The second time he said that it wasn't a swollen lymph node, but a simple bacterial infection. I don't think it's a swollen lymph node because it doesnt hurt. It can be an STD because I'm not sexually active and there's no discharge.

The ache came and went over 2013 never getting worse than it was in January. In October of 2013 started to notice an ache in my right groin area but thought I might have pulled something. December started to notice an ache under my right arm. Saw Doctor the end of December and he inquired about a possible infection. Had an ultra sound performed on neck and armpit area in early January 2014 which came back normal. Last week or so the ache is on both side in my groin and armpit areas.

I have had a lump in my groin about 2 cm big for at least 7 weeks I was showering when I noticed it and it isn't painful, so completely unsure how long I have actually had it. I went to Dr and he couldn't find it while I was laying down when I stood up he could feel it. He said it was a swollen lymph node and that if it doesn't go away in another 6 weeks to call him and he will set me up with a surgeon for a needle biopsy.
I do not think this fits the signs and symptoms of prostate or testicular cancer. Dampness in the groin area is sometimes expected since these areas of the body (eg armpits, groin and in women beneath the breasts) are usually covered. The warmth , sweat and moisture may cause the sensation of dampness.

I was also wondering what your husbands doctor had to say about the ultrasound, If it was a mass in the testicles and it appeared as solid it most likely is testicular cancer. When the semester was over (just after Christmas) I went to my regular doctor about the lump in my groin. I meant to ask about the other symptoms but I figured if I had cancer they would be able to find it from the lump and the other symptoms weren't as tangible. The doctor said he wasn’t worried about it, but just to be sure sent me to a urologist to get it checked out. The urologist again said he wasn’t worried after a physical examination.
i just had my second hernia operation, hernia's dont cause pain they can sit there nicely. mine was causing me discomfort when i sneezed and lifted stuff and did running etc.

The bump in the armpit may be an infected lymph node or it may be a superficial skin infection like a boil, folliculitis, or an infected insect bite.

In any case she concluded that because my neck is red and that my lump is small that I had an infection and see her in one week if it grows or does not get small. She did not prescribe me anything and told me that even a blood test is not necessary!
So I am just hypochondriac or a small (around 1 cm at least the part that I can feel with my hand in the neck) and ligt feeling of mucus in the throat is something that need attention and therefore find a another doctor?
