Lump in vein on foot

Common Questions and Answers about Lump in vein on foot

Hello, I wrote in a question recently about a hard pea sized lump on top of my foot. I appreciate the answers I received and now I have another one. The lump is hard like bone and is not painful. It is located on the outside edge between my little toe and ankle. It may have been there awhile and I have just noticed it or it could be a new occurance. I went to my family physician today and he ordered an x-ray. The lump also does not move. The x-ray did not show anything.
Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me, I have had a lump in my lower left leg for 2 years now every now and then it swells up and gives me pain its in the left leg and its about 3 inches above the ankle in a straight line it gets really painful gives me pain in the the bottom of the foot and in the ankle and also this might sound strange but it sometimes feels as if someone is dripping cold water down my leg, does anyone know what this could be. Thank you very much.
So in closing if you get a second opinion and that you only have a bone issue and nothing else going on it would suggest you push to be put back into a cast it made my life easier as crazy as that sounds. in the cam I was also experiencing numbness in the bottom of my foot and in the last 2 toes on my foot. in the cast all is well except for the swelling which is still extensive at times. My injury ws on 6-15-07.
I've had a blood clot on the top of my foot for the last 3 months. I have unsuccessfully treated it with 325mg of aspirin, ibuprofen/naproxen, heat, elevation, and wrapping it. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? If so, did it resolve itself? How concerned should I be about the occasional thigh/calf tightness? Should I be very concerned that that clot remains after so long? I have come very close to cutting the length of the vein (approximately 1/4").
While massage my left skull, I have noticed the lump located exactly on the left-side on the bone above my left-ear, as I pressed on it, the area seemed to trigger a point that made my migrane even painful, then noticed that it travels to my left eye and beleive it or not even my left sinus area. Ready to call the hospital for an appointment... Any suggestions on what to do in the meantime or anyone would know what this could be?
I have a huge cyst on my inner right thigh that is the size of a ping-pong ball. It is a soft lump on top of a hard lump and is soooooo painful that it is hard to walk. Currently, the area is red, with the top part purple. It is enlongated and rubs my other thigh when I walk. So far, I have been soaking in an Espon salt bath and/or holding a hot part water, part epsome salt compress to it. It is very painful.
something like that I thought. Then I can feel a lump in the painful spot in upper thigh. Went to my GP and an off hours on call GP before hand. one said swollen lymph node maybe due to flu or maybe muscular probs. My GP set up ultra sound and blood test but doesn't think it's that bad. Previous health problems, warts on my bum. My dad had warts on his bottom and ended up with cancer (lymphoma) swollen lymph nodes everywhere. I now have an achey feeling in my testicles. I'm 19 years old.
I had on back in March '10 and TN starting in Aug.'10. RRMS was diagnosed on 11/12/10, If you can get into a Neuro-ophthamologist that is your best bet. They may order a VEP since it is very sensitive to early on. My last MRI (along with showing new lesions) showed a "...slight decreased caliber of the left optic tract and right optic nerve..." My TN has two types of pain. There is the ache like a toothache from above my ear across half of my upper teeth.
I looked down and it had a swollen quarter sized lump on my knee cap (picture attached). It was warm to touch and it hurt to bend my knee too much. I thought it could have been an allergic reaction, but neighbor thought it was a blood vessel/vein that might have ruptured/popped (don’t know what the proper terminology is). The next day the whole knee cap area was bruised (lump had gone down). This happened Friday afternoon and I still have bruise today (Tuesday morning).
on August 26, 2003, my surgeon expected to remove a benign breast lump, but found a 5 cm malignant tumor in my right breast. The tumor & 8 lymph nodes were removed. 1 lumph node was malignant. The pathologist report showed very narrow margins, very aggressive (Bloom Richardson 9/9, ER negative, PR negative, Her2/Neu overexpression 0. The PET SCan showed no evidence of disease elsewhere. Two weeks after surgery, I started 4 cycles of Adriamycin and Cytoxan administered every other week.
) Since then, I had an US in Feb on the right breast for 4 cysts (no follow up needed at this time) and a mammo on the left side in May for a new lump (cyst). Now in July, had my yearly mammo for which I got the call back for spot compression. I go in on the 10th. I'm doing fine mentally...just wish I didn't continue needing screenings. in march I also had a biopsy of the lining of my uterus (benign). I have conflicting feelings about screening...
I have had it for months on and of. I have a lump constanly in the crease of my finger. If I go climbing or carry shopping bags its really painful. So I try to be careful not to put pressure on it to stop the "pop" which is even more excrutiating. Hope someone out there can help.
I had surgery just over 2 weeks ago and the best thing ever. The lump used to hurt especialy at night in bed when I would sleep on my side. It also looked ugly and like another boob. My surgeon did an excellent job with the scar so far it looks okay. I would say if it hurts and you are concious about it have it removed. My sister also had both armpits done.
I am going to go back about the tingling face thing because its bugging me so much and i also have it in my foot, i'll let you know how i get on but in the mean time i am here for any questions or if you need a chat. I am on velafaxine and larazapam and they really help the anxiety thank god i am also on list for CBT to help with my paranoid fears, perhaps thats worth bringing up to your doc?
I have been suffering the same symptoms as everyone else for the past week. The burning is in both my left and right foot, mostly on the soles and also in the lower calf. It lasts for 2-6 seconds and is hot under the skin however not to touch on the surface. It is such a wierd sensation that its freaking me out. I will go and see a doctor next week to check this out if it continues.Keep you posted.....I am a very healthy 39 year old female who has just started exercising regularly.
It also feels like I took a major crash on my dirt bike, like jumping 15 ft in the air on hard compact dirt, and landing on my left side....and it feels like I punched a brick wall with my right hand.... Im seriously concerned. I have read all your guys symptoms but have not read or have not found yet, anyone stating that it has traveled to other areas outside of the pelvic and leg region....
-I also have a very hard/stiff penis when flaccid (like but 2inches long) -I experience a burning sensation in my penis often in the veins. -I have varicose veins on my testicles. -my testicles are smaller than before. -I have gradually had a harder and harder time getting erections and they are not "full". When erect my penis is about 5.5 inches instead of 6.
I too use a laptop directly on my lap if I am working in bed. My symptoms started in my leg about 3 months ago, exactly where my cell phone is kept when it is in my pocket. Then recently, about 3 weeks ago, I started feeling the same sensation in my penis. No pain, just a little vibration. Everything seems to be functioning normally, but still, me no likey.
pull your toes towards your chest this will help release the pain and then stand up quickly and forcefully step on that foot (painfull but will go away in a second).. I will keep checking back to see if anyone has a cure...keeping all in prayers for this painful condition....

I actually feel a crackly throat the next day like I really had smoke in my room. I had a loser family living on the other side who had a grow up going on in the house. That is a totally different smell all together. This is definitely coming from me.

If they are not going to see a large number of MS patients in their practice, they should not be dabbling in it at all and should refer it on. So, I DO fault the Neuros who don't seek multiple sources of info and some from the basic medical literature. It's like an attorney who has never tried a criminal case, who decides to take on death penalty cases on the basis of a singal article.
The generally only like to use veins for ablation from what i have read on NHS and the British Heart Foundation Site, i was surprised that they used an artery too, in addition i had 3 in the vein, all at the top of my right leg (quite a lot to fit in in one spot), but this maybe so they could get to a different part of my heart. They did have to try to access the left accessory pathway from a variety of 'angles'.
in May I started feeling pain in my right foot at the bottom on the side. Eventually the pain worsened and I had a lump about the size of a 1/2 dollar on the front of my ankle. I went to a podiatrist and had MRIs and x-rays. He determined I had the beginning stages of a stress fracture. He put me in an aircast boot and sent me to physical therapy. The boot did provide some relief as well as physical therapy.
I've had numerous neurological symptoms. I do have a lump in my skull in my forehead called a Haemangioma of the Skull which caused severe pain and also spots on my brain MRIs so I am not sure what my problem is. My best wishes to you and I hope you find out what the problem is, it's very hard to be suffering so much all the time. keep looking for answers there must be one out there.
Right now you can only see one lump on the outside of my left shin approximately 6 inches above my ankle. I doesn't hurt when I touch it at all. When ever I do a run or do a fast paced walk I get two lumps on the side and get to the sice of a half dollar. Then my whole entire shin and top of foot begins to burn like someone poured acid on it. Even though it hurts it feels a lot better to continue walking or running because when I stop it hurts even worse.
About six years ago, I noticed nasty little puckers and crepiness in the crook of my elbow. About six months ago, the skin under my underarm (on the inner side of my arm) started to look saggy. I have an antiaging blog and have used this to document everything logical to be done about this since many of my readers are experiencing the same.
They finally listened to my pleas of pain in my pelvic and did a pelvic MRI on me only to discover I had Pelvic Congestion. I was dumbfounded. Everything I had read stated that only woman who have had multiple pregnancies develop this syndrome. After a failed IVF, and a couple attempts at chlomid, and folistm, I was still childless. My doctor then proceeded to give me the Pelvic Congestion Diagnosis and sent me away telling me to keep trying.
My knee immediately swelled up and I couldn't walk on it so my mother got washing soda in a pillow case and wrapped it around the knee overnight, in the morning the washing soda was a hard lump and my knee had this powdery stuff on the skin, but the knee was markedly smaller, after three days of this the doctors were able to operate, I thought it was my mother being weird - but it worked and several friends have now used the system on their swollen joints.
