Do you think its the disks getting worse or just the result of me feeling the pain a lot worse now that I quit taking pain meds. I spoke with my Dr. and he said they could put me back on the pain killers at a lower dose but trying not to go back down that road.
Hello! The most common reason of lower back and associated lower leg pains are involvement of spine at the lumbar region. X-ray followed by MRI should be done and opinion should be taken from a neurologist or an orthopedician to rule out any problem. Also recollect any fall, accident or injury during the vacation time or just before that which is causing this.
I have been seeing a chiropractor for a couple of weeks now for muscle spasms (I think) in my mid-lower back. They started at least 6 months ago but they only occur when I am sleeping and the first few hours after waking. I have tried different beds and various positions. Sometimes I can get relief by putting a pillow roll behind my neck and moving my hips down until I can feel a good stretch in my spine. This is no longer working. I am going for an x-ray but I need some sleep.
im no back expert but i believe that because of my 'bad' sleeping, my back has perhaps overarched and now when i try to sleep normal this pain is because it is trying to force my back back into a normal position its not used to? i was recommended to take a break from football and see if it heals, i stopped for 1 month, i tried last night and the same thing happend.
I've tried everything, highering my pillows, lowering pillows the way I sleep but no hope, Once I wake with it I'm up for day as if I go back to bed with in half hour it's back, I do shift work and on nights it's causing me problems as I'm not getting enough sleep then I'm struggling through work does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with my back.......
Hi, About a week and a half ago I started to have pain and tightness in my lower back (small of my back, directly to the left of my spine) this pain seems to radiate to both my testicles. There are no bumps or growths on either one of my testicles. The pain is intermittent and sitting down is when the pain in the small of my back starts and radiates to my testicles.
It is on my right side, also I have some minor abdominal pain ( I beleive it is stretching, I remeber this with my first child) I have to go from sleeping from right to left side if I sleep to long on one side my hips hurt and that horrible pain in my lower back comes about when turning in my bed! I believe all of this is completley normal Good luck and Hang in there! When is your due date?
I had an MRI that showed no significant changes; it came back normal. The pain is in my lower back, and sometimes in both of my butt cheeks. The pain in my butt cheeks are like "pinching"; It hurts to sit, stand or lie down for long periods. I cannot even sleep on my stomach at all; I can only lie on my back if my knees are drawn up. So now I am left to sleep on my side, but for only short periods at a time; which leaves me tossing and turning all night, getting less sleep.
I think for you first and foremost you need to organize your days better and get more sleep. With any type of pain, lower and upper back pain included, sleep and a healthy diet can be essential. Additionally, try doing some yoga exercises for back pain, there's many on pinterest and youtube that you can find, also make sure to stretch once you wake up so that you don't strain your back during the day.
I have bee having ongoing lower back pain for sometime now; the pain is right at the top of my buttocks. It is so tender there it is unbelievable. If I stand for long periods, it hurts. If i lie down to long, it hurts. I can't sleep on my back or stomach at all. I sleep on my side, but that becomes uncomfortable. If I walk for long periods, I start to get sharp pains in my butt cheeks. I have had an MRI, but nothing showed. My dr.

For the past 6 weeks I have been experiencing lower back/abdomen pain. The pain eases immediately upon sitting down. I have been sleeping in a recliner for 6 weeks now as I cannot lie down without serious pain. I have also experienced pain in my groin/testicle region at times as well. I have made sereral trips to a Chiropractor, seen my family doctor, even had an MRI, and seen a Spine Specialist. My MRI shows a bad disc herniation at the T-10 area.
I lifteda heavy box about a week back and injured by back. I get this tingling painful sentation at the lower end on my back when I sit for long (ONE hour or more). Do you think bed rest would help? Any suggested exercises? I am trying to sleep on the floor with a pillow under the knees.
There are so many things that could be causing a stiff back in the morning. I have one if I sleep on a firm mattress. Unless you have pain at other times I doubt it is serious but I am not a physician. If it is troublesome to you please see your PCP. Best of luck to you.
I had an MRI done on my lower back and it came back that I have mild degenerative disc bulging at L4-5 with left posterolateral disc bulging prominence and annular mkargin tear. Can you explain this to me in words that I can understand? And what should I expect?

Hello, I have for a couple of weeks been having a little bit of pain in my lower back - not much that has worried me, I just thought I might have slept funny - until 3 days ago, when my back has gone into complete agony - i am finding it hard to even stand up, iv had a bit of a bug - had diahorea for a couple of days and now I feel completely worn out, but it feels like there is a certain point on my lower spine that whenever I touch it , it feels like an electric shock and this is where it is
I have had serious lower back pain for 8.5 months. I have been to 2 back specialists, ER, chiropractor, athletic therapist, physical therapist, and massage therapist; 2 MRIs, back x-rays and lab work done. The evidence does not correlate with the amount of pain that I am in most of the time. I no longer sleep all night nor do I sleep with my husband because the pain wakes me up. I get some relief with pain medication, warm bathes, and resting on my side; lying on my back intensifies the pain.

It has been about a week and I have been having a pain in my lower left back. I can not sleep on my left side due to the pain. It is not severe but noticably there. Also, for the past two months I have had a knot on my right foot. When pressing the knot I can feel it on my second toe. I did not know if the two health issues were related. My first thought was my back issue has to be kidney related and my foot cancer. But these are just assumptions. Thank you for your help.
