The pain prompted me to examine my leg and that is when I noticed a lump at the bottom of my calf muscle and flexing only made it more noticeable. Two clinic visits, an ultrasound and one pcp later still no answers or guesses. The mass is getting larger. My pcp was supposed to view the u/s results that the clinic ordered, but I haven't heard from him.
My left calf is noticeably bigger than my right.
Ok, so now to my question. What type Doctor should I see?

I have had a swollen calf since late January. I was initially told it was a haematoma following a muscle tear and it would go by itself but I have now had an MRI scan and Ultrasound and my doctors exact words were 'there's something growing in there'. The lump/swelling is uncomfortable rather than painful and hasn't changed in size since I first noticed it.
I'm being sent to a specialist but does it sound like cancer?
I woke up a week and three days ago, and noticed that there was a massive bruise on my calf. The bruise was all kinds of different colors. There was a hard lump in the middle of the bruise, and the middle of the bruise where the lump was a yellow color. Around the lump was a circle that was a purple and black color. Around the purple and black circle was a blue and brown color. Over the next few days the blue color started spreading down my leg.
The last couple days my legs have been so sore. Well today since I'm wearing shorts I noticed a small lump on my putter calf part of my leg (only noticeable when I'm flexing. I'm all freaked out. My husband said to wait until tomorrow to see if it gets worse. The lump itself does not hurt, my legs just feel heavy and tired. But I busted butt around my house all day yesterday , followed by an intense love making session with my hubby. I was exhausted to say the least.

About three weeks ago, my calf was swollen, red, and itchy after a 7 hour car ride from SF to LA. I also noticed there was a lump/bump beneath my skin at the location of the swelling and a noticeable warmth at the site. I waited a couple of days to see if the swelling would go away but when my condition stayed the same, I went to an urgent care center. They ruled out DVT based on my symptoms and they suggested it was an infection of some sort and prescribed me an antibiotic, which I never took.
Hi I have the same thing but only have noticed it after having my c s section a month ago Its in my upper right thigh it burns sometimes and tingles and when I squeeze my leg I see it in my thigh it's like a little lump but feels really hard like musicle but the other one isn't like that,it's hurts sometimes that's why I went to the er and they did and Doppler ultrasound of my whole leg and it came back negative for blood clots so idk what that is I really want a ct scan of it th
No please go have it looked at, it may be forming a cellulitus or an abscess which can lead to a nasty infection. You may need antibiotics. This sometimes happens with an injury and an immune response. Best to have it looked at by your doctor.
m 8 weeks pregnasnt with my second child and I am really worrying right now. Randomly last night I looked at my leg and felt a small lump on my lower left calf and it hurts to touch and feels like a lump when you touch it. Looking at my leg you can't see anything abnormal about it at all not even where the lump is. It looks slightly barely like a bruise. I read online dumb things and now am scared of like a blood clot. I'm 20 years old.
So i noticed a lump on my leg it's on the left side of my right leg just under my calf it just showed up. It's firm a little tender to the touch it's a little tender around the lump.
I actually went to my gp and he took an extra that he said looked fine and he also did an ultrasound. The untra sound from what I understand didn't really show a hole lot. He said he didn't see a mass ?!
I am 26 years old and for the most part pretty healthy. Work out on occasion but that is just as of recently. For a few years I have been experiencing a sporadic pain in my right lower leg. It's more so located inbetween my calf and my shin on the inner side. When it's not hurting, you can feel a lump but it's very small, like a cm in diameter. Every so often though, it's very painful and it's almost as if it swells up (the lump that is).

I'm a 25 year old female, ex-smoker, and overweight. Not exactly the picture of perfect health, but no history of heart disease on either side of the family.
I noticed a large bulge in between my shin and calf area that appeared out of nowhere. It is about the size of a golf ball. It doesn't hurt and feels like theres water or air in it. I've had it for about a week and hasn't got any bigger but looks like it goes down a little it when I wake up. What could it be? Getting a litle freaked out about it. Can you please help? Thanks!

Yesterday i had severe pain in my thigh behind knee and calf on a scale from1-10 about an 8 even considered going A&E but didnt as felf foolish .. today i just have tightness in my calf and a dull ache in calf not really that painful!!! I have dr's appointment later although now feel a fraud.. but was so painful yesterday.. no swelling/bruising and I have not had an injury or over done things.. unless standing ironing counts!!
You could have some circulatory issues. If you calf is hard I would be more concerned about phlebitis (inflammation in the vessels) or thrombophlebitis (inflammation with a clot). Is the area red or warm?
I suggest you see a physician asap. They can best diagnosis your calf issues.I do not want to scare you. If you have a clot it can be life threatening. If you have phlebitis it can develop a clot. I would not message it until you have a diagnosis.
I am 27 years old and earlier today, I started getting sudden muscle cramp-like spasms in my calf. It is only on my left calf and is behind the knee and down the outside to middle of the calf. Feeling the calf when this pain happens, i cannot feel the muscles tensing or contracting. The best way i can describe the pain is almost like a funny bone pain, but in my calf. The spasms (or whatever they are) are so intense, i cry out in pain.
I tried heat and ice and both had no effect.
Started slowly with tingling in one calf but I now have tingling burning pins and needles in feet hands and arms and legs. Sometimes the face. The lump in the throat I also have but I think that might be anxiety related. Hav eyou had your thyroid checked? Also B12 deficiency can cause all of that. See if you regular doc can run some blood tests. If they come back normal they will probably refer you to a neurologist.
2 months ago my right little toe started to twitch often.The twitch then started in my right calf and the muscle felt like I had over worked it like I have been down the gym and worked it very hard, where you get that trembly feeling.
I then developed a feeling in the back of my throat like it was closing up or there was a lump in it. I went to see an ENT doctor who performed a scope and nothing was found.
i suddenly felt pain in the back of my right calf, right below the knee side, squeezing it, felt painful, but didnt notice any reddish color, on swelling, then it went to both calves. when sitting or standing, there is no pain, as i get up or start to walk there is this pain.
i searched online,as i was told it is Charlie's horse, but rather, they mentioned DVT, or clot.
The left calf is ok now,but the right calf,still has this pain.

30 yr old female. For the past couple of weeks I've had a pulsing in my left calf. It's been small, but always in the same spot towards the inside my calf. I don't feel as though it's a muscle twitch because it's so small and specific. I always notice it when I'm sitting or lying down. I suffered a crush injury on my opposite calf and knee about 3months ago and took naproxen for approx 4 weeks. Any ideas?
Heat radiating in the calf especially after a knee surgery could be due to clots in the deep veins of the calf or deep vein thrombosis. A duplex ultrasound or angiogram is required for diagnosis. Please consult a vascular specialist. This may need further treatment with medication and maybe even surgery. Please get this evaluated fast. Take care!
about 1 month ago I hit my leg with burning pain immediately developed Hugh hematoma swelled instantly from just below knee all the way to ankle, I hit it in the calf right leg this leg is eighteen months post 4 surgery's to deal with a smashed ankle I have a lot of metal, the hematoma is almost gone some aching is still present swelling some one spot is still a lump. now there is a bright red rash from ankle to about 1/3 up the leg it itch's a lot is sort of puffy rough to the touch .
