The symptoms of lump in the throat and burning sensation in your throat are most likely due to GERD. The pain in the neck and back could be due to stress and anxiety. Please relax. Make sure you eat your dinner 2 hr before bedtime. Eat healthy and drink plenty of water. If symptoms do not improve please consult a gastroenterologist. Take care!
But I am concerned about your description of the thyroid, neck and other symptoms. Would at least have a thyroid/neck ultrasound and evaluation by your general doctor - there may be a lump that requires biopsy.
I have had a lumpy feeling in my throat for years. That is also a known symtpym of acid reflux- back when I had that. My reflux has been gone for 6 months but I still get this lumpy feeling in my throat - it can vary by the hour and go away for a day or two, kind of wierd when swallowing. When I hold my neck back there is a smaller lump under my Adams apple, does everyone have this? . I have been hypo for years, I dont remember what my neck used to look like.
I have none of these symptoms. For the last 3 days, I have experienced a sore and swollen neck, NOT throat. The pain is localized to one particular area which is painfully sore to touch, which is by the round lump...I believe is comparable to the Adam's Apple; however, I'm female. I am running a low grade fever of 100.5 and have no other symptoms. Is this the begining of a cold? Or should I be tested or observed futher by an MD? Thanks for your help in advance!
In the meantime I do have one question. I don't really feel any swelling in my throat but I keep feeling I have a lump in my throat. Like something is stuck in it and if I touch my throat area I will keep this feeling for hours. Is this thyroid or something else?
I have had the sensation of a lump in my throat for the past 2 weeks. It does not hurt it is just annoying. I have been to my dr and she said she did not see anything and no swollen nodes but is sending me to a ent. she thinks it may be silent refux. other symptoms i am having are headache and a stiff neck on the left, it feels muscular. Is anyone else dealing with this? I have health anxiety also. Now this lump sensation comes and goes.
Everyday though, I have this constant feeling of something in the back of my throat/neck - it can almost get to the point I feel like there is air constantly building up-when I burp it does ease it a little. I have tried the aciphex, OTC Prilosec and Nexium, but have not had any relief whatsoever. Should I continue to see the Gastro Dr, I mean is it possible there is another ant-acid med out there that might work?
I now am experiencing a feeling of a lump in my throat when I swallow and the front of my neck seems swollen or enlarged. It is very difficult to swallow if my head is even slightly titled up. What could be causing this?

I've a lump in the right hand side of my neck, my voice has been hoarse for last two years and I feel like there's something stuck in my throat all the time. I sometimes get pain from my ear down my neck. Should I be worried about this? Please help.
I have been having a lump in my throat for several months. After thinking I was getting food caught in my throat and even getting an endoscopy I've begun to think it may be food allergies. I do not find it hard to breath though. Can a food allergy symptom be a lump in the throat or chest without feeling hard to breath? I usually feel this just after eating and I feel very nauseous some of the time. I have a bit of a feeling of pins and needles in my throat sometimes.
The problem is that in the last ten days, more or less, I started feeling a lump in my throat, and I in panic, since I'm thinking the worst scenario (I have lost my father last October for pancreatic cancer, and since then, I have become a bit hypochondriac). I had my blood test 2 weeks ago, and everything was fine, but the sense of the lump is making me crazy. The Uni health center referred me to a endocrinologist, I'll go next week.
I found a lump in the bottom of my throat on the right hand side. It is slightly smaller than a marble and slightly tender. It moves up and down when I swallow. I have no thyroid symptoms. I I went to the doctor today and he said that the lump was a vascular formation? That makes no sense to me. It seems rather large to be a vascular. How could he tell the difference between vascular and a thyroid nodule?
VCD attacks, cough, voice problems, asthma, globus (feeling of lump in throat), constant need to clear throat, worsening of sinus condition, sore throat, pre-cancerous conditions of throat &/or esophagus, etc. SOME GER/LPR CONTROL THINGS WE DO, that we learned from the excellent book: STOMACH AILMENTS AND DIGESTIVE DISTURBANCES, by Michael T. Murray, N.D. See page 9, References, in my website: http://cantbreathesuspectvcd.com and, also see GER/LPR info on page 5, and on LINKS page.
In October 2009 a lymph node in my neck was incredibly swollen and the swelling spread (only on one side of my face) and caused the right side of my face to double in size, I went to a doctor and they didn't know what it was so they just gave my antibiotics. The swelling then decreased, but I had noticed that one particular lymph node on my right side just under my jaw remained slightly swollen, but it didn't hurt and wasn't fixed so I wasn't concerned.
I cough, and feel like I have mucus in my throat after eating. I have an appointment with an ENT in a few weeks. I'm not in any pain, just annoyed that I can't cough or clear this feeling out of my throat. HELP! I noticed that your post is from September - have you received any answers since then?????
Is there a good chance of a connection between my back problems and the anxiety/lump in throat symptoms? Do these symptoms sound like a possible heart problem? Other than seeing a doctor, what could i do to possibly help with my symptoms. I'm fairly convinced that some of the symptoms are nerves, and some of the symptoms are something else. It's trying to figure out what's my imagination and what's part of a problem...
I have recently come across a small lump in the right side of my neck located just past the halfway point of my neck and slightly towards the back (behind my ear as opposed to in front of it). The lump is not painful, hard, and I can move it slightly up and down, and it's not round more of and oval shape. I don't smoke or drink, I am however tired all the time.
I'm not sure if it may be due to me being sick because recently I just got over a virus I think that made my throat very sore. Today I have had a lump in my throat all day long that feels like a big piece of food at least a marble size or slightly bigger that is lodged in there. When I swallow, any the food or liquid seems to move around the lump to go down and it feels very uncomfortable. When the area is pressed on, there is alot of pressure.
I work very long hours in a call centre and my neck hurts so much. I wonder if I have permanent damage to my vocal cord. My neck feels like I have lump to swallow & I can't physically talk any more & it hurts a lot.
FT3 correlates best with symptoms and if you get those levels higher in their range, it's quite likely that more of your symptoms will go away. Many of us find that we do best, when FT3 is adjusted into the upper 1/3 of its range. There are also reports indicating that selenium also helps with the conversion of FT4 to FT3.
The elbows does not sound like lymphoma and neither does the change in bowel movements. In fact unless you had cancer in your bowel area I have never heard or read of this being a symptom. I am curious as to where you heard this.
Also, my throat has been very slowly starting to ache and it feels like there's a lump or frog in my throat. Both symptoms seem to increase when I eat, sometimes it is hard to pinpoint. My throat muscles have been tight because of my neck pain. The thing that drives me NUTS, absolutely NUTS, is how this abdominal ache flares up and triggers my vasovagal responses over and over throughout the day. I never feel really comfortable, and the anxiety is driving me up the wall.
It's been 3 days since Dr visit and yesterday I had a new symptom like a lump is stuck in the bottom of my neck or throat. Today still have all listed symptoms, and Dr doesn't have test results yet. Just wondering if anyone has had this or knows what could be the cause?!?!
