I'm a 29 years old healthy male, I exercise daily and have never had any serious condition. Around 10 days ago, I noticed a small lump in the right side of the my neck, on the underside of my jaw above my adam's apple. I believe it's actually a lymph node, but I can't tell for sure. A few days ago, it was noticeably larger than it is now. Right now, I'd say its size is 3 or 4 mm, while a couple of days ago was 6 or 7 mm.
Hello. I've been struggling with some issues for over 3-4 months. To begin with, I have several swellings near and above my adam's apple. One of them is very hard and pea sized. It is located 1 cm right to the adam's apple. I think it's on my thryoid or something but I'm not sure. It goes up and down a little bit when I swallow. The other one is above the apple and a little bit softer than the other. Another thing is, I have whiteness all over my mouth.

I have had these for 8 months that I know of. They. Old just be normal sized I don't know this is what I'm wanting to know. Is it possible too feel your unswollen submandibular glands?

Hi. That lump you described can be a lymph node, which is normally found in that area, and which may be palpable in thin people. Neck nodes may also become enlarged and prominent due to a nearby infection or inflammation (example: recurrent sore throat, a chronic ear infection, or tooth decay). Another possibility is that the lump may be a thyroglossal duct cyst. This cyst usually appears in the middle of the neck above the thyroid cartilage (adam's apple).
I had a TT a week ago and developed a large bump about 1/2" above incision site. It is hard, solid feeling like a small rock and sensitive to touch. It stings b/c of the pressure my neck has on it. Ice packs make me comfortable but once ice wears off, then it stings again. It almost looks like a large adam's apple, however, it is not! I'm female and never had this before. Hello. I am a 15 year old male and I am very concerned right now. About a month and a half ago, i noticed a lump under my chin and above my adam's apple. I was concerned so I went to my doctor. He explained the whole thing about how lymph nodes work and stuff. He also said it doesn't have characteristics that should be a concern. It was not rough, it was pea sized, and round. He said it should go down in about 2 weeks.

I am a 49 year old woman who had a hemithyroidectomy 10 months ago because of a very large goitre. About 3 weeks ago while rubbing sunscreen on my neck I noticed a lump that I'd never felt before. It's just slightly to the right of my windpipe (the same side that had the goitre) and is about 2 cm big. At first I wondered if it was my adam's apple, but found it weird that I'd never felt it before.

Hi all-- I am a healthy 28 year old woman and has just discovered a lump near my Adam's apple. I went to a quick care and the dr said it looks like its thyroid related but obviously cannot diagnose me without an ultrasound. First of all, I am terrified its cancer cause its on just one side and doesn't hurt. Also I have been feeling like my collarbone,neck and shoulder on that side have been stiff. Is this related? I had an encounter exactly 7 weeks ago (Not sure if you would classify it as a risky one), I gave cunnilingus for a minute or two and I had an open sore. Then I had protected sex with her. Here are some of the stuff I have felt within the span of 7 weeks:
-Minor Headaches;
-Minor body aches;
-Lose of appetite;
-general feeling of weakness/fatigue;
-slight nausea and the feeling or urge of wanting to vomit.
-slight cough
All of these never lasted for a day.
I was diagnosed and with an epidermoid cyst on my neck. The PA injected a steroid to try and shrink it. The cyst never went away and appeared to stay large weeks after. I agreed to have surgical incision since it was on my neck above my Adam's apple and affected my swallowing/appearance. When they opened it up they realized it was ruptured inside. They cleaned it out the best they could and electro-cauterized remaining tissue that wouldn't come loose.
