lump

probably just a lymph node. my sister had a pea size lump behind her ear too. it's harmless and should disappear in it's own accord. but if in doubt see the doctor!
) But yesterday I, too, discovered the lump (pea sized, not read, behind my left ear in the middle. it hurts to touch it, so I don't. I hope it's because I picked up E Coli or Samonella or something and the poison in my body is creating it. So for those worried about this, it's all new for me. I hope it's something in the body that the lymph isn't happy with and that's it.
how long does it take for a inner zit to go away?
Hello, I'm a 24YO female and I've had this very small lump on the inner jaw close to the bottom of my mouth for about 4 years. It's under the skin, it doesnt move and it feels like a cyst (I have one behind my ear). But I don't see anything when I look in the mirror and when I read about cysts inside the mouth it says you should see it and that you have to have it removed. Mine doesnt bother me it's just there but I was wondering if it is a cyst or if it could be something else?
I have a lump in my ear and it hurts when I touch it and other than that nothing goes on and I have one In my cartlidge and on my other ear the upper part of my ear canal I've heard that if I get a sewing needle and pop it and put alcohol it should heel but nothing comes out of it it's just there I haven't gone to a doctor so what should I do it hurts by its self sometimes
It occurs with disorders affecting the external, the middle or the inner ear. In the outer ears cerumen impaction or external otitis, in the middle ear fluid collection or disease of the tympanic membrane and in the inner ear damage to the nerve endings can cause tinnitus. As a result of these disorders the external sounds are masked leading to awareness of normal body sounds.

I have also discovered a lump in my neck right behind my ear and by my jaw line. It doesn't move and it isn't painful but I'm very concerned about it. I've been gaining weight and have been extremely fatigued. I just moved to Florida and don't have a doctor yet. Do you think I should have it checked at an urgent care or hospital? Does anyone know what it could possibly be?
As I mention in every post on this particular forum I have a hole between my inner ear and my brain. Superior Semicircular Canal Dehiscence. Another Dehiscence (the paper I mention) can be between the inner ear and the sinus. The concept of this paper sounds like it could be what you have(?).
Hey everyone, I am 22 years of age and having a serious problem and really needing some help desperately. I have extreme pain from a inner big lump behind my left ear, right above where my jaw bone and neck meet! I’ve had it for many years, and over the years it seems to be getting worst. I can't even touch behind my ear, when I throw up the bump causes numbness all over the left side of my face.
A few days ago I noticed a sore, reddish swollen lump on my left inner thigh, right along my bikini line. It has since gotten larger (about the size of a nickel, and more elongated now). It only feels sore if I press on it or rub against it. It seems like a soft lump that moves around with the skin. Last night I applied a warm washcloth to it for about 30 minutes, which made it feel better. Could this be a swollen lymph node, or maybe an ingrown hair?
Hi, I'm hoping for some help with the following problem, as having just finished a course of antibiotics ( Azithromycin 500) for a suspected "lymph node infection" which apparently is pressing on the Trigeminal nerve. I am still finding the pain unbearable, & feel its only subsided slightly.
I have what is assumed a lump in my throat. I had phlem building up and kept swollowing to clear my thoat. I could not seem to clear it. I am also feeling dizzy. I have had this for a few weeks. Today I awoke and the lump seems to have gone as there has been no phlem build up but my throat has a slight burning affect. I am also still feeling dizzy. Please can anyone help?
im not a doctor although i sometimes have a similar sensation. sounds like something is up in your inner ear. could be fluid in your ear that is drying by the time that you doctor looks at it or may be a nerve issue. mine is not really anoying thankfully and is really rare but i know what you mean. have you been to an ENT?
i have a little lump just below my ear and it hurts when i touch it and its in the gland. i clean my ears with q tips and shove them way down my ear and i itch my ears with bobby pins. i also have been dizzy (is that relation to my ears? like im off balance) im scared i have a tumor but i think its from shoving things down my ear. please help thanks.
However, although the lump has reduced to just a few millimeters now, it has hardened and has not gone away. I have been experiencing pain in the inner ear (same side as my lump), and I sometimes feel numbness on my face ipsilaterally. I have a general feeling of discomfort from the back side of my head, and sometimes have sharp headaches on the right side of my face. What do you suggest I do, and based on this description do you have any predictions about this condition?
I was once diagnosed as having vertigo (no testing was done) she said I had no fluid on the ear drum, so it must be the inner ear (vertigo). But now I woke up yesterday with the feeling again and the feeling like somthing is stuck in my throat (left side again). I honestly thought that maybe is was just allergies until reading this forum. Now I am concerned about my thyroid. I made an appt for tmrw morning. I also have GERD, but have not had any problems.
I'm a little frustrated because I feel pressure and I know something is causing the thumping noise. It only happens when I move, as if there's fluid in my inner ear, but he didn't have any answers for me. What a waste of time and money!! I guess I'll have to learn to live with it.
retaining water in foot and hands and puffy face. carpal tunnel in both hands SEVERE cramps in inner thigh at night. my hair has become very dry. I feel like I've become 'stupid'...forgetting words, losing my concentration and just dumb! I'm 10 months without a period and have 'chalked up' most of these things to menopause. Now, with this swelling in my throat, I'm thinking it has more to do with Thyroid. Does this sound like Goiter with hypothyroid? Thank you.
It sometimes feels like I have a lump in my throat, if I rub it, and around my neck I will get the liquid and draining feeling in my ear, also my throat sometimes feels swollen. Over the counter decongestants do not help me. I was on antibiotics for a week and they did nothing. I am on rhinocort aqua for allergies, that does not help.
The pain has been throbbing and has radiated all along the right side of my face, primarily including the inner right ear, the right temple, and of course the right side of my jaw. In the past, my dentist has monitored me for TMJ and has only noticed clicking on the left side of my jaw (which is why I'm concerned that this may not be TMJ related).
All my MRI and exams were negative as well. I do have a vestibular issue in my left ear that ws found in a balance test by my ENT. They think thats the issue right now. The ENT gave me some excercises to do yesterday. I started doing them last night and I think it helped. Im goin to try them for a few weeks to see if things return to normal. Seek out an ENT to get the excercises and the balance test.
) Get a spoonful of salt...and something to spit in 2.) Apply all of the salt to the lump/area of concern 3.) Keep the salt on the mucocele for 15 minutes (I laid down on a bed and had the salt pressed firmly against the mucocele, spitting into a bowl as needed) 4.) After 15 minutes, rinse the salt out of your mouth I followed these steps and the mucocele was gone that evening (about 12 hours later). Hope this works for you all, as well...
But I am now getting sharp pains (last a few seconds at a time and have been on and off all day) at the back of my head on the left side (same side as the lumps) and am worried it could be something else since my doctor before told me the lump was a cyst not a gland? I have had these sharp pains in my head before as well as funny hearing in that side. My inner ear is a bit sore too but better than yesterday.
Getting checked as soon as possible is the safest and best route to take. I have a soft tender lump on my inner thigh and now I also have one on my mid lower abdomen. I am also really scared of cancer. Good luck remember your young so your chances are lower.
My hamster has a lump either in the back right of her cheeks or in her inner ear... i think it is the ear as her right ear looks as though it is pasted down over the lump, but she wont be still long enough for me to take a look and i dont want to hurt her... mainly my question is: Is there any way i can give her some tylenol or some other pain medication? She keeps squeaking as though she is in pain and i dont want her to hurt.
Immediately afterwards, I had the sensation of fluid sloshing around in my ear. It was very clear (to me) that there was fluid in my ear, but it had not dawned on me at the time that it might have gotten sucked up into my Eustachian Tube during all of the thrashing about I did in the pool. After a few days of trying to 'clear' my ear (and probably making it worse via the valsalva maneuver) I ended up in a severe amount of pain suddenly one night and went to the ER.
I have hypercelcemia, and I am thinking whether my ear pain, tinnitus and vertigo maight result from possible calcium crystals in my inner ear (?), why not being also in the middle ear? My thyroid nodules have shrunk to below 1 cm, and the thyroid gland itself has shrunk to very small. Thus the nodules may not be a cause for ear pain. I have postnasal drip and a swollen lymph node behind my sternocleidomastoid muscle for years. The lymph node could also cause my jaw-ear-temple pain.
