Avatar f tn Your body needs to pass the baby completely for your levels to start going down again. I'm sorry but it's highly probable that you've might of lost this baby. Your levels should have doubled unless it was ectopic but I'm sure you would have been told.
Avatar n tn You have to remember that serum thyroid levels are the sum of both endogenous and exogenous sources of thyroid hormone. As you raise your thyroid med, the TSH is reduced, and in response your endogenous, natural thyroid hormone production, is diminished. It is not unusual at all for serum levels to show very little change until the TSH is reduced enough that it is no longer a factor and the entire amount of serum thyroid is due to exogenous sources (thyroid med).

Avatar f tn I have low estrogen levels (102 and they said it should be around 150) and low progesterone levels (11? and they said it should be 15). During these results I was on folistim and then also progesterone pills. I had polyps removed 5 months ago and was told I had polypoid endometrium. Can't find anything on that topic though. What does this mean for my body in general as far as mood/health is concerned and how is my infertility directly related? Been TTC for 3 years...
1936698 tn?1333915193 I'm confused. My doctor has never told me anything about hormone levels and looking out for them or anything. My friend just had a miscarriage last night at 11 weeks, and I feel terrible for her and I just want to cry because she was so excited. Her hormone level went from 73000 to 1200. How do you tell if your hormones dropped and what is so important about them during pregnancy? I'm 31 weeks along and I am so confused about all of it.

Avatar n tn t understand that most patients taking thyroid hormone at a dosage adequate to relieve hypo symptoms will have suppressed TSH levels. This is a result of taking a full dose of thyroid hormone once or twice daily resulting in an equilibrium among TSH, FT4 and FT3 that is quite different from that with the usual continuous low flow of natural thyroid hormone in the untreated state.
Avatar f tn The researchers evaluated thyroid hormone levels, as well as creatinine levels, lipid levels, body mass index, heart rate, and quality of life parameters. The researchers found that the patients taking nighttime levothyroxine had a drop in TSH of 1.25 -- which is a significant change. They free thyroxine (Free T4) level went up by 0.07 ng/dL, and total triiodothyronine (Total T3) went up by 6.5 ng/dL. According to the researchers, there were no significant changes in the other factors.

Avatar f tn Hi I'm 35 and pregnant with my fourth baby, I'm six weeks pregnant and my doctor order blood test do to my low hormone level, just wondering if i have anything to worry about, i don't know what means!!
Avatar n tn With Graves Disease, the thyroid produces too much thyroid hormone. Levo is given when the thyroid does not produce enough, so apparently, you were hypo before your TT, which means you wouldn't have had Graves Disease. Since you no longer have a thyroid, there's nothing to produce too much hormones except the medication you take on a daily basis, so, no, you can't develop Graves Disease after TT, but you "can" be over medicated.

1569985 tn?1328247482 A 31-year old woman's heart problems and fainting might have had something to do with the fact that she drank only soda for about half her life, according to a report of her case. The woman, who lives in Monaco, a small country near southern France, was brought to a hospital after she fainted. A blood test showed she had severely low potassium levels. And a test of her heart's electrical activity revealed she had a condition called long QT syndrome, which can cause erratic heart beats.
594189 tn?1386916607 I have low progesterone levels too, I am 6 weeks pregnant and I am taking pills to keep my levels up as well. I don't know much about progesterone in your situation, but I do know that 104 is considered normal blood sugar. If you test 2 hours after you eat a meal, it is normal as long as it doesn't go above 130. I have know people who have normal blood sugar who occasionally go above 130, but I think as long as it doesn't happen on a regular basis there is no need to worry.
Avatar m tn In another report published in Science Daily in July, 2007, researchers reported that many otherwise healthy children and adolescents have low vitamin D levels. The article reports that vitamin D deficiency puts children at risk for bone diseases such as rickets. In adults, vitamin D deficiency contributes to bone loss, causing conditions of osteopenia and osteoporosis. Vitamin D deficiency is also widely seen in patients with multiple sclerosis.
Avatar m tn Thanks ginger! I'm not trying to fix anything tho, I'm just trying to support his overall health. Low testosterone is directly related to prostate cancer in us old guys. Its has many physiological benefits. I know from personal experience. Natural testosterone cream reduced my blood sugar, triglyceride and cholesterol levels to a normal range. My depression lifted and my enegry levels increased. When testosterone is converted to DHT and estrogen it can be problematic.
