low thyroid quiz

My free T4 came back low and my TSH is low as well. Started out with extremely low F T4 and after increasing my Synthroid 2 times it went up but then my TSH started going down, so I was on 75 for 3 days and 50 for 4 days and then both went down. I can't see an endocrinologist until the end of March. He is that busy....Anyone else have this happen?

Thank you for your help. I just took a diabetes symptom quiz and I do seem to have a lot of the symptoms. The thing is that my blood sugar has always been in the normal range. I took a type 2 diabetes risk quiz and got a score of 0 (very low risk), so I'm guessing I'm more likely to have type 1? But type 1 usually starts before age 20 doesn't it? Unfortunately, getting labs done could take a while...

This results in ranges that are very skewed to the low end. The ranges do not really represent healthy adults with no thyroid pathology. That is why we see info such as this quote from a good thyroid doctor. "The free T3 is not as helpful in untreated persons as the free T4 because in the light of a rather low FT4 the body will convert more T4 to T3 to maintain thyroid effect as well as is possible. So the person with a rather low FT4 and high-in-range FT3 may still be hypothyroid.

i called my surgeon's office to set up surgery...and the woman who answered asked me if i had had my thyroid functioning test(s) done yet. i'm confused. i've had my right lobe removed (papillary cancer) and am going in for a TT...so "why" would i need a thyroid functioning test? i told her to have the surgeon call me.................................

There are actually little quizes online that are fun to take. Just Google 'what is the sex of my baby quiz' and you'll get lots of them. Obviously, all of them are based on old wives tales but they are fun to take. Coincidentally, every one I took said I was gonna have a girl and I am in fact having another little girl. So Maybe there is some truth to the wives tales after all. Lol.,.

Be aware that being an Endo doesn't guarantee a good thyroid doctor. Many of them specialize in diabetes, not thyroid. Many of them also have the "Immaculate TSH Belief", by which they only want to test and medicate based on TSH. That simply doesn't work. Others will test beyond TSH, but then use "Reference Range Endocrinology" and tell you that a thyroid test that falls anywhere within the range is adequate. That also doesn't work for many hypo patients.

So last night I took the online baby gender quiz & all of them came back I'm having a Girl. I've did 5 different ones hopefully it is Correct! I mean i've taken it before with my first two pregnancies & it told me I was having boys & it was right each time!! Your TPO ab and TG ab results show that Hashi's is the cause for you being hypothyroid. With Hashi's the antibodies attack your thyroid gland until over an extended period the gland is destroyed. As this progresses, the output of natural thyroid hormone is diminished, so Free T4 and Free T3 levels drop, and the pituitary produces more TSH in an effort to stimulate the thyroid gland to produce more.

I ended up going to the local ER and my levels were over 100. They gave me a 90 day prescription and some thyroid meds there. Heart rate stayed low to mid 60's and bp was elevated but they didn't seem too concerned about that.

and i havent been able to find it and i forgot who wrote it, but it said something about a site that you could go to and take a quiz to see the % of a chance you may be pregnant? anybody know about this?

I haven't tried it. I took the Old Wive's Tale quiz and it said I was having a girl but some of the questions are really silly. Like the pillow to the north or south. My pillow is to the East. How do I answer that question? Can't. And like, the shape of my belly....oh I don't know that one I barely have a belly lol. So I could not take advantage of that quiz even though it is just a quiz. But, I did it just for fun. I'll have to try the Chinese calendar.

Just use that in place of the corned beef, and place it on rye bread (whole grain). You can use a low fat swiss cheese and sauerkraut. I'm a 13 year old girl and I really am starting to believe I have depression. I cry every night over things that happened forever ago and don't even matter anymore. Also, his heart rate was always pretty high which according to the tales a boy has a low heat rate. Actually, I took a wives tale quiz online already knowing about his little manhood, and it resulted as 90%chance girl lol.
