Lumigan is a glaucoma medication that is put directly on the eye. Latisse is the same medication, different packaging for eyelash growth and it is painted on the eyelashes with a brush.
I suppose the study that was completed 12/31/09 for growing eyelashes was only done on upper lid eyelashes.
Then that's all that the FDA will allow them to say.

By the way, if you use pills, your MD (I doubt) will agree, because the drug is not concentrated in the eye, plus you have "systemic" side effects because the drug is running through your body (rather than staying mostly in the eye). Xalatan, and the others that are similar lower IOP more than other drug classes...you need to ask what your IOP is and see that it stays in the healthy range, since glaucoma damage can be permanent. However...
Many generics are not nearly as good as the brand names. For instance brominidine is not nearly as good as the glaucoma drop Alphagan-P but there are many that work as good as brand names. latanoprost is one of them. There are over 20 companies that make latanoprost. Studys have shown that some are underfilled and some produce drops that are so large that the bottle will not last the expected 6 weeks.
Heart arrhythmia including PVCs is not likely due to Lumigan or the two other medications in that family (Travatan-Z and latanoprost). They are not listed in the drug prescribing literature. I have several thousand patients on these medication and only have one patient in many years that complained of heart beat problems HOWEVER when we changed to a different type of medication (different class of glaucoma medications at present there are 4 classes) the problem stopped.
If you still have it read the package insert that you get when you get a new bottle of medicine. Or go on the internet and read the side effects. I would be worried about being under the care of anyone that did not recognize these as common problems. If you see an optometrist I would suggest switching to an Eye MD ophthalmologist, if you see an ophthalmologist I would suggest getting a second or third opinion from a different Eye MD perhaps one that specializes in glaucoma.
Azopt is a great medicine but sometimes expensive. Lumigan I really dislike because it causes red, inflammed, irritated eye, permanent dark circles around the eyelids and orbital fat atrophy with sunken in eyes and droopy lids way too often. Travatan-A is much better, longer acting, lowers IOP more and doesn't cause near the side effects of Lumigan.
Alphagan P is a wonderful medicine and there are hundreds of thousands of people that use it. It is a glaucoma medication and sometimes used for people with lasik or IOLs that have trouble with night vision. The most common side effect is redness and irritation which occurs in perhaps 6%. It clears in a few days. It should have no permanent effect on your vision. Any reduced vision would need to be caused by something else.
Since your panic attacks are happening less, are the headaches numerous and a reason that you cannot take the medication anymore? Or are some of the side effects okay with you now that your anxiety is much better?
What does your prescribing doctor say about this? Headaches can also be caused by an endless number of factors in my opinon. Are you getting enough sleep? Are you still under a lot of stress? The point is, that the headaches may not even be related to the medication itself.

How are you? Medication side effects may or may not occur to patients. You were given pain medication, anti-inflammatory, antihistamine and antipsychotic/tranqulizer. You may experience gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting and sedative effects. However, it is important that any sign of allergic reaction such as difficulty of breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. twitching or tremor will warrant immediate attention.
