancer and lymphoma.
I have had a lump in my neck for 7 years. I have buried my head about it till now afraid of what it may be. The lump is non painfull and about the size of a marble. It is slightly visible and protrudes maybe a tenth of an inch from neck. it has grown very slightly in the seven years. The lump is hard and mobile under skin. it feels like its attached to the skin underneath. the skin over it is normal colored. it is located directly in the middle front of neck just beneath my adams apple.

I have a swollen area (Lump) on the left side of my neck - near the collarbone in line with the ear. It is painful. I just noticed it recently I didn't have it the morning but did wake with a sore throat. I'm not sure if it is thyroid related. Should I see a doctor? I'm not worried that it is anything serious. If I'm just getting a cold I can treat myself.

I'd do a biopsy of the red skin, and/or of the lump near the collarbone. Or, at minimum, a second opinion from another breast surgeon.
Since then I have had lump after lump after lump coming up. They extend down from my collar bone to my breast. It's mostly on my rigth side but i feel some on my left as. Some are soft like this, some are more firm and knotted like a rope but moveable. They are tender to touch (or are now because I've been poking at them so much). Some are tender and some aren't. I went to the dr and am now waiting on an ultrasound appointment but meanwhile I am scared to death.
As Katarina advised, you definitely shopuld be checked out, but in my view, more in regard to the "small swellings" near your collarbone and neck, the hard groin lump, and the sores on you chest, shoulders, back and arms! Best wishes...

Hello everyone! I'm 26 years old and last week found a small, hard, round lump in my breast. It's about pea sized, maybe a tiny bit bigger. It's quite firm, and very near the skin, about an inch above my nipple (I have very large breasts). My breasts are typically quite lumpy but this one seems different. I am very in tune to my body, and noticed this lump easily, and don't think it's been there very long.
Hi, my mom was diagnosed with IDC Stage 3 ER/PR+ HER2/Neu negative and on the ultrasound it did not look like the cancer has spread to the lymth nodes, she was diagnosed on February 1st. But she found the lump December 20th and the surgery is not schedualed till March 2nd im just getting very worried that they are taking a long time for the surgery and that the cancer will spread. Is it normal for surgery to be that far away??

Lymph nodes often swell in one location when a problem such as an injury, infection, or tumor develops in or near the lymph node. Which lymph nodes are swollen can help identify the problem. The glands on either side of the neck, under the jaw, or behind the ears commonly swell when you have a cold or sore throat. Glands can also swell following an injury, such as a cut or bite, near the gland or when a tumor or infection occurs in the mouth, head, or neck.
My cousin went in today to have a biopsy done on a lump they found near her collarbone and after doing the biopsy (she had 2 suspiciou spots they found on the CT-scan) they told her that it is definatley cancer. It will take 4 or 5 more day to find out if it is Hodgskins or Non-hodgskins Lymphoma. They think it is rapid growing and they are going to treat her with chemo. My grandma told me that it does not look good at all. Please pray for her.

Swollen lymph nodes may also be present under the arm, near the collarbone or in both places.Inflammatory breast cancer can be difficult to diagnose, because it may be mistaken for those of mastitis, which is an infection of the breast. The clue is that it usually gets no better when it's thought to be an infection and is treated with antibiotics. Some background… Approximately a month ago, I noticed a defined, round, movable lump above my left collarbone near my neck, around ¾ to 1” in diameter. I could not find any other lumps or swollen lymph nodes. I also was experiencing a cough that had lingered for about 1 ½ months. (I have experienced this cough in the late summer months for at least the last 6 years and it always goes away.) I went to my family doctor who sent me for a CT scan of the chest with contrast.
