Lump behind ear piercing

Common Questions and Answers about Lump behind ear piercing

lump

hello okay so i had this hard lump behind my ear that was painless and movable. I had it for a couple months but since i had just gotten my ear pierced and it got infected i thought maybe it was a swollen gland due to the infection in the piercing, so I took it out. It went down almost completely for about a week. and then i got like a zit inside my ear, and the lump is back. its really hard but its movable. I have a Dr. appt. this thursday but im just looking for some guidance.
the funny thing is it was less painful than the ear piercing! i had pierced my own ear like 10 times when i was young. it hurt like he((. i guess my friends would look for any reason to get together!
I also have these problems. I have a small lump behind each ear but the 1 behind the right ear is bigger. I am also getting headache, earache and have a sore throat. I went to the doctor 3 days ago and they said it was a throat infection and the lumps were just lymph nodes. I dont see how a throat infection would give me headache and earach. He gave me antibiotics but they dont seem to be helping. I am going back to the doctor tomorrow as I am very scared now.
i just now started getting these pains behind my ear too. im a 19 years old college student. i get a sharp pain behind my left ear. i counted it 12 times yesterday. its not an unbarable pain but its really wierd. if anyone has found out what it is please let me know.
I found a small hard lump behind my right ear last night. I did just get my ears pierced. I am thinking it is a lym. node reacting to the piercing. What do you think? Funny thing is the other side didn't do that and was recently pierced.
I have breathing strain... and a cough. I also have a sore throat. Behind my right ear is a lump... the doctor past it off as a lymph cluster.. but so casually. My left leg sometimes goes numbish and my right one even less... I get random headaches and pains in my head.. but i also have a really tight sore neck... The doctor wasnt worried... said i have a little excess fat and its not a problem... but if i wanna lose it cut down on the carbohidrates.(sp?) I have also had alot of the runs.
My problem in the left side of my head has come back after being silent for a short time in summer. I have pain sometimes under the ear, sometimes in or behind the ear. Temple pain has not occurred recently. The pain comes most often in early morning hours. I had also some congestion up in my nose, when I was in bed. Very viscous postnasal drip has slightly increeased. I have had postnasal drip for more than ten years. In the autumn I have had red flecks in mouth mucosa and sticky saliva.
I have had 2 cervical fushions and believe that my ear pain comes from my neck injury. I hurt in my ear behind my ear and in my face....I also have severe head aches that are one sided....Good luck to you...
For about a month now I have had this hard knot located behind my ear, its very, very sensitive. Also, I have noticed that I have been getting headaches frequently and its very hard for me to concentrate now. I don't know if that is because of the knot.. I have been researching seeing what this could be and all I have found is cyst or a tumor. So, please tell me what you think this is. I'm very worried, I am fifteen. I am planning to go to the doctor soon.
I only have these symptoms in my right ear, but they are not only on the ear they are behind it too in the groove where the ear attaches to the head. Anybody else having that? I have found a couple of things that seem to help, but like everyone else, no cure :-(. I have been using the Gold Bond lotion that fairly new. Its in a white bottle with a gold top, its like for extremely dry skin. That has worked well in helping with the redness and itching.
I also have a small, hard, and painless lump behind my left ear which has been there for over a year. I am trying not to worry, but it's difficult when you consider the possibilities. I'm glad I found this forum and would welcome anyones comments.
I found a round area about the size of a half dollar behind my ear that was red with blisters. My first symptom was a stiff, swollen neck. I was actually relieved when the doctor said he thought it was shingles. He prescribed two types of antibiotics and a pain reliever. The outbreak never got any bigger on the outside, but I have been itching all over my entire body. I don't know that this isn't my mind messing with me, but I've been taking benedril (sp?) and it seems to help.
It works it's way down to the back of my left ear where the ear canals are. My brain on the top of my head feels like it's going to pop out and up, if they helps any to describe it. My jaws hurt. The bones in my face hurt near my nose. A few weeks ago I was in so much pain, my sister had to call the ambulance to come get me. I thought maybe a migraine. The doctor told me no it wasn't a migraine and my CT Scan was normal. All I know is I am in constant pain and no one can tell me why.
I have a lump on my underarm. It is not painful but it is ugly and it makes me very self conscious. When I got pregnant it really got big and filled with milk my doctor said it was breaast tissue that traveled into my armpit and that as long as it didn't hurt it really wasn't anything to worry about. It just looks like extra baggy skin and as a result I can't wear sleeveless tops. I've never known anyone else who has this to ask what they think or feel.
Now I have developed a severe allergy in my sinus, with the tubes plug and water on one ear. No one can tell me what I am allergic to. I read many people having the idea of allergies to titanium and I have read that the medical community say it not possible. The last two night I have had a temperature of 101, that comes and goes.

stinky belly button can result from an imbalance in body chemistry. try cleansing your belly button with a q-tip dipped in tea tree oil twice a day for a week... it's great for clearing up bacteria and fungus and will likely resolve it. good luck!
I had several doctors scare me before and finally after reading about someone elses positive experience at the center for Colorectal Health ...well, i made my appt and that was that. I am so happy that big lump is gone and it was soo sooo easy! Don't wait!
After the tests came back, they said I had a hernia from my stomach that protruded through the diaphragm into the chest cavity behind my heart and was pressing on a nerve around my heart and that was what was causing my pain. All I know is that every time I have a gas problem, I get that pain again in the upper left side of my chest. It usually moves to my left arm then around to my upper back. It makes it very hard to sleep.
I had a little larger then pea size lump in breast, i didnt think it was anything serious only because it would come and go but, there was pain was in both breasts. Actually the lump in breast felt like when i had breastfed and would get a plugged milk duct (burning and very sensitive).
Some days are better then others with the whole ear ringing, dizzy, head-too-heavy feeling but for the most part, I get pretty depressed and regret ever having the surgery. Has anyone else had these feelings?

So far there has been no answer, they're several days behind in posting answers. I assume someone on our old thread had asked them (MedHelp drs) before, but i figured it couldn't hurt to try again.
