Lump at collarbone

Common Questions and Answers about Lump at collarbone

lump

Got up the wrong way one morning, and twisted my left shoulder. Developed a lump on the collarbone after this happened. Went for x-rays, and was told it was spasmodic torticollis, calcification on tendon, Arthritis, Tendonitis. The pain is horrible, and its all in the left shoulder as the lump is located right in the same place. They did not see a dislocation, but the lump seems to be like something is dislocated. Nobody has answers.
Hello, I have this lump below my collarbone (more below my shoulder), in the corner where the collarbone and shoulder bone meet. It's very small (small pea), round, smooth, and very movable. It has been there for at least 3 years and the doctor told me it was not a tumor (did not do tests just a physical). I was just wondering what could make a lump like that in that area!? I have never injured my shoulder and the lump doesn't hurt. I am a 24 female.

About a year ago, I noticed a very small lump on my left collarbone, almost like a seed. It grew big enough to the point my boyfriend noticed it. No color to it and no pain at the time. It's slow has grown since. About 3 days ago, I noticed it has gotten bigger, the size of a pea, very painfu along my shoulder and some discomfort when I move my head or shoulder. I have no insurance and like to have an idea of what this could be before I jump to conclusions.
Hello, I have a lump above the collarbone on the right side of my neck and I have no idea to what it is. I have no idea to how long I have had it because it disapears when I look down and when I look up its visible. Its the size of an olive and doesn't hurt when I touch it (not soft). I recently had a blood test a month ago, tested on my common nosebleeds and the results came back all clear. So unless in a month I have developed some form of a cancer I don't know what it is.
Hello, I have a palpable lymph node above my left collarbone. It's the size of a pea but more oval than round. It has been there for at least 5 years and has not grown. It's very movable and soft under the skin. It's not really hard. I showed it to my doctor and he told me not to worry about it. But then I look on the internet and I see everywheres that lumps in that area are very serious. Should I go to another doctor about it?
Had chemo Aug-Dec, surgery Dec (lyphm and lump), rad feb-apr, med may -present, an enlarged lymph node appeared above my collarbone and there is no apparent infection, did anyone else have a similar situation? I am scared.
Yesterday my wife came and started massaging my shoulders and she felt a hard lump on the lower left side of my neck about 2 inches above my collarbone. It is something that would have been noticed by her before, not to mention the professional massage that I just had too. It is extremely painful!! Once she touched it, it suddenly bothers me a lot. I cannot strain myself or even talk in a loud voice because the pain from this little lump is so strong.
I have a pea-size lump about 2 inches above my collarbone and to the right of center on my neck. It is wedged between 2 muscles, and it is very movable. I had it checked by my GP, who told me that in her opinion it was most likely a little cyst, and not to worry about it unless it grew in size.
A few days after that I noticed I had a lump above my collarbone on one side of my neck. Can a thallium uptake scan or a cardiac ct scan with contrast temporarily make the thyroid swell? The swelling is not painful and is kind of rubbery - not rock hard, but it doesn't move.
Feeling very upset, I extended my arm on a counter and sort of gently manouvered my arm/shoulder/collarbone/peck/neck in a way while gently pressing on my collarbone near my chestbone with my other hand and suddenly it was back in place and no hard lump. A few minutes later after sitting down and getting up, I felt slight sharp pain again and the lump re-appeared. The following day I was yet a third doctor!! I am trying to get as many opinions as I can to make sure of what's wrong.
Feels like a lump at the end of the collarbone. I had pain for a few weeks, and then this swelling just popped up along the way. I am seeing my doctor on Tuesday for a follow-up for other things, and plan to ask her what she thinks. I am getting a little concerned, and wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
I think I have a lump in my throat. It is above where the collarbones meet and below my voice box. I am continually catching colds and now I am sure I can feel a lump there. I have a constant feeling of choking and feel the need to cough. I smoke and I am scared to death I have cancer. Can anyone give me any suggestions as to what this might be.
Found nickel sized lump late dec. Just below collarbone on right now it's golf ball sized and also have lump on lt elbow and left foot nickel sized. Hard and they don't move. Have had a lot if aches all down my left arm and kind of shooting pains through the breast. Some lowgrade fevers and night sweats- soaking.
Upon inspection I noticed an area the size of a half dollar on my skin that is red and very tender. It extends from the areola toward the collarbone. Underneath the skin there is a small lump that is about 1/2 inch across. When I pinch the same small area of the left breast I get only about 1/8 inch of just skin, so obviously something abnormal is going on just under the surface of the right breast.
my daughter did that when she was young never said anything.. she developed a lump on her collarbone and I took her in and too it was not painful.. they xrayed it and it was new bone growing where the fracture was. so hmmmm maybe this is your case. I wish you good luck!!!!!

I noticed on the left side of my neck above my collarbone I have a dime size lump. Its sore to the touch and when I'm not touching it. It like appeared over night. I noticed it and got in a shock of panic. My boyfriend won't touch it to help me find out if its something that needs to be checked. We only have one car and he uses that to get to and from work. Should I go to the ER? Should I wait a few days to see if it goes away? Should I find a doctor associated with that?
Has anyone ever heard of a 12 year old having a lump on the chest just below the collarbone from mono? My daughter just tested positive for mono but is asymptomatic other than tiredness when exercising (well, she had a small cold last week but it included nasal congestion, not just a sore throat like most mono).
It's located right between his collarbone and ear. It's not a hard lump, but soft to the touch. (For example, the way it feels when you press on a vein on your hand.) It's about the size of a dime, and he flinches when I touch it. Otherwise, he doesn't seem to notice it, and he's acting normal. I'm going to try to get a doctor appointment tomorrow. I have a nurse friend, and she looked at it. She didn't know what it was, but said it definitely looked abnormal. Any ideas on what this might be?
Hi, I'm 18 years old, and I have two small lumps in the very left side of my neck. One is the size of a pea, located about two inches above my collarbone. The other is directly above that (maybe half an inch above?), and it's much smaller, maybe half the size of the first. They both are pretty firm but also kind of movable, and they don't hurt unless I press hard I'm just really really worried... Are there lymph nodes in that area?
The doctor put me on birth control and I am still taking them. On October 2008, I had a small lump in my left breast and it was painful to touch. I had an ultrasound done but they could not see it with ultrasound; however, they could feel it with touch. So, they informed me that my breast is normal and it could be from drinking a lot of caffeine. Now, another small lump is felt next to it and the whole breast is painful. Each mass is about 1 cm.

I had an ultrasound done but they could not see it with ultrasound; however, they could feel it with touch. So, they informed me that my breast is normal and it could be from high caffeine intake. Now, another small lump is felt next to it and the whole breast is painful including the nipple. The pain sometimes is like stabbing pain or burning pain.
