Avatar f tn I was born with a small lump toward the lower end of my neck in the front. it doesnt cause me any pain but i am constantly asked if it is related to thyroid or fibromitosis. Both of these terms scare me, i guess my question is that over the last two years its almost tripled in size. I am starting to worry. I have no insurance and am low income. Does anyone have an idea what this could be? concerned and confused.....

I just found a lump in my neck which had been diagnosed as Breast Cancer recourrance. I still have one ovary which is still functioning. Avatar n tn MY doctor ran an antibodies test and it was really high my TSH was normal but I was developing a goiter in my neck. The reason I tell you this is you might be having the headaches due to your thryoid. Since I have been on medication for my thyroid my headaches are subsiding. It was like as soon as I started the medicine the headaches went away. You should't be scared to have the lump looked at. With the thyroid you can develop nodules most of the time they are not cancerous.

Avatar n tn I recently noticed a swollen lump in the right side of my neck about 2 inches below my ear. Saw a doctor, she said it was probably due to some infection...gave me antibiotics and said take these and see if it goes away. I have no symptoms of any infection. It's been 2 weeks and the lump is still there. I only have two other issues...one I salivate A LOT. 2...I am having a terrible problem with facial flushing. Any ideas on what it could be?

Avatar m tn Your sinuses are all interconnected with your ears and throat, and so that may be the cause of the lump in your throat and plugged ears. However, this doesn't explain your frequent night sweats. Have you had any blood work done?

Avatar f tn I'm a 16 year old female. I have what feels to be a 3 in. lump under the muscle of the right side of my neck that's been present for 2 years. It's in the middle of the side of my neck and slowly growing to the front of my neck. Doctors did an ultrasound plus blood work and saw nothing abnormal and said it's just me growing. There's no pain but it's uncomfortable and causes pressure on the inside my neck. Do you think it is from growing or something else?

Avatar n tn I have had a painless lump in my neck for several years. It is on the left side in the same area where my lymph nodes typically swell up when I have a cold. It is behind the upper part of my jaw, below my ear. It is hard, painless (unless I press it rather hard), immovable and about an inch in size. I have had two doctors who have been aware of it, but dismissed it. The first one put me on antibiotics to make it go down, but they did not do anything.
Avatar f tn hi im 41yr old female. i found a lump 3 weeks ago in my armpit it doesnt hurt, been to the doctors who has refered me to hospital for test as she doesnt know if its cancer or not just by feeing it. i go next wednesday. iv convinced myself that it is bad news, iv got no lumps anywhere else, doctor checked my breasts, im worried to death. my neck and shoulders are aching aswell but hopefully i think thats just tension and stress from worrying, iv got no history of breast cancer in the family.
Avatar m tn If the report says the lump is on the left, it sounds like the technician made a mistake when she said the lump was on the right. If there were 2 lumps, it would say that on the report. This is why the technicians are NOT supposed to tell patients what they see during a scan - because they aren't radiologists and what they tell you may not be accurate. I've had technicians tell me all kinds of things that did not come back on reports.
Avatar m tn I am worried about a lump which I have noticed on the back of my neck. It is right in the centre of the back neck and ends about 1/2cm before my hairline. It is more noticable when I lean my head forward or lay down. I cannot notice it if my neck is in a normal, standing position. The lump is slightly closer to my head than my back. It is solid, it almost feels like bone. It does hurt slightly when I poke at it.
