Common Questions and Answers about Lump groin men

lump

hi there,im 20 and ive just recently noticed a lump in my groin, theres no pain and the lump feels as if its about 2cm,ive had it for about 3 weeks now and i keep thinking its growing but im not sure if its phsycological.
Since the beginning of my illness everything I read regarding the disease, when I stumbled across the stats of men getting it, I read through it. Dx is rare. specially on sub clinical Hypo or Hyper thyroidism in men. I believe this b/c men are less likely to see a doctor when they have symptoms. and if they do go and get Dx'd - most do not have the patience and stay on top of it.
a few weeks ago i was masterbating and using a dildo for anal stimulation. some kind of small lump popped up in my lower left groin, which has never happened. i came with no pain or problems and the lump just went right back down. since then i have been aware of my left testicle feeling a little tender but again - no pain. i have also been feeling something in my groin area as well that seems to be sometimes on the left side and now sometimes on the right side. again, no pain.
if it does i would suggest its a hernia, if it doesnt' then its probably not, i have only had experience with ingrunal hernia's in your groin, you can get hernias in 5 spots i believe 2 sides of your groin (mostly in men), in your belly button (women mostly from child birth, or children born with them, however they are not uncommon in men) you can get them in your upper leg, and another spot on your tummy too....
could be some fluff from my underwear... seemed hard... have observed this twice. so to recap groin pain on both sides of groin...
I am a 23 yr. old male. I noticed a small lump located on my scrotum. It is not on the testicle, it is located on the skin. It is about the size of an M&M, with a slight redness on the outside skin of the scrotum. It did not hurt, but as i have been examining it, it has started a sort of throbbing pain, scale of 1-10, 10 being most painful, it is a 3 or 4 . I have had only one girlfriend for the past year and neither of us has any STD's.
Men are much more likely to develop an inguinal hernia than women because of a potential weakness in the abdominal wall at the groin. If a lump in the scrotum is an inguinal hernia, the impulse from a cough may be felt in the scrotum. " "A soft lump in the scrotum, especially if you can get your fingers between it and the testicle, is most likely to be a hydrocele. This is a collection of sterile fluid in the cord attached to the testicle, which is invariably harmless.
) Shrinking Penis Syndrome 2.) Buzzing Groin Syndrome 3.) Chronic Non-Bacterial (Type III) Prostatitis What I'm interested in is: How many of us have had symptoms of all three diseases? I'm wondering if this is one big syndrome with three distinct manifestations. I think this myself because I have had symptoms of all three disorders - the Buzzing Groin Syndrome a couple of years ago, which led to CNBP which has led to the Shrinking Penis Syndrome. So, let's gather some data.
It's a very unbearable discomfort since it's chronic and unmanageable. However, I do have actual pain in my right groin. After doing my own research, I would call this my spermatic cord or my inguinal canal. The pain is usually dull but I do have some sudden sharp pains that quickly come and go. The other main source of discomfort is my lower right back on my pelvis area right above the buttocks. It feels like this ache that I need to constantly massage to make it feel better.
the UTI is especially so if you feel pain around the groin area (sometimes very bad pain i must add), and the 'lump' itself is tender to the touch, not painful and shouldnt be too big. my doctor prescribed me antibiotics and pills for my UTI, and said that if the swell doesnt go down 2-3 weeks after the start of medication i will have to go for further checkup...hope this helps.
and a dull feeling of pain in the lower abdomen, lower back, or groin. Testicular cancer is most common in men between the ages of 20-34.
There is a lump under my skin on my bikini line right at the crease. There is no pain. Doesn't hurt to touch. There is no redness. Its about the size of a grape. I noticed it a few weeks ago. Any ideas on what this is? Should I see a doctor?
I WAS READIND THESE POST AND NO ONE EXCEPT YOU MENTIONED THE RIGHT GROIN PAIN. I HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM EXCEPT I HAVE PAIN IN MY LEFT GROIN AREAS AS WELL AS MY RIGHT GROINAREA. IT RUNS DOWN TO MY RIGHT FRONT KNEE AND THE UPPER BACK OF MY RIGHT LEG AND LOWER ACK. I HAVE HAD EPISOLES OF THESE PAINS FOR YEARS .I HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCE BOTH SIDES AT THE SAME TIME (THINK GOD). AT NIGHT I LAY AND I TOSS CAN'T GET ANY RELIEF IN THE DAY TIME ITS THE SAME THING I PUT OFF GOING TO THE DR.
I have not had sexual contact of any kind, i.e not even oral. The day before yesterday I felt a pea sized lump on the inside of my outer labia. It was uncomfortable but not painful as such. Today it has gotten bigger, and when i looked at it with a mirror it is on the outside of my labia as it is clearly visible by looking at it. if i push and pull it around (it is very painful to do so) it does move, and there appears to be a sort of white 'head' on it, though this 'head' is under the skin.
After I had finished reading the other post, I decided that I had held this long enough, when I took the cloth from the lump I noticed that there was a lot of brown puss coming from the lump. I am so glad that I found this site and that you all have had the same problem, being that I don't have any insurance I haven't been to the doctor for this. Now I am wondering how long it will be before the lump is completely gone since the puss has begun. Please help me.

At that time, I went to a urologist. He did a physical examination and said it was probibly a vericose vein and not to worry about it.
In jock itch there is a very intense itch and is associated with a red or pink rash involving the groin folds and genitals commonly seen in men. Moisture warmth, tight undergarments all can cause jock itch. The treatment is antifunglas. For exact diagnosis and treatment consult a dermatologist. Do write to me again with more queries. Best of luck!
As long as there is no pain or problem with sexual performance, men with a slightly curved penis should not be concerned. Some men develop a more serious bend in the penis that interferes with sexual function or causes pain. This occasionally happens after the penis is injured, either during intercourse or from a motor vehicle or industrial accident. In your case i think it was an injury to the penis, which on healing created a curve in the penis.
Those are questions for your doctor. You can look up "groin" in the dictionary (it is the area where your leg meets the front of your body). There is no realistic chance you have HIV. I have no further opinion or advice for you.
It feels soft and squidgy so nothing sinister but if i mess around with it too long i gat a pain in my groin and back similar to if i was kicked in them (you blokes know the feeling!). Is it normal to have this and is the pain from messing for too long? I had a ultrasound five months ago about a lump i found but turned out to be a varicole and ever since then feel paranoid and have a urge to check everything, the only problem is i dont know what is normal and abnormal.
Of course being the hypochondriac that I am, I assumed that the itchy area next to my penis was penis cancer. But then again, there's no noticable lump or bump in that area and if there is, I can't feel it. Every now and then I get this itchy feeling and I get the urge to scratch it. I scratch it for a little bit which really feels good and then it goes away for a while until it comes back. The intensity of the itch isn't THAT bad but it's still tempting for me to scratch it.
hello, are men supposed to check themselves each month? i went to a urologist this past may since i was having some groin pain. he checked my testes and said they were fine. he even did an cat scan of my lower region/lower back too and it was negative. i have done the self test in the past too, and they always feel the same. even the other day when i checked. my question is, i feel a layer around the testes (which from diagrams and info.

When in fact, we could of always had a little lump there. I had groin pain for about a week or two at one point.. and it freaked me out... I kept feeling around, and kept thinking I felt lumps... when in fact I beleive I was feeling little lymphnodes around there... the pain eventually left. The pain felt like I was getting kicked in the nads.. lol. Asked my dad if he's ever had that feelign before and he said "yes". Made me feel better.
This doesn't sound like epididymitis, which does not start with a "lump in the lower abdomen" that extends into the scrotum; and epididymitis involves the testicle itself. Severe pain (which presumably you would have mentioned) is the dominant symptom in sexually acquired epididymitis, and the swelling of the testicle usually is diffuse, not just a discrete lump. And most (but not all) sexually acquired epididiymitis is associated with symptomatic urethritis, i.e.

Most doctors aren't aware of this. Condition causes chronic scarring, plus formation in the underarm, groin or inner thigh areas. In women can also occur under the breasts. Please read this if you are suffering from any of the above symptoms. I had this for 10 years and just found out what it was. Right now I have a huge egg-like lump in my labia. I hate this and hopefully will go down or will have to make a doctor's visit again.
A "peanut sized" lump in the groin isn't necessarily abnormal; many people have lymph nodes they can feel in their groins. Armpit pain could have a hundred causes other than lymph node inflammation. A person's own assessment that his/her own lymph nodes are abnormal is very unreliable; only a trained health care provider can determine it with accuracy. Lumps in or under the skin in the location often are things other than lymph nodes.
Probably about 3-4 weeks after that incident I was running and post running I noticed a lump in my groin which started to throb. I thought it was just a torn muscle from doing something odd while running. So I went to the Dr. to get it looked it. He assumed I just tore something.. however at this time I hadn't developed other symptoms. A few days later I started to get muscle aches, especially in the neck, a very sore throat, some fevers, and just a general tiredness.
