Avatar n tn I've seen a small supernumary tooth behind the front teeth before. The patient just left it there. You couldn't see it from the front and it didn't effect the other teeth.
Avatar n tn I had 4 teeth removed but before the removal of the teeth the dentist started to clean and remove the plague behind the front teeth. While he was doing This I felt a very sharp pain behind my central lower teeth.Since then I have had a burning sensation and also a feeling that there is a lump or scab of some sort which my tounge constantly brushes against.X rays have shown up nothing and I was told the pain would go away.
Avatar m tn If your teeth have shifted so much that your front top teeth now go behind your lower teeth when you close your jaw, you need to get to a dentist for xrays ASAP. There's always a reason that teeth would shift that greatly. Only a dentist can help you find out why. Good luck and let us know how you do.
Avatar n tn Where did you hear that listerine and or hydrogen peroxide will increase your chances for oral cancer? I too have a small bump behind my lower teeth, I've had it for about a year now, seems to be getting slighly bigger each month. In addition, I also use hydrogen peroxide daily, listerine at times. My dentist told me hydrogen peroxide is fine to use daily, actually good for your oral health, as long as you use half peroxide and half water.
Avatar m tn My reason for posting, is that roughly a week and a half ago, I noticed a lump forming behind my front two teeth, on the roof of my mouth. It was a bit annoying, and I started to touch and press on it with my tongue. After a few days, the swelling showed up on the front of my gums, on my frenum (I believe that is the vein sort of line that runs between your two front teeth on your gums???). It is very noticeable on my gums now.
Avatar n tn But just lately my wisom teeth started growing out even more and the lower ones are impacted(epecially the one on the right side) , and I started feeling pressure behind my ears and most mornings when I wake up the lump behind my ear feels extra hard and slightly bigger, but throughout the day it goes down and the pressure goes away.
Avatar m tn About 4 years ago Dec 2011 to be exact i felt i had a lump behind my 2 front teeth went dentist they said I have some gum disease 1's and 2's mainly no mention of the lump, had a clean and said see you in 6 months.
Avatar n tn Does she have her two lower front teeth? maybe they are rubbing behind the new teeth where the tissue is tender and making it more tender? A lot of kids grind their teeth until they have teeth in the back for a good bite. The incisive papilla that the dentist was referring to is usually behind the two front teeth right in between them. Not usually behind one or the other. Does she get upset just because you are in there and she is having to be still or is she crying more if you touch it?
Avatar n tn Hello, I too have recently noticed fairly symmetrical white hard lumps approximately 4 teeth apart on the inner lower mouth, behind the bottom teeth. They appear to be rigid and fixed. As stated they are directly behind and below the same "set or pair" of teeth and just before the lower jaw is noticeable. I will be seeing a dentist of course, however is this something my primary care doctor should be looking at as well.
Avatar f tn My question is, is the left ovary located in the front, with the sigmoid colon running behind it, or is the left ovary and sigmoid colon side by side or is the left ovary located behind the sigmoid colon? The reason for this is because I can feel a lump in my lower left side, right where I think my left ovary is located, however, know that the sigmoid colon is located in this same area and so I'm trying to determine whether the lump is caused by my ovary or by my colon?
Avatar m tn They are just under the soft floor in front of the tounge and seem to be attatched to the gum/bone under my two front lower teeth. However I cannot see them as they are under the floor of my mouth, so I have only been able to feel them. What could this be? could it be dangerouse?
125112 tn?1217273862 Hello Doc, Ealier, I had written to you regarding what seemed like irritation to the roof of my mouth, just behind my top front teeth. This seemingly coming after drinking some hot soup. As it was, this did come after (time frame, not sure but not too far after) I had my front teeth drilled on. At any rate, I left it alone. The tenderness is pretty much always there but really, seems to come in "waves." Meaning, sometimes it feels worse.
645800 tn?1466860955 The one that gets me is why do my tori enflame? Those are those bones just behind your front teeth on the lower jaw. Every dentist looks in my mouth and goes on and on about my huge tori. Sometimes they feel normal and other times they are huge. All sorts of stuff comes and goes in our mouths - I hope your lump stays away - you have enough to worry about without picking up some new concerns.
Avatar f tn t have gingivitus and had my teeth cleaned 3 months ago when the hygienist remarked that my gums looked great except for some receeding near a permanent retainer on my bottom front teeth. All of a sudden my bottom gum on the backside below my front teeth is red, inflamed, and feels like it has a big swollen lump. My dentist says maybe some food got caught below the gum and tried to dig some out of there. This is excrutiatingly painful and making my whole lower jaw/teeth throb.
125112 tn?1217273862 First of all, will state that I have had issues pertaining to my hormones for quite some time. This will be looked into further. Anyway. A few months ago, I ate a corndog w/mustard and the next day, found behind my lower front teeth a thin layer of skin was removed. They've been tender since. Again, recently, another layer came off (newly formed one). It's sensitive. Just behind my upper front teeth is sensitive too.
Avatar m tn s pretty much their new location, I have accepted my lower front teeth will just be slightly off, at least the rest of my teeth look like they had braces. Could the movement of my teeth be caused by a lack of minerals or because of localized gum disease that I'm unaware of? What are some things I should be looking out for or watching to make a definite decision in terms of braces etc.
Avatar n tn I have a hard knot/lump on my lower right jaw bone behind my wisdom tooth which is still there. I noticed it yesterday and it makes it hard to close my mouth or eat on that side and it's painful. I just wanted to know if anyone might know what it could be. I have jaw pain from time to time which makes my wisdom tooth ache because I have TMJ, so my doctor told me last year. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

Avatar n tn Hi, I am a 20 year old male. I have had a hard lump behind my right ear for years now...at least 4 or 5. It feels like part of my skull but it is not on the left side of my head so i know that it's not. I asked my doctor about it when i was younger and he said it was a swollen lymph node and should go away at some point. It never did, however, it also never caused me any discomfort so i never got it looked at again.
Avatar m tn I have this small lump behind my left jaw line and under ear for almost 1 years now, it does feel pain and uncomfortable, I went the 2 different ENT doctors and did 2 CT scan, one with ink one without both report come out nothing....... but the small pain and feeling it still there also feel pain infront of my ear and inside mouth around jaw join but open or close jaw doen't feel pain. So should I try a different ENT again?? or can this be cancer?? what should I do now??
Avatar n tn This may or may not be related to the fact that your lower front teeth are on a higher plane than the back lower teeth and when you bite down, you may be having a deep overbite as well. All of these can make this situation worse, or even can create the situation, although it might have been caused by the cereal. Find a dentist who has this type of training and if no dentist in your area, email and someone will be able to help you find someone.
Avatar f tn t say the reason behind this.My husband say that I grind my teeth during night time. But all of sudden I have been gettiing this gap like in the month of May.Now everybody can observe this.I am so worrie dabout this. Can any one suggest me anything . Thanks in advance.
Avatar m tn 2 extra teeth, one upper front behind and one lower front. They haven't came out and my dentist did a X-Ray scan and she believes they won't come out. Also 2 upper wisdom tooth came out fine which she said I can keep them but the 2 bottom has impacted but has not erupted. When I feel my gum in the back I don't feel them but nor do I feel pain or any. My dentist told me according to the X-Rays, since is not causing pain at all that I should not worry.
Avatar n tn My lower jaw no longer wants to sit nicely behind my upper teeth. When I am relaxed or concentrating, I find my lower jaw 'automatically' sitting in the position of an underbite. For several hours after waking, I can't eat things which require the back teeth to be doing a lot of chewing, because they are not meeting correctly. It wears off as the day goes on, but it still feels forced to put my jaw back in position.
Avatar n tn I have a boney bump/growth on the lower inner part of my bottom left (front) gum right below one of my teeth but not totally in the well of the mouth floor. I am a FORMER long time snuff and alcohol user (quit both awhile back) and am very conscious (SCARED is a better word) of oral cancer but for some reason I haven't noticed this before. I have yearly dental exams/oral cancer screenings and would have assumed that he would have seen last visit.
