Avatar f tn Only part I can answer is about the yeast infection. I had a yeast infection a week and half ago and was 1cm dilated and could still take the meds, it just feels weird putting it in since you're dilated.
Avatar n tn At this point I feel I am going back and forth between yeast infections and low estrogen symptoms. Needless to say I am losing my mind and am in agony. Any suggestions? OR home remedies? Baths? Anything would help.
Avatar f tn Cutting sugar is good for insulin/glucose issues but I’m not sure it’s going to help with yeast infection. How old are you? Do you take birth control pills?
Avatar f tn I have never had a yeast infection and I'm 49 years old. I'm extremely dry in the area but I've research the topic and I can't find where dryness and yeast infection go together. I'm assuming it does I've taken the pill today and I hope within 24 hours it will be somewhat better. Help !!?
Avatar f tn I've had a bit of yeast since December. And ever since I've been having irregular period. The doctor said it was hormonal imbalance because my estrogen level was high. Apparently he was wrong. Another doctor said it's due to stress, but I haven't been stressed for a while. And all this time I've had a yeast infection that doesn't go away. So I wanted to know if that is the reason why my period is irregular. I saw my gyn. They did tests and nothing is wrong with me.
Avatar f tn It isn`t a yeast infection. It is menopause related,I am sure.I am just not sure if it will heal on it`s own.I am using a cortisone cream 2x a day.I was given the prescription a year ago and I used it for 3 months. It helped with the dryness, itchiness and thinning of the skin in the area.I was not dealing with an open lesion though.
1142929 tn?1271622835 And many women get yeast and BV at the same time - BV covers up the yeast. It also can take about 30 days for things to really balance out after treatment. Estrogen does play a role in lubrication etc. For the dryness there are some over the counter aids that you can look into or you can see about trying some estrogen cream on the outside of the vagina. I would start with the OTC bec it's not hormonal. Don't use plain lubrication; look for one that specifically is for vaginal dryness.
Avatar f tn It's normal. I have never had a yeast infection in my life until I got pregnant. I freaked but my doctor said it's normal. I got mine at about 27 weeks.
Avatar f tn I know this emotional rollercoaster is normal but this is all steaming from this stupid dental infection and because of the antibiotics I have a yeast infection and I feel even lower.. I got the creme but can't shake that dirty feeling like I did something wrong. This is my first yeast infection in my life!
Avatar f tn This always happens right before my period. My symptoms are strange as well. For the yeast infection, I have burning and some discharge but no itching. The UTI, I have a fever, pressure in my pelvic area and a little burning in the area around my urethra. Neither of these occurrences seem to be what is normally experienced. I'm concerned these are actually mild herpes symptoms, and am concerned about my risk of exposure.
Avatar f tn I have been treated for a yeast infection twice since the chlamydia, but most of the time there is no itch, never an odor, and my vagina is always dry...sometimes the skin even peels. But after a couple of days, it starts to go away. Then the cycle repeats. I am soooo scared and frustrated. Please help if anyone has any ideas.
Avatar m tn I have an extreme itch on the outside of my vagina. I have no discharge or odor so I don't believe it is a yeast infection. I saw a doctor that decided it was fungus without even looking at it and it's been 3 weeks and no relef from the cream she gave me. Beside the itch the lips and some other areas have become very hard and swollen. I haven't been sexually active for several months and I'm post menapause. Any idea what this is or how to get rid of it?
Avatar f tn I am 26 and have had dryness pretty much my whole life but it seems to get progessively worse. I get probably around 3 infections a month whether it be yeast or bacterial or urinal. I am wondering if any of these symptoms are in correlation with each other. I am also wondering if i could benefit from vaginal estrogen therapy, even at the age of 26.
Avatar f tn Last antibiotic gave me a RAGING yeast infection so this should be of great help!
Avatar f tn i think i have a yeast infection is my low blood pressure because of that and what can i do to cure this infection?
Avatar f tn She prescribed Nystatin cream which didnt do anything because I did not have a YEAST infection. With my internal med doc diagnosing me with shingles and gyn prescribing a useless cream, I can just scream. I def want to study women health because of this. It's frustrating!!!
Avatar f tn The other thought is that maybe it is fungal without being yeast per se. Estrogen levels go up and that is often linked to yeast and fungal overgrowth. I would try to change undies often, wear only cotton, let yourself air dry at night, eat or take a probiotic supplement or enhanced food (like yogurt or the drinks), and cut down on sugar. Your doctor is not wanting to treat you for a yeast infection? That itching must be a pain!
Avatar f tn Maybe yeast infection? When I get a yeast infection sometimes the same thing happens to me when me and my bf have sex. Does it hurt when having sex? Or is your vagina itchy like on the outside? Those are all related to yeast infection too but I don't ever get those symptoms just the white stuff.
Avatar f tn So through out this whole prenancy I have been getting a yeast infection it comes and go, at first they told me to cut down on my sugar and I did, all I drink is cranberry juice and water, so now most of the time I feel dizzy light headed and vision gets a little blurry, can anyone help?
Avatar f tn 1st I had what I thought was a yeast infection, then I had both BV and yeast, then BV alone, then yeast alone, then cervitis. Eventually I had a culture done that came back fine. However I noticed that my bladder seemed more prominent, like lower in my vagina than ever before & I could feel something like a bump deep in my vagina, I think on my bladder. A dr said my bladder felt normal & that he couldnt detect the bump I was referring to so I ignored it and carried on.
Avatar f tn Your good it's just your body stretching hun I still itch and I'm 5 months lol you might have a yeast infection that's common in pregnancies I get them like crazy
Avatar n tn i was told the same thing and informed that i should try to change my diet...low sugar, low gluten, high in protien, and high in fiber...it helped a ton. I started taking grape seed extract nightly to help prevent yeast infections...and i also take a probiotic 3 times a day that has at least 3 million live bactria in it...
Avatar f tn Thanks for the information. My doctor didn't say anything about estrogen, so I wonder if that means my vaginal tissue is in good condition? I'm happy with the pessary she fit me with, it's difficult to remove, but that may become easier as I get accustomed to it (here's hoping!). I haven't had a yeast infection in almost 40 years (when I was pregnant) and just that one time; perhaps that's why she didn't suggest an acidifier.
Avatar f tn Please I need some help I've been struggling a yeast infection since early mar. I was on amoxcillin-clav in march ever since had a yeast infection . Tried most creams ,and had a dyflican in fact had three no not at once one s week ,and it helped for a little ,but came back fell blown again could it have been I had a allergic reaction have not had a yeast infection for about 7 yrs.I don't have diabetes or HIV it's like it is hybernating.
Avatar f tn My tests show I have low estrogen (also taking birth control pill), decreased cortisol in the morning and increased at night and elevated DHEA. I'm just baffled as to why I am sweating so much. Should I get treated for the estrogen or should they level out once my thyroid is fixed? I am taking natural supplements for my adrenals and might want to try HC but I have heard not so good stories about it. Are there natural adrenal meds or how should I go abouts treating it?
Avatar f tn also topical estrogen or even just a barrier cream like aquaphor is probably a better choice for cuts in the skin than a topical steroid. steroids just further thin the skin and aren't really made for our sensitive genital skin. you don't want to add to your problems. you need a prescription for the topical estrogen from your provider but first be seen to make sure that you don't have a vaginal yeast infection causing the skin tears.
Avatar n tn It all started out last March I got my first yeast infection and UTI at the same time from a Marathon, mind you I was a virgin at the time so it was not from sex. Following that I continued to get them on and off, after meeting my boyfriend and now being sexually active I get yeast infection every week. I get the symptoms for a couple of days and then they go away and come back a couple of days later. I have taken Fluconazole over 5 times.
594189 tn?1386916607 It may be where you have been sick, if you are taking antibiotics it could be a yeast infection. or even meds that affect your mucus will affect the vaginal mucosa as well.
