Common Questions and Answers about Lump in elbow crease

lump

Hi Welcome to the MedHelp forum! If you have lumps in crease of elbow and knee, then these could either be cysts or ganglions. They could also be neurofibromas (harmless collection of nerve and fibrous tissue). It is difficult to comment without examination, but all the mentioned swellings are actually harmless. A CT scan of the swellings could be diagnostic. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
However, she has now developed thick skin lumps - numerous of them on her knees and now elbows. The GP said it was due to her crawling around on carpet. However, she appears to have smaller versions of these lumps on her entire body. Also on the backs of her legs she appears to have an "allergy" looking rash. The GP had given her hydrocortisone, and told to hydrate... but I am conscious that its something sinister...
Around the beginning of Summer, I noticed some type of lump/swelling on my inner elbow, right above the crease on the side closest to my body with palm facing up. My doctor said that it must be a hematoma and that I might have bumped it without noticing. After a several months, the swelling decreased and nearly disappeared, but it has recently come back. There is no discoloration and no lump can be felt beneath the skin when my arm is bent.
in any event, it hurt very badly going in and a month later there is still a bruise where she put the needle in a little further down my arm. My vein is hard, and there is a hard lump where my elbow crease is.... it's not hurting at all anymore. I'm just assuming she damaged the vein a little, Maybe there is some clotting going on.... but I assume it will go away.
I also have noticed a lump under my skin on my forearm about 3 inches below where the crease in my elbow bends a little to the left. It only is sore when I push on it to find it to show my husband that it is a little bigger than last time. I am planning to make an appt. with the doctor. Should I make it with my family doctor or a specialist of some kind? What cold this be?
i know how scared you are because i am in the same boat as you. i found a lump in both of my elbow creases in each arm they're both symmetrical but mine don't move so much and i had mine for a couple years now, i went to one doctor and she said there is no need to worry about it because cancer is hardly ever symmetrical and if it was i would have a 1 and 1 million chance pretty much that it was. i know how you feel i don't thibk yours is too much to worry about either.
Next came the lumps in the crease opposite side to my elbow. One very pronounced. They are hard but may have a liquid of sorts inside of them. Gross!!! And just today a new one developed in my left middle finger!! between the nuckle and the first finger hinge. So they keep popping up on any random day. Unexpectedely. And I did ask my Oncologic surgeon who is also an expert in the field of lymph node disection. He and his resident thought it was a fatty deposit.
On my left arm, in the crease by the elbow over the vein to the right of arm, I have a lump. It grows. At some points it is smaller and other times it seems to get bigger. I have gotten a stabbing shooting pain in my elbow. That pain has happened maybe 6 or 7 times. I have had this for around 7 months. Around that same time i was lying in bed, falling asleep and I felt a bubble type feeling going up my arm.
but the area where the lymph nodes are in the elbow is not the same place where my lumps are located, if you hold your arm straight out palm side up and look at the elbow crease right in the center of both arms is where the lumps are.
They look like red cluster of pimples or small blisters. It is more likely to occur on the neck and upper chest, in the groin, under the breasts, and in elbow creases. The best treatment for heat rash is to provide a cooler, less humid environment. It is important to keep the affected area dry. Avoid using ointments or creams because they keep the skin warm and moist and may make the condition worse. If it persists, it would be best to see your doctor for further evaluation and management.
Recently I have had pain running from my wrist to my elbow. It hurts especially when I extend my hand backwards. There is a lump that has formed in the crease of my elbow and I am not sure if that is related. It almost feels like a swollen blood vessel underneath a muscle. Not too sure though. I have had a history of typing and making pizza. Could that be the source of this? Please help.
Then a month later I began getting the painful lumps on my palms, then later on my wrists always over the viens. Then in the inside crease of my elbow, until they went away I coudnlt even bend my arm. Now they appear on my arms(all over), on my abdomen and lower back, shoulders and neck, and the rash on my face is worse and lasts for days. The current one has been constant for 5 days straight.
Recently, for about a week now I've developed a bump in my arm in the crease above my elbow. My doctor didn't know what it was so i have an appt for an orthopedic this wendnesday. He said it could be fluid because after having it wrapped for a week it went down but the area where it was feels swollen still. Ive also been experiencing radiating pain in my lower back, which shoots all the way up to my neck and down to my knees.
About a week later I was bending down and noticed a lump in the crease of my left leg between the groin and leg. It was the size and shape of a snap pea (the ones in the shell) but that one has gotten much bigger and is really hard. I have another lump with the same description as the one in the groin on my right arm (the thumb side) where my elbow bends. And one on the left side a little further down on my forearm.
It's about the size of a dime, it has stayed the same. It doesn't hurt or move. It feels brused and I can feel a lump on near my breast crease, so I am not sure what it is. I waited 3 months then made an appointment with my GP. He said it was unlikely to be at the elbow. He manipulated my wrist and fingers but there was no difference. I was at ER (for my other wrost after falling down icy steps so this wasn;t basis of visit) The Consultant said it was unlikely to be at the wrist A friend an A&E Doc said it's most likely to be at the elbow.
After a recent heavy-lifting right hand strain with pain, I now have wrist-crease and adjacent forearm pain on the ulnar side, mostly with flexion...as is done when throwing a football. this has persisted since approximately 5/11/2013. I've also been doing extensive work on my new laptop, especially since 12/25/12, working on ancestry.com researching ancestors, literally for hours at a time, with breaks.
I saw my doctor yesterday, and she couldn't see what I was noticing, nor could she feel a lump in the area. I think she said something about normal skin markings, like stretch marks and other little freckles, but I don't remember exactly. I specifically asked if it was a dimple, and when she said definitely not, everything else went out of my head with the relief. It didn't occur to me until later to ask "So ... what IS it, then?

3 days later I had lumps in the middle of my elbow crease. I went to my doctor who told me I couldn't get HIV this way like you did, and that the lumps in my elbows were tendons and felt no nodes anywhere else. I went on Xanax, but after a week went back. To calm me he did an antibody test at 20 days which was negative. My question is how accurate is it at that time frame? I saw somewhere where Dr. HHH said 80-90% of people would have detectable antibodies at that point, is that accurate?
When I returned home the next day I woke up with a huge red like bruise on my chest that didnt itch and 3 small dark slightly raised bumps inside the crease of my arm ( inside of elbow). Now the red bruise has turned purplish still no itch, nor pain. I dont have medical coverage. My friend and I did engage in 4 days of unprotected sex. I had a full panel blood work up about 4-5 months prior that was clean. Should I be worried. Would STD/HIV symptoms show that soon? I've been home 2 weeks.

I have had a gland in the crease of my left leg and the lump that was removed behind my ear from Cat Scratch fever, was also on the left. Does lyme work this way? One sided more than the other? At this time, I have to request my lab tests, in order to bring them with me to my LLMD.
