hello was wondering what causes rib cage bones to pop out of place , ive went to the doc several times before and he has literilly poked a rib back into place. ive had rib cage tenderness, before and one doc stated that it may be arthritus of the rib cage . anyways ive went to him recently and ive been having pain on my left side of ribs more along the base line . from front to back or back to front how ever you look at it .

So Monday 16, 2016 I was playing soccer at soccer practice, and I was out playing goalie. When I went to dive for a ball I fell on my rib cage (You're suppose to do this to help break the fall) but this time it hutted and like shortness of breathe so I concluded its a rib fracture, Next day I went to doctor get a X-ray to show If id had a fracture, it turns out it wasn't a fracture.

I've been having terrible pain and pressure under the left side of my rib cage, also sometimes a soft squishy lump pops out where the pain is and I can push it back up. When I'm moving especially bending that "lump" I feel grinding underneath the rib.

I have an oval shaped lump near my left rib cage. It is about the size of a walnut. It does not hurt and I it is somewhat moveable. When lying down it sits on my lower left rib cage and is very definable but when I stand it is below the rib cage and hard to feel. Any ideas on what this could be?

It is on top of my rib cage while lying down but below my rib cage when standing. I am curious to what it could be. Some of the research I have done suggests a Lipoma (non cancerous "fatty tumor"). when i sit it feels worse. and ive noticed a lump or something just below my rib cage at first i was like oh its a floating rib . but i dont think that is the case . im wondering if it is possable it might be an enlarged spleen or maybe soemthing to do with my panceris . or maybe my kidney ? all i know is its very uncomfy at times . and sometimes it stops me in my tracks . sometimes it sharp stabbing and others its a dull nagging pain . anyone else with same symptoms ?

I have just noticed that my six yr old daughter has a large lump or possibly her rib cage is protruding on her left side, near the bottom of her rib cage. I am going to be contacting my family doctor soon, but does anyone have any possible answers in the meantime?

I recently went to the doctor because of some pain I was having on the right half of my rib cage and my back. I was diagnosed with costochondritis (inflammation of the cartilage in the rib cage, caused by sever coughing, getting hit, even laughing) and I was put on a steroid to reduce the swelling. i was diagnosed with mild scoliois 3 years ago...an since then i have a twisted rib cage. i went to see a spinal specialist in may and he wasnt interested in my ribs an he didnt know who could deal with it... nobody else seems to know whats causing it.. my doctor says im a hot potato coz no-one wants to deal with it. it hurts alot an i have two very young children to look after ... im starting to debate negligence on the nhs part. plase some one help me.

GO TO THE DRS ! My sister had bleeding from nipple & ignored it. She has now had a mastectomy & reconstructive surgery to bring a muscle up under her rib cage to put a pec muscle back. Please don't ignore it !

Several days ago I was just laying in bed working on my laptop and all of a sudden I got a very sharp pain under my lower right side rib cage (not my rib cage itself but just behind the lower side of my right rib cage.) and at the same time a sharp pain in the upper backside of my right forearm (not my shoulder or anywhere near my upper arm) about 4 inches from my right wrist.

Hi everyone my first post. Just out of nowhere I got really sharp horrible pain on my right side and the front just underneath my right rib cage I couldn't actually move but when I pushed it I never felt a lump or anything just felt a pop like I'd pushed something back in and the pain just left straight away. Any ideas what just happened?
