Lump above right hip

Common Questions and Answers about Lump above right hip

lump

I have recently noticed a dent forming in my hip right above my buttox closer to my side than my spine. I've never ever had it in my life. I have gained a little weight recently, and I had a baby a year and a half ago. I recently started working out and my workout consist of a lot of leg lifts and pelvic tilts. Sometimes I have minor back pain, but I don't have very good posture and have had some slight pains throughout my lifetime, so I don't think that it has anything to do with it.
I have a pea-size lump about 2 inches above my collarbone and to the right of center on my neck. It is wedged between 2 muscles, and it is very movable. I had it checked by my GP, who told me that in her opinion it was most likely a little cyst, and not to worry about it unless it grew in size.
my 29 year old boyfriend is for the most part pretty healthly- but about 3 months ago out of no where he got a bad pain right above or right next to his right hip bone.. we were on our way to the hospital and the pain suddenly went away so he stubbornly decieded he was ok and wanted to go home. Anyway for the last 2 days he has had a bruised lump in the same spot. It was tender at first but is now gradually getting more and more painful. Does anybody know what this is.
Mostly my left thumb, arch of my left foot, and left shoulder. My spasms usually occur in my neck, back, and right thigh and right hip. So, I will definately give it a shot. Wonko - I have had the TN type pain, short burst of pain hit me in the face and then gone. Happened to me couple of times on the left side of the face, and then couple months later it struck me on the right side and down deep into the inside of my ear. I thought I had an ear infection, so i went to see the doc.
Last night I felt the twinge found a hard pea/bb sized lump that seems to be in or above the epididymis. It's hard to find but when I do that's where the twinge is coming from!! I can feel it when I touch it. I plan to see my primary care doc tomorrow but I wonder if anyone else has had this and what it was. Thanks, A little scared..
I have lower back pain as well as pain radiating into my right hip (as I have some sort of lump on my lower right side)urinary frequency and all my urine tests have come back normal. I have pressure on the right hand side of my abdomen and its sometimes hard to sit or ly down in certain positions as its uncomfortable. I have also been spot bleeding after sex and having alot of pelvic pain. I'm waiting for my ultrasound results. You should ask for a ultrasound and C.T scan to rule out cysts.
I have suffered from extreme stiffness and pain in my right hip for over 2 years now. I have difficulty sitting for any length of time and feel like I am sitting on a "lump" of sorts and it is painful. I play baseball and am a runner. The pain does not bother me when I am standing or even running,,,, it is excurciating with sitting especially... I have been looking into ischial tuberosity bursitis and think this may be the answer..
For sometime now ive had this lump on my lower right side of my stomach, just above my vagina and a little in from my hip bone.It has not been painful. Sometimes i experience sharps pains up my upper right side. Its not a soft lump, its rather hard..kind of like a muscle feeling? If that makes sense. When I stand up and look down the right side of my lower tummy is a little higher then my left.
I found a lump on my lower back on my spine above my hip on left side. It is under the skin. I have also been having migraines, cold symptoms, wheezing, tachicardia, dizziness, blurred vision. Do I have something to worry about? I also developed a swollen throat out of nowhere which the doc said was the cold, but I just don't feel right about all of this.
yesterday (aprox 30 to 35 hours ago) I was hit in the side of the head with a ladder, just above my right ear. The initial pain was relatively minimal perhaps equivalent to a decent bump on the head via walking into something at head height and hence i continued work without any concern. last night after work i started to get a mild but none the less somewhat disconcerting headache and noticed a small lump tender to touch above my ear.
I have this problem as well but it's above the right breast and in the right shoulder blade area. It feels like it goes right through from front to back. I first noticed it after I moved something extremely heavy, but it doesn't go away. I haven't had a mammogram in years and it's scary. And the stress in my life is almost crushing - I wake up hyperventilating, but it's been that way for years. This pain is relatively new.
My R arm is healing well, and the severe bruisie on my R hip area is going away. However there is a hard raised baseball sized lump above the bruise on my hip! No pain & until I checked a mirror & saw this lump, I wasn''t concerned,. What is it? Will it go away? It looks like a deformity on the side of my my upper R thigh.

I too have lower (very low, immediately above the lymph area) right quadrant pain that occassionally radiates up toward my right kidney (started when I was 16... I am now 30). I can point to the exact spot where the pain originates (about the size of a quarter). My right leg used to ache so badly I would be in tears. Nothing allieviated that pain! I don't get that as much now though. I must admit I had many serious flu episodes as a teen.
After one week it had virtually gone, though I have had tiny spots of blood since, but only when I've had diahorea (once or twice), however this has not occured for a couple of weeks now. 2. Hip/Groin/Back Pain : This began at the same time as the blood and diahorea. The pain is a sort of dull/mild uncomftable feeling in sometimes my buttock or lower back, sometimes in my groin and sometimes it feels deep in my hip.
You should feel around the incision area to make sure no new lumps have formed. If you feel a lump which is growing in size, report back to the hospital. A lump which doesn't increase in size is normal, this will be the angioseal. If you see any swelling in the leg or foot, feel any pins/needles in the limb then also report to the hospital. When I left the hospital (24 hours after procedure), they drew a line around my bruising.
I really feel like it is my liver. When I lay down at night if I lay on my right side, I feel like I am laying on a lump! I have even caught myself checking to make sure I didn't leave a sock in the sheets. Life goes on..... Guess I will find out when the time comes and I have to go to the emergency room!
Realy no answer till my second MRI that stated that I had Osteoarthritis in my right hip and Spine. No realy relief of pain with oa treatment to my right hip. But big news my Dr. just told me that he thinks I have PIRFORMIS SYNDROM. Look it up on the internet and you would be suprised at how much it sounds like our pain. Not so good news it that it is really hard to treat. I'll keep you informed of what my pain Dr. thinks of this diagnoses.

My husband, age 34, has had a lump on the lower side of his right testicle for at least 10 years now. It has bothered him from time to time, but not very painful. He has seen 2 different doctors, both of which have either said "keep an eye on it" and/or "it's just a cyst...don't worry".

I also have sore spots on my right hip, in the middle of my right buttock and along my spine. Still have some burning sensations, some short sharp pains, and sometimes I have discomfort above the waist on the right. I have no nausea or problems eating. Occasionally I have some loose bowels and constipation maybe a couple times a week. Otherwise bowels movements seem to be normal every morning. I have had these pains about every 2 years since 2003.
I am under a lot of stress and someone mentioned Lymph Node overload? At times the lump feels like a few little lumps and other times as one larger lump (about the size of half a grape). Does anyone know what this could be? I was also born with rheumatoid Arthritis if that helps. I am 29, female and have one child.
now for the past few days I have had a shooting, kind of cramp-like pain in the right side of my lower abdomen--just above my hip bone and a little below and above that. When it hits me, it hurts really bad, but it is not constant and not lasting all day long...seems to hit me when I'm moving around a lot. I don't think it is appendicitis since it's not getting worse and it's not constant.
-- Is your lump large and right ontop of your rib? I had a tumor removed from my right breast which was benign and this is so different. But I'm going to a Surgeon the 23rd of May and he's gonna remove it and send it to pathology. I would make sure that you have yours done the same.
For the last couple of months, I've noticed a lump a little north of the right side of my pelvic bone. It doesn't hurt, and when I got this checked with a doctor who asked me to cough, since this buldged and grew when I coughed, he diagnosed it as hernia. This relived me for a little while, but I'm now more concerned with the vein-like growth which extends from the middle of my pubic bone all the way to my hip bone.
Pain killers actually do NOT take the pain away and its miserable for years now, finally after 2 yrs new symptoms have came into play and it almost seems as if something is just attacking the whole right side of my body?
last four days I have been limping more and more. My right leg hurts, especially above the heel, the tendons. It feels like I pulled something but I haven't. Does anyone have that? It's also kinda hard because everyone around you thinks it's all from stress, etc. I have to keep my complaints to a minimum with my wife pregnant. She needs as little stress as possible and when I whine it definitely stresses her out. She think I'm fine and is keeping a positive attitude.

It can be both dull or sharp. Sometimes I even feel pain much lower, just above the hip. Sometimes (I swear) I even feel it in my right shoulder or bicep of my right arm. I first noticed this situation two years ago and aggressively pursued a diagnosis with doctors. I had ultrasound and an endoscopy, as well as a series of blood tests. All came back negative for anything serious. The diagnosis at the time was Irritible Bowel Syndrome, something I didn't agree with, but could prove otherwise.
A few days ago I noticed a sore, reddish swollen lump on my left inner thigh, right along my bikini line. It has since gotten larger (about the size of a nickel, and more elongated now). It only feels sore if I press on it or rub against it. It seems like a soft lump that moves around with the skin. Last night I applied a warm washcloth to it for about 30 minutes, which made it feel better. Could this be a swollen lymph node, or maybe an ingrown hair?
