A lot of people say it looks like one of those birds with the puffed out chest. The rock is at the upper and middle part of my sternum I think. And when I poke at it long enough it relieves minor amounts of pressure I couldn't feel till they were released. can anyone help to let me know what it might be??
My 7 yr old son has a very hard lump at the end of his clavicle (throat end) that is painless and only moves slightly when manipulated. Any ideas on what this could be?
Hello, I have this lump below my collarbone (more below my shoulder), in the corner where the collarbone and shoulder bone meet. It's very small (small pea), round, smooth, and very movable. It has been there for at least 3 years and the doctor told me it was not a tumor (did not do tests just a physical). I was just wondering what could make a lump like that in that area!? I have never injured my shoulder and the lump doesn't hurt. I am a 24 female.

Got up the wrong way one morning, and twisted my left shoulder. Developed a lump on the collarbone after this happened. Went for x-rays, and was told it was spasmodic torticollis, calcification on tendon, Arthritis, Tendonitis. The pain is horrible, and its all in the left shoulder as the lump is located right in the same place. They did not see a dislocation, but the lump seems to be like something is dislocated. Nobody has answers.
About a year ago, I noticed a very small lump on my left collarbone, almost like a seed. It grew big enough to the point my boyfriend noticed it. No color to it and no pain at the time. It's slow has grown since. About 3 days ago, I noticed it has gotten bigger, the size of a pea, very painfu along my shoulder and some discomfort when I move my head or shoulder. I have no insurance and like to have an idea of what this could be before I jump to conclusions.
Hello, I have a lump above the collarbone on the right side of my neck and I have no idea to what it is. I have no idea to how long I have had it because it disapears when I look down and when I look up its visible. Its the size of an olive and doesn't hurt when I touch it (not soft). I recently had a blood test a month ago, tested on my common nosebleeds and the results came back all clear. So unless in a month I have developed some form of a cancer I don't know what it is.
Found pea size lump, changes in size, year half ago. Sometimes feel tired, sweat at night, not drenching, no weight loss, feel swelling and pins needles behind knees and calves. Cough about 3-4 months, feel something in throat when swallow, not always though. Pea size hard boney lump feels like its attached to front bottom part of chin underneath. Noticed redness and white patches back of throat, no pain, small white pimple spots inner cheeks and constant ulcers bottom lip and tongue.
I have a pea-size lump about 2 inches above my collarbone and to the right of center on my neck. It is wedged between 2 muscles, and it is very movable. I had it checked by my GP, who told me that in her opinion it was most likely a little cyst, and not to worry about it unless it grew in size.
Feels like a lump at the end of the collarbone. I had pain for a few weeks, and then this swelling just popped up along the way. I am seeing my doctor on Tuesday for a follow-up for other things, and plan to ask her what she thinks. I am getting a little concerned, and wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
A few days later, I felt no pain whatsoever and my clavicle seemed to have been reduced by itself as there was no lump at all. A couple of days later while my arm was raised with my index finger pointed slighty up towards the sky (I was giving directions) I suddenly felt the sharp pain I had felt the first time while lying on the bed!! Just like that! I reach to feel my collar bone, and to my surprise, it was out! the lump was there again!
I noticed on the left side of my neck above my collarbone I have a dime size lump. Its sore to the touch and when I'm not touching it. It like appeared over night. I noticed it and got in a shock of panic. My boyfriend won't touch it to help me find out if its something that needs to be checked. We only have one car and he uses that to get to and from work. Should I go to the ER? Should I wait a few days to see if it goes away? Should I find a doctor associated with that?

It's located right between his collarbone and ear. It's not a hard lump, but soft to the touch. (For example, the way it feels when you press on a vein on your hand.) It's about the size of a dime, and he flinches when I touch it. Otherwise, he doesn't seem to notice it, and he's acting normal. I'm going to try to get a doctor appointment tomorrow. I have a nurse friend, and she looked at it. She didn't know what it was, but said it definitely looked abnormal. Any ideas on what this might be?
Hi I have a lump just above my collarbone on the right side, the dr has just given me a referral for a ultrasound with fine needle biopsy if needed. He said its my thyroid. I do have a multi nodular goitre and am supposed to get it ultrasounded every 12 months and due to the last 16 months of being tested for ms I haven't done this. Now I'm worried this lump may be cancer, he wrote on the form a firm lump, but to me it feels soft.
I'm 34, no history of cancer in my immediate family. I have had lumps in my armpits quite often, but not at the present. Once had some under my earlobe. Hi, i'm 21 years old and I've recently discovered a lump on my left breast bone. It hurts a little when I press on it, and the pain sometimes radiates to my collarbone and shoulders. The pain comes and goes really, and does not disturb my daily activities. Could I be suffering from costochondritis? I remember a couple weeks ago hearing a popping sound near my ribcage when lifting boxes, so maybe that is what is causing the pain?

Are they saying the calcium deposits they see is the lump on the collarbone or what. I did have a PTH done numerous times, and it indicated that I have Parathyroid Disease. I have a 15 year old that has a painless lump on his chest midway between his right nipple and collarbone. The lump has been getting larger. At the present time it is just a noticable swelling about the size of a half dollar. There are no other symptoms and he is an active child. What could it be and what kind of physician should he see?
In addition to this, I found a small lump in my neck (pea size, maybe smaller), around 2-3 inches above my collarbone, near the centre of the neck, but slightly to the left. The lump appears to only be attached to the skin above it, as I can pinch the skin around it and move it around freely. After doing quite a bit of research on the internet, I have left myself very worried about potential conditions I could possibly have, including cancers such as thyroid cancer and lymphoma.

These lymph nodes were located on the left side of my body only - my armpit, partway down my arm towards my elbow, the collarbone area, and right under the areola of my breast. I believe that some of the lymph nodes in my groin might also be enlarged as well. After a couple of weeks, they didnt go away, so I went to my doctor. She found another enlarged lymph node on the right side. She did some blood work and kept asking me if I injured my left side somehow.
To me they feel as though they move back and forth between my neck and the collarbone and at times have bunched together and get to be the size of a small apricot, flat, hard and oval shaped then back to the smaller size. Fine Needle Biospies were performed and no cancerous cells were found. My bloodwork is coming out normal as far as cell count and thyroid levels.
