Lump behind mole

Common Questions and Answers about Lump behind mole

lump

Avatar n tn I've had this mole in the crease behind my ear for many years but never really knew what it looked like. A month ago I noticed a strange lump next to it and thought it was maybe a pimple, but its grown a lot so now I'm not sure. Ive been taking pictures to keep track and noticed that the mole has a red spot on the top left, and some other smaller ones if you look closely. Could this be skin cancer?
Avatar m tn I am a 49 year old male, currently under care for CRPS going on for 2 years, am disabled due to this. I have a mole behind left ear it is crusty bleeds and itches like mad sometimes. Also have a lump at the hairline aproxx 1 1/2 inches close to this mole it is hard and tender, has been there for a while now and is just now becoming tender to the touch, have lost weight about 24 lbs.
Avatar f tn Hello to everyone....I am really hoping to get some helpful advice and information.... I have a mole. It is about the size of a marble it is on the Left breast...upper/outer quadrant. I have had it ALL my life...passes down to ONE lucky female each generation...lol...anyway.... July 23, I noticed a lump had formed under the mole and extending outward into the breast not the armpit. The lump is obviously palpable....it is hard...I can not move it...nor can I squeeze it.
Avatar m tn The mole has NOT changed in shape, size, or color in the last 10 years. Recently I noticed a bump, fatty growth, under the mole. I can feel a small lump but its not hard. The color of the lump is regular skin color, no pain, no itch. I have gain weight in the last year and my cheeks and surrounding area seems fattier. I could be wrong but it lump was less noticeable when my face was not so fatty. I am confused because the mole I think passes the A,B,C,D rules.

Avatar f tn t seem to be a tissue scar cause it is dark brown and a raiser lump has occurred. Is this an indication of something? Can I get mole removal again using laser or excision or it would keep coming back? Thanks!
Avatar n tn Ok so, I found a pea sized lump inside my vagina, I also have this mole that keeps going away and coming back beside my clitoris, and I’ve been having irregular periods and spotting for 5-6 months.
Avatar n tn 3 months ago I had this thing on my buttcheek that felt like a bump/lump but unfortunately, it was so itchy so I picked it off without getting to see what it was. After picking whatever it was off it started to bleed and now it left behind a scabby looking dark patch that won't go away or heal. The top of it looks cloudy and grey like an infection that won't heal. I don't know what it is but looking at nodular melanoma pictures it looks like.
5152628 tn?1364370772 Hi, How are you? What other symptoms are present? Any lump or sore that does not heal or a mole that changes warrant further evaluation by your doctor for proper diagnosis. Additional diagnostic exams and tests may also be requested such as imaging tests. Risk factors include tobacco use, alcohol use, and human papillomavirus infection. Have this checked by your doctor to rule out malignancy and to ease any worries. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn It took a second to scratch off but there was no puss afterwards only a teeny bit of blood. I also noticed that the mole has a hard lump under it that is larger than the mole itself (also raises a bit of regular skin). I honestly cannot remember if this is something that has always been there or not. The mole is no bigger that a pencil eraser, is symmetrical, and has not changed in color and size besides what I have described. Does it sound cancerous?
Avatar f tn Hi I have a mole like lump on my ankle that grows previously I have had a child accidently knock it off my foot it bled but then has grown back and keeps getting bigger
Avatar n tn Hi It is difficult to exactly say as to what the lesion is, without an examination. A black bump on the chest can be a keloid, mole, birth mark, wart, abscess or some allergic eruption. Keloids occur in skin after surgical incisions, traumatic wounds, vaccination sites, burn injuries. Keloids often run in families. They most often on the chest, back, shoulders, and earlobes.
Avatar n tn Not sure when it started since it is only tender when I touch it. I have a brown mole that is on the neck under the area that may or may not be connected to the pain. On one side it is harder than the other. It feels like there might be a lump or swelling there as well. I don't have a sore throat or fever. Any ideas what it might be. I am going to contact my doctor tomorrow. What type of test should I ask for to be done.
Avatar n tn My question is, what should i do about this pigment left behind? Is there a chance that the pigment left behind from this 100% benign mole could turn into cancer? Should i have it "dug out"? My old derm doesnt take my new INS so i had to find a new derm, who cant get me in until the end of april (and that was the earliest i could find calling about 5 different derms!!) So im just looking for some info until then.
Avatar f tn then the squamous cell carcinomas - very agressive as are melanomas but also not a mole (mine was a innocent looking pink lump on my hand). For this reason, any lump, bump or lesion on the skin that changes, remains for a while and cannot be explained, should be checked. Although, like me, you wouldnt have been able to see yours either! I have no idea how long mine was there, didnt even know it was. Went to specialist as I was found to have a squamous cell carcinoma on my hand.
Avatar n tn Hi Lisa I had a mole removed on my leg 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately I got a really nasty infection in the wound and got strong antibiotics. Now I'm finishing a second course of antibiotics and the wound is still not looking very good. What worries me more is that I have a large lump under the scar. I've seen my doctor today and he said that if the lump doesn't go within a month I'll need another operation to remove it.
Avatar n tn i have small lump on top of my head had its for a very long time but now its getting bigger
Avatar m tn I did a silly think and was itching my back and picked a rough lump. It bled. Not sure if it was a mole/sking tag or whatever. If it heals I've been told that if it is melanoma that will now be hidden.
Avatar f tn So basically, I'm not a huge fan with my mole. So I scrapped it off and kept on taking it off. Now theirs a small lump that is my skin colour. Really don't want it to grow back but need to know if it will.
Avatar f tn I have had a small pea sized lump on my left outer labia-right next to the crease of where the inner thigh meets the vaginal area- for about a year. It's never been painful so I assumed it was just a mole--but recently it's turned red, looking similar to a pimple without the whitehead. I popped it and the only thing that came out was a little blood. I cleaned it with an alcohol pad. Now it is tender in the area. I have not been sexually active in years. What could it be? Thank you.
Avatar m tn It is possible that it will grow back. I know that my husband had a mole that he scratched off and it grew back and I had one on my arm I got a misquito bite on and I scratched it off and it grew back. I'm sure it has to do with the cells in that area having the pimintation and collegen qualities of a mole and when those cells replicate the mole comes back. It may not look the same, but that's why mole have to be surgically removed to get rid of instead of just scratched off.
Avatar f tn My doctor had said that shaving the mole would leave a lot of cells behind and that the mole could grow back (as has actually happened to this particular mole before). Do you think it is safe to just wait and watch the mole, or would you recommend a complete excision on a precancerous mole? I know the nose is not the best place to be having lots of tissue cut out. They didn't say what type of cells or the severity level of the cells that were seen.
Avatar f tn I have this little lump under my skin on the top left of my back. There's some hair growing around there too but only in this one spot. I'm 22 years old and have no idea what this could be. There's no break in the skin it looks like its under the skin. It's fairly firm but squishy and feels like a small pea.
Avatar n tn Recently a mole has developed at the base of my penis - in the pubic area. It seemed to grow pretty fast too. It looks like a standard mole, but I don't have any type or size of this mole anywhere else on my body. I am also noticing another one on the shaft of my penis. I fear it may develop into a big one like the other one. I know I should get them looked at but my main question is, is it possible to get a mole removed from the shaft of one's penis?
Avatar n tn I am sorry that you are worried that they will treat you like you are making a mountain out of a mole hill. But if that mole hill lump is turning into a big mountain of a problem then you have every right to assert yourself. I think sometimes that even being female seems to be a reason for some folks to assume things too quickly. Hey, can't you see a doctor who does not know you are a nurse?
Avatar m tn t have done this, but the the other day I was scratching and picking at a mole. I stopped, but the mole got crusty and smaller, and eventually just fell off. There was very little bleeding. However, I was wondering if scratching or picking at a mole makes it become cancerous in anyway. I'm getting checked out by a dermatologist but I'm just a little worried if picking a mole can cause it to become cancerous. Can someone help me out here? Thanks.
