Lump above elbow

Common Questions and Answers about Lump above elbow

lump

I have also had tendinitis that comes and goes away on it's own. My husband now has a lump on his elbow about the size of a marble, maybe a tiny bit bigger than a marble. I never heard of a lump forming due to tendinitis - would this be normal? The lump is hard and painful to him when I tried feeling the lump. I told him several times to call the doctor, but he thinks it's just tendinitis. Has anyone else also experienced a lump from tendinitis?
above my left elbow is swollen and there are several little lump it doesnt hurt but when i have my elbow bent i feel discomfort
Around the beginning of Summer, I noticed some type of lump/swelling on my inner elbow, right above the crease on the side closest to my body with palm facing up. My doctor said that it must be a hematoma and that I might have bumped it without noticing. After a several months, the swelling decreased and nearly disappeared, but it has recently come back. There is no discoloration and no lump can be felt beneath the skin when my arm is bent.
When I poke it, even slightly, it causes pain into the elbow! It's very superficial. I barely have to touch my armpit to find the lump. In other words, it't not deep in the armpit in the "hollow of the armpit. In fact, the lump feels like its right in the muscle of the armpit. The skin covering this bump also feels like a little swollen. Question TWO: Is one swollen lymph nodes = ARS? I hear that swollen lymph nodes can indicate HIV ARS.
I have a lump not visible only palpitated on the outside of my right bicep about 2 inches above the elbow. It feels kind of deep. It is kind of hard. I am not sure if it is mobile or immobile. I would say possibly a little bit mobile but again I am not sure. It is about the size of a marble or so. What could this be?
On my left arm, above my elbow, There is a lump kind of deep. It's not too large is size, but about the length of a small apple. It's painful and feels like it puts off a slight pressure. It's been bothering me for a while, and I'm starting to get pretty concerned about it. There is also a slight pain in about the same spot on my other arm also. I know I'm probably just sick on top of this, but I'm really feeling bad. Ahy help?

I tied something around my arm (mid way around elbow) and fell asleep like that for about 30 minutes then i realized i took it off and the next day above the elbow i had a l large bump that was very warm and the surrounding area was red and and bit swollen but everything above the elbow and nothing below.
The lump does not seem to be movable. Interestingly, when I raise my arm above my head, the lump becomes much less obvious to the touch, and when my arm is hanging at my side the lump seems to come back - almost as if the lump is related to vascular pressure. Also, if I rub the lump, I can almost massage it away, but then it comes right back within 30 seconds. There is no vein visible through the skin near the lump.
Hi. Since April I have had pain above my left breast. It's not constantly there, but it comes and goes. Sometimes it feels like a burning pain, other times it feels like a cramp. I've also felt it in my armpit at times and it will also creep up over my shoulder. Although I VERY RARELY feel it on the right side, it DOES happen once in awhile. But for the most part it's been my left side.
The weird thing is that I have also developed a lump on my upper outer right arm; about 3-4 inches above the elbow. This I just noticed about a month ago, but it has gotten bigger over time (now visible). My underarm lump HURTS!!! But the lump on my upper outer arm does not hurt. Have an appt Monday but gotta get thru the weekend-anyone have any similar experiences???
A long lump has appeared in the hollow of my elbow just above the radius bone and humerous. The pain seems to be all around the elbow joint and in the muscles both in my forearm and tricep areas. I am going to go for physio but any ideas what i could have done because its so sore.
My R arm is healing well, and the severe bruisie on my R hip area is going away. However there is a hard raised baseball sized lump above the bruise on my hip! No pain & until I checked a mirror & saw this lump, I wasn''t concerned,. What is it? Will it go away? It looks like a deformity on the side of my my upper R thigh.
It is located ubder my right arm around the mid-bicep area.Today I felt another one just above the elbow area on the same arm. Is this anything I should be concerned with or could this just be fatt deposits or could it be a sign of cancer of some sort? Would you suggest that I get a doctor to examine this or should I wait a few days, it has been the third day as of today. I do not have abnormal hair grow so I don't think it is from ingrown hair either, this is really starting to concern me.
The pain I described was a lump of pain or a ball of pain to the left and above my left nipple. My left tricep hurt from shoulder to elbow. And I had a ball or lump of pain in the palm of my left hand. I also had a dull pain from my clavicle to my molar on the left side. The pain lasted about 30 mins and then subsided. It recurred an hour later at 2.30 am. This time it lasted about 45 mins and I had to go to the toilet...
Hi, For the past 2 years or a little longer i have noticed i have a lump in the inside of each elbow joint as well as a lump in the same place in both my upper arms a little bit above it around the same place for both, they have not grow at all, nor sore to touch i can move the ones in my upper arms freely but the ones in my elbow joints not so much. I am a little scared about this thinking the worst. I have no other symptoms really. My Mother was diagonosed with rhomotid arthrtis a year ago.
I am 46 years old. Several months ago, a soft lump formed in the center plam of my right hand. It was about 0.25" circumference and is visible when my hand is open, and fingers stretched back. I can feel that it must be pushing on my tendons because I can feel a slight tension pain that radiates slightly beyond my elbow. I also feel pain when slight pressure is pressed on it. In the last couple months, it has gotten slightly smaller.
And if you have please come back and let us know what you found out. I too have a lump that I've recently found but its above my breast and closer to the center of my chest. Definitely feels like its on my rib - hurts to the touch and like someone else said, it actually feels like the pain extends to my back. I have shortness of breath - easy tasks now make me out of breath. Bizarre.
For the second time in the last two years, I have developed a lump in my arm. This one is about 1.5" across, just above my left elbow, palm up it is on the inside of my arm facing up. The other one started like this one and then got painful, then the muscle just went away. Now I have a divot the same size the lump was, on my right arm, just below the elbow, palm up on the inside of the arm. What could be causing this?
I have pea sized lump( maybe a bit smaller that a pea) just above my elbow (going towards my triceps). The lump is movable when I press it. So if I press it on one end it kinda slips and moves towards the other end. My doctor thinks that its hard to tell if its a lymph node or a tendon. She said that I should come back if it grows. My question is that if it grows does that necessarily mean its bad or not benign ? Its been just two days since I met my doctor and I don't think it has grown at all.
Generally following the RICE treatment is enough—Rest the elbow, Ice-apply ice pack, Compress with the help of an elastic bandage and Elevate the elbow above the level of your heart. If this does not help then cortisone injections are given. Surgery to remove the bursa is the last choice. Please consult an orthopedic specialist. Other possibility is a pinched nerve, Nerve conduction studies are diagnostic. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
I have a dull pain above my right breast. There is also a sharp pain at the point of my left shoulder blade. Finally, my armpit hurts (there's no lump) and there's a cool sensation (that is also painful) running down the inside of my left arm, to the elbow. I don't know where to start to try to figure out what this might be or what kind of doctor to look for. I don't have a primary care physician to ask, because I just moved to the area where I live. Can you make any suggestions?
I have what feels like a swollen node on my left side. It's on my ribs just above where my elbow touches my side. It's about 1.5 inches long and half as wide. It's been there for a year or more. It's easy to see and fairly hard. It is not painful. Is this a swollen lymph node? Should I worry about it?

If the swellings are epitrochlear lymph nodes then this is usually a sign of localized infections or allergy or dermatitis, lymphoma, sarcoidosis, secondary syphilis.

This can cause a lump at times along with redness. If you have a lump and the pulsing is in the area of the lump, ten it could be a cyst or an abscess. You should get the blood levels of the following checked if they have not already been checked: potassium, calcium, sodium, vitamin B complex, or vitamins B1, B3, or B6 and Vitamin D. Generally deficiencies of any of the above can cause muscle twitching and spasms in localized or generalized areas of the body.
up high on the gum well above the tooth is a pressure sensitive area that is also raised, like a big dul lump. years ago i took an elbow to the tooth/crown playing basketball and it loosened the tooth. I never fixed it but it firmed back up and no pain. i have always had this raised boney like area high on the gum and i just figured it's normal for a crown and post to create a raised area on the gum. I assumed it wasn't an infection because it didn't smell or hurt.
