Lump behind ear toddler

Common Questions and Answers about Lump behind ear toddler

lump

I can not only see it but feel it also, so can my family members. He now has two lumps behind his left ear and one behind his right, took him to the doctors today and she said they are cysts. He is constantly grabbing at his ears. He was found to have no ear infections and the doctor just said he may just be a child that likes to play with his ears. I am concerned about all the lumps he has and the locations. Should I be concerned or trust that the doctors know what they are talking about?
it is almost similur to these but most them have neck pain and i don't have pain in my neck just the lump in back of my tongue not sure if it is a lump or not and the earache....
When I had EBV and it was winding down I became sick again with similiar symptoms but also with hives and my left ear lost its hearing suddenly. A well renouned ear Dr. did not even test the big lump behind my ear, aspirate it and test its contents NOTHING. My GP tested me for Mycoplasma and came up with M. penumoniae. We ran antibody tests for about two years and finally I had the antibodies to that.
It’s a tiny risk, greater if you are older, overweight, obese, or have reduced blood flow in your neck arteries, but it’s a risk you must assume if you want get rid of an otherwise untreatable sinus infection. There is a possibility that the infection could go into your ear, which happened to me once, but I found a way to avoid it. You could also accidentally rub infected snot into your eye and get an eye infection, if you are careless.
whenever I push on the ear that I had the stapedectomy done in -- like when you plug your ear so that you can't hear anything (but not putting my finger 'inside' the ear) -- when I take my finger away from my ear I get a quick dizzy sensation too! But I think it only has happened with the ear that I had surgery in. How wierd is that!
I read your story with interest. As a child I suffered from chronic ear infections and underwent 4 surgeries. As an adult, I've suffered from chronic sinusitis for several years. In 2004 I had my right maxillary sinus cleaned out only after I insisted. I am an RN and yes my x-rays were "fine" but my symptoms were not. I had severe pain and pressure into my teeth along with mild dizzyness, and severe post-nasal drip. After that surgery, the pain in my right maxillary was eliminated...
It seems to be worse lately and I've developed a lump on my back where it is always hurting. I have constant pain under my front left rib and right next to my left shoulder blade. I'm constantly scared because it also makes it hard to breathe. My doctor doesn't find anything and I don't have the financial means to find an answer. I'm told I'm just under alot of stress.
I have a lump on my underarm. It is not painful but it is ugly and it makes me very self conscious. When I got pregnant it really got big and filled with milk my doctor said it was breaast tissue that traveled into my armpit and that as long as it didn't hurt it really wasn't anything to worry about. It just looks like extra baggy skin and as a result I can't wear sleeveless tops. I've never known anyone else who has this to ask what they think or feel.
'06 and of course that was bc of ruptured petrusion and had another bone spur removed in my jaw around my ear), behind knees I suffer emmensly, and my Neuro. has found this venous angioma in my head(kind of creepy since I have my own disc and have seen it and it looks like a miniture snake in there...ohh) I am at my wits end...really have energy...can't slow down ...don't sleep but 2-4 hrs. a day..I think it would have to be hypo...instead of hyper...I don't know..
Amazing.....I am an OLD woman (59!) who just came home from the hospital. I had been diagnosed with high blood pressure and on a visit to a "clinic" to get medication. I mention the SAME pain above my left breast. He "freaked out", insisted on an ambulance, insisted this was a heart attack brought on by my "newly found" high blood pressure. Nine hours in the emergency room, needles, nitro, ekg's, admitted to a room, etc......
Since I am pregnant, I can't take ibuprophen or get x-rays so I really don't know what to do. I also have a toddler that I lift a lot so maybe that's causing it. Anyway, I'm not so happy that other people are having the same pain, but relieved to know that I'm not crazy. I don't think it's carple tunnel - I don't have any numbness in my hands - at least, not yet.
I'm 24 years old, and I'm so relieved to have found this thread. Ever since I was a baby or toddler I've been "rocking," and I didn't think there was a soul in the world I could relate to. My parents tell me that I broke two cribs with my violent headbanging and rocking (I would get on all fours, and rock back and forth, hitting my head against the crib and shaking the crib so much that the screws came loose).
It was you and a few other girls on the m/c forum that helped me through the darkest time of my life and from then I knew in my heart that I wanted to help other women, even if it was just an ear to listen or a goofy phrase to put a smile on their face, I knew I wanted to help. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me to get where i'm at today, I couldn't function without you either.
i have been feeling like i could pass out fequently for the las week or so but then i actually did so hopefully all is ok. apart from that i am still throwing up a few times a day and the kids have both had ear infections so all fun and games here. my hubby has gone to spain for 3 weeks and i miss him terribly i just dont know how you do it keeks. will he be around when the baby is born?? you are so good to be able to deal with not seeing him for a month - i am hopeless.
PS - I'm suffering as bad today as I have done in ages (I can barely look at the screen to type because of a corner in my eyeline behind the monitor). I mention this as I'm also full of a head cold and my eyes are "puffy" and I'm tired. In case that helps with other research.
Started in the left wrist, went to the left knee, then ankle, and the over to the right knee. Now it's been happening behind my right thigh for about 2 weeks. Very strange.
i must say ... dont punish ur child for this... theres a reason behind it weather medical or emotional ect... and this will just make things worse... causes low self esteem confidence ect... i make no big deal at all bout this issue... i dont want him to feel like hes ashamed ectt... ive spoke to him about it all calmly ectt.. we chat all the time and even had books that talk about poo and where the poo has to go ectt... i was told my son has constipation and build up...
ear N. i had the same surgery in 1990. I also had the same problem afterword,s too.it finally subsided about 1 to 2 year,s later,i know that,s not very encouraging ,but at least it went away.
I have an 8 year old male basset hound that has been just diagnosed with Cushing's. For a few years now he has had arthritis and hip problems as well as chronic ear infections but in reading about Cushing's, I'm now wondering if it was the gradual start of the disease. Recently, Muggs has been waking us up at 4am to go out to pee and drinks water like it is going out of style, even eating snow outside till he shivers!
About 2 months I woke up with an itchy corner of my left eye lid, I thought I had been bitten by something in the night as there seemed to be a bit of lump under the eyelid. Anyway as the days went on the redness, itchyness and soreness grew and spread on that eyelid. And then it went to the other eyelid. All the time I was putting some pure aloe vera gelly on it and also some vitamin E oil.

told me I don't need PT. But who knows this guy may be really good and cam make a silk purse out of a sows ear.. My home PT has helped my achillies an calf a bit but the ankle has no strength at all.
A cone beam ct scan revealed an inflammatory process in the sinus above the implant and apical periodontal inflammation on the tooth behind the implant which was also giving me night fevers. I have since had the root canal retreated on the tooth that was being blamed for my mouth discomfort.
I had to go to my acupuncturist and I was falling asleep behind the wheel... I really had to force myself to pay attention...
Here I am with 3 times my body weight in dogs, and they just trotted along beside or behind just as nice as you please. I always got such a kick out that! Particularly when King's dad gets dragged down the street when he tries to walk his own dog. LOL! It's all in the attitude.
going to the bathroom so much and crying when I felt it coming because my behind was so sore from the acidity of the diarrhea (because the bile acid in your system isnt being absorbed). A couple of things that helped me get through this phase is lots of baby diaper rash cream and Tucks pads (just tuck one between your cheeks for a little while and frequently...lol).
