pain
Been dealing with pain in my lower back & hips due to not walking correctly since hurting my foot. Been using Naproxen and muscle relaxers for some time. Also been using physical therapy. What have you been doing to help deal with pain?
Im having SERIOUS lowerbackpain.. lets see if i can describe this and it make sence. Keep in mind im only 11 wks, so obviously not any type of labor pains. But it kind of feel like knots and a TIGHT feeling. I guess kind of like it needs to be popped. Ive tried "popping" my lower back, but its just not happening. It hurts the worst when i lay on my back and when i go from lying down to sitting up. Is there anything i can do or anyone would suggest? Ive tried ice and heat aslo.
I have lowerbackpain with painful knots at base of spine and thigh pain with burning between the hip and knee. There are painful knots all the way down the thigh area that deep rubbing will relieve only temporarily. The pain returns almost immediately with increased activity. It is mostly in my right hip and leg but the left side pain is not as severe. On a level of 1 to 10 the right side is almost always a 10.
Does anyone have palpable muscle knots on the lowerback. I have a squishy type nodule that is by my flank area over the lower lumbar region. The PT said its where the muscles meet and there seems to be a ball of muscle. I was wondering if these are trigger points? He has left the office for good and now I can't ask him more about it. I've been have leg pains and feathery/tickling like sensations on my calf muscles. Could this all be back related. (not shooting pain either).
After giving birth to my 2nd child, I had an MRI of my lower back to help determine the cause of low back pain. It showed a bulging disc and a herniated disc at L4-L5 and L5-S1. Underwent disc decompression and that corrected this. The pain was still there. My GP determined that the little fatty "knots" in my low back were back mice and began injecting them wtih lidocaine. This gave me temporary relief.
I'm still having pain and the back mice are still there.
s syndrome can cause back muscle spasms, especially in the lowerback and if it can cause diffuse backpain with the major pain generally in the lower back. The pain can move or perhaps just be more prominent in a different area, say my shoulder area or hip area. My hips have been x-rayed and are fine.
It always hurts when I get a massage and I always have knots.
I have stinging pains in my lower stomach, sharp sudden pains in left and right sides of my lowerback area. The more active I am the pain is more prevelant and urination is more restricted. Sometimes when I'm urinating the flow suddenly stops and most of the time it will start again. Periodically my penis has what seems to be lumps or knots in it. They told be I need to be on blood pressure medicine. No one seems to have a diagnosis or solution. Can you give me some direction? Thanks.
The Dr. examined me and told me that my neck, shoulders and back had so many knots in them that it was as if someone had fired a shotgun at it and everywhere the pellets hit a knot formed and grew. One he lovingly called Mount Everest. He told me, given my history these have been here for MANY years. In addition, my atlas is rotated and "kicked back", too.
I have two knots in my right leg below my knee. One in the lower leg muslce and the other on the interior right side of leg. No visible sign of knots but some pain when touched or rubbed.
I didnt noticed the backpain before, because the bladder pain was over-powering the backpain. He then said, "sounds like you have a pinched nerve in your lower back causing false signals to your bladder."
He said to just stretch, get massages etc. THIS FINALLY GOT BETTER. However, I still had some minor erection pain.
Then my lower back would cycle, it would come back, and one time even made my legs WEAK and JELLO LIKE when walking down stairs.

My 8 year old son had decompression surgery in Jan 08 and for the last 2 months has been
suffering from pain in his upper back, neck and shoulders. A physical therapist says he has large knots in his muscles. the therapy helps a little but his pain is constant.
Has anyone else had this experience after surgery?
Also he has short statue but his thyroid tests have come back normal.???
Any suggestions?
I have had a mammogram and doc says it is just muscle knots or lymph node inflammation. I have alot of trigger point pain in lowerback that I can not walk far at all sometimes. These have flares in both sites. I have always thought I was hypothyroid but blood test states no. Some of this stuff you have may be fibromyalgia. But the thyroid can cause major problems so stay on top of both. Good Luck to you!

They form contraction knots or myofascial trigger points-areas that if pressed causes pain. These taut muscles can occur in the gluteus maximus and adductor magnus muscles. The adductor magnus muscle trigger points when pressed can cause the pain to extend into the thighs and also the pelvic floor, so this might explain your occasional vaginal pain as well. Also this can cause painful intercourse as well.
I injured myself at work landing back on my ankle down a flight of metal warehouse stairs. Found out I fractured my fibula on left ankle. Now I'm having spasms in my lower back along with burning on my buttocks up at the top. It knots up in my back I can feel it from the surface.
Oh, yeah - my hubby can run his hand over my back and feel where the knots are. He tries to rub them out, but it only helps a little. When they're that bad, I have to resort to muscle relaxers - nothing else will help.
This all started with simple pains - nothing that I could pin down. There was three months of pain in my feet. Turns out it was the muscles on the bottoms of my feet, spasming. Then my sternum/esophagus spasms started up again.
No there were no initial testing done when I had the car accident. The hospital I was taken to didn't even do an xray when I had the car accident. I have been to the doctors several times since the car accident and have always been told it was just muscle spasms. The muscles on upper shoulders that attaches to the neck do stay stiff and rigid, was once told it was called "turtle neck". I have only had xrays up until this point.
I am thirteen and i have had terrible backpain. I have been to a chiropractor, physical therapy, and orthepedic doctors. I have had an mri and x-rays come back normal. I can crack my entire spine all the time. I get knots covering my back and neck. I have also dislocated both of my shoulders different times in the past three months. I know there is something wrong and i get bad headaches. It started 2 years ago and its gotten worse.
amongst my many symptoms I constantly have intense pain and knots all over my back and neck. I had recently had a massage as a birthday gift and i wanted to cry it was so painful. I could feel every knot she touched. Which also causes my muscles to become so tight and rigid they don’t relax,,,ever especially my right side and foot. I my fists clench up and i can’t bend and flex my toes on my right side. my foot basically just drags as i walk. any advice..thank you.
