Hi there, I'm new to this page and have looked around for similar questions, forgive me if this is a repeat. My husband has a serious lump in the palm of his hand, at the base of his thumb, and has had the MRI and there is talk of a tumor. We have been unable to see the specialist in a timely manor, and he is in pain, difficulty using his hand, and not sleeping.
I just started with the same type lump in my left hand - lower palm - down from my middle finger. Mine hurts a lot. It hurts when I do dishes, wash my hands etc. I found it two days ago then injured the area yesterday by tearing up some cardboard and the cardboard poked me right next to it so I think that's why it hurts more than it should. Let me know if you find out what it is.
Seeking advice. I found a lump in my forearm a little over a week ago. The lump is located (palm-side up) about 2-3 inches below my elbow (pinky side). The lump feels like a bb and its tender. At first there was some swelling, but it appears to have gone down and its not as tender. Last Saturday I went to an Urgent Care clinic and the PA took an x-ray and she said that the x-ray showed a reaction - but the bone was healthy.
So it's very possible to have it in the palm of your hand, particularly if you drive around a lot and your palm encounters friction from the steering wheel. If you're experiencing a lot of pain and the lump is interfering with your daily activities, it might be best to have it removed. However, ganglion cysts have a tendency to recur if not removed entirely, so the surgeon has to make sure that the entire capsule of the cyst is excised.
Hello, I cannot confirm anything without examination but this lump can be a cyst or a swollen lymph node. Regarding the mole on the palm, if you notice changes in the mole's/mark’s color, height, size or shape, you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. You also should have it checked if it bleeds, oozes, itches, appear scaly, or become tender or painful. Otherwise it should be left as such. I think that you should get it evaluated from a dermatologist and get the diagnosis confirmed.
I had carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand December 19, 2008. I had pain in my palm in post op. My forefinger now has paresthesia that is slowly getting better but not 100%. I also have a lump on the thumb side of the surgery scar that feels like a hard flat and rounded rock. The Orthopedic surgeon says that the "lump" could be a neuroma. I have read about ganglion cysts and lipomas, etc. When I massage or push on the lump, my forefinger feels more numb.

In the last several months, I have developed a painful lump in that breast. A mammogram and ultrasound were performed, showing a mass that did not look like a cancer. The lump is moveable. The outer lower side of this breast is painful to the touch. The pain radiates to my armpit and down my hand into the palm. My back has also started hurting. My doctor took me off my hormone replacement to see if the pain and lump would diminsh. (I took prempro and estratest.
I just found a lump in my right arm pit. Reading about theese it seems like it could be a swoolen glad or something, but what concerns me is mine sounds a bit diffrent then the others I have been reading about. I have no pain. Very minor discomfort when it is pressed on, but barely. Also it is big, really big. I noticed it streching this morning, for some reason I rubbed it with my left hand when my right was raised and there it was. I would say it is about the size of the palm of my hand.
I have a large painless lump in front of my ear. It has been there almost 10 years and has not gave me any problems. It is a very hard lump and about the size of a large marble. It has gotten larger in the last 2 years. I have no insurance and when i did go to the dr a couple years ago they said it was a partiod gland and if it didn't hurt than to just leave it be. Im just worried . What would you suggest it was and what should i do about it?
I can't imagine it being a cyst as it was the result of a fall. It's odd that there is such a large lump. It's not in my dominant hand so that's a good thing. I'm considering seeing someone but feel a bit foolish cause it's not a huge bother. The flip side to that is that it's not healing and I don't want it to cause joint problems down the road. Considering some Glucosamine and a splint but was curious if anyone had this happen and if I should see a doc and get it x-rayed... Ms.
I also have a small lump in the palm of my hand.
Hi! I am a 22 yr old female. i have a long, sausage shaped lump in my lower right quadrant of the abdomen. i can almost feel movement in it..and it is sometimes hard, and sometimes soft and imperceptible. Also, it is absolutely painless, but move-able. I noticed it because i could feel it under my skin. It does not cause me any discomfort, but im just worried as to what this is? please, please help me.
I'm not a professional singer, but I've been a many musical productions for community theaters in this area, and I used to sing a good bit in church choirs, weddings, etc. I still have a lump in my throat that comes and goes, and the high notes just aren't there at all. In fact, I can't sing any higher than my regular speaking voice, which is baritone. It's like those muscles don't work anymore. It's really distressing.
Just this morning I felt pain in my palm like it was bruised. I noticed a lump on my palm between the base of my thumb and pointer finger. It is swollen and tender to the touch and is about a centimeter around. It is not bony, and follows right along the life line in my palm. It is not perfectly circle. I am 24, female and healthy. I am though at high risk for skin cancer due to several moles and I have a bony lump on my head as well which I have had a cat-scan for.
Since then, the ovarian cyst has increased in size. Since my most recent scan only weeks ago, I have devoloped a lump just under my belly button that is about the size of my palm. This has been present for about 5 days. It is tender to touch and is a hard mass when I wake in the mornings. I wonder what this lump is likely to be related to. I have been also feeling more aching and naucious than usual. Any thoughts on what this lump may be due to would be greatly appreciated.
Whenever these red blisters appear they always appear in that location. They come and go but it has become irritating and i would like to know what it is that is causing this,. Any help would be much appreciated. BTW they dont hurt but i can feel them.
It is right above the knuckle joint. It is white in the center and has a ring of dark (red) around it. I thought it looked like a planters wart. I bought some wart remover from drug store. After a couple of days when I took the bandage off as per directions. It was white around it and the center was a hole. Didn't have any drainage. Don't remember any strong odor. Wasn't sure if that was good or not so I didn't use it again. Now its even more painful.
They have never tested his brother for neuroblastoma regardless of how much I have begged. He also has a hard little lump on his left hand in his palm where the index finger meets the palm. It moves a little, and seem to be about the same hardness as a hard cartlidge (not like the cartlidge in your ear, harder than that, but not quite bone). It's very worrisome to me to have these issues going on with my son when his twin brother has cancer, and no one will check him out!
19 as well and I actually have that same pea like lump in my middle finger, the joint right before my palm begins. I looked on multiple websites and talked to my mom, who has had the same thing. It could possibly be something called Sebacus cyst. The doctor can cut it out but they say chances are it will just come back. Although they're not something you should have to worry about too much, you should probably just talked to a doctor and see what he said.

I had lymphedema while getting radiation following lumpectomy and removal of 25 axillary nodes (one positive) 13+ years ago. Cuts on my hand do not heal well unless I use medicated band-aids. A few months ago I had a all cut on my forefinger that I let heal naturally( but slowly); but continued to feel itchiness in my palm & finger after it appeared healed. About 2-3 months ago I got another tiny cut on the forefinger & also the skin on my thumb had a small crack.
I have a lump on the inside of my left arm , ( roughly 2 centimetres from the start of the palm of the hand ) which I can see pulsating . I can actually see movement starting at the lump and going up to the start of the palm of the hand On a visit to the doctor I was told that it is a vein crossing over the artery . However on another visit I was told by a different doctor that it is a tortuous radial artery . My questions are :- Which of the above is it likely to be ?
Just in case it's related - I've also had tingling in my left two fingers and half of my palm for the past week. I did whack my elbow very hard 8 days ago, but thought I'd mention it in case it might be connected to my neck. This isn't so much a question of what is wrong - but does this lump sound like something that can wait a week to see the doctor about? Thanks.
I have a large lump on my rib that is right below my left breast. It is not in my breast but below my breast.I had a tumor removed a year ago in my right breast, which was benign, but this is strange. It is very large and very distinctive. Can you have a tumor on your rib and not in your breast that might be Breast cancer and what do you think it can be. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
