Avatar m tn Hi! Your mother needs to get examined to rule out a few things such as low blood pressure, postural hypotension, cervical spinal nerve compression, hypoglycemia, severe anemia, an underactive thyroid (called hypothyroidism), overactive thyroid (called hyperthyroidism), adrenal insufficiency (called Addison's disease), GERD, and internal ear infections. FSH, LH, estrogen and progesterone should also be tested. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral.
Avatar f tn My blood work came back and I have low estrogen levels. The insurance won't cover the medication I was prescribed. Does anyone have an idea of a generic brand I can take or something over the counter?
Avatar f tn It could be endometriosis as I had severe nausea for 2yrs before my surgery and once I had the surgery and was put on the BCP continuously I dont have it anymore. If I go off my pill for more then a month it comes back with vengeance. If the pain is mild have you thought of going on the pill to level your hormones? That is what the cause is most likely. Have your hormones checked before doing so, to see if you have higher then normal levels.
Avatar f tn Hi, my daughter was put on birth control to regulate her periods and for her acne, which was really bad. She was 17 at the time. She was put on the regular pill that everyone starts off with I believe, ortho something or other. Worked great on regulating her periods AND her acne. The nausea started shortly thereafter and the vomiting....................
Avatar f tn My tests show I have low estrogen (also taking birth control pill), decreased cortisol in the morning and increased at night and elevated DHEA. I'm just baffled as to why I am sweating so much. Should I get treated for the estrogen or should they level out once my thyroid is fixed? I am taking natural supplements for my adrenals and might want to try HC but I have heard not so good stories about it. Are there natural adrenal meds or how should I go abouts treating it?
453798 tn?1262633421 I was also told that estace, which is estrogen was supposed to help me with my lining and my Doctor also told me it helps my chances with getting pregnant. Good luck this month. I hope you get a bfp!!!!
Avatar n tn Also from my doctor, I learned that one can be both estrogen deficient and estrogen dominant at the same time if progesterone and estrogen are low, and due to our exposure to estrogens & phyto estrogens in environment and foods. So alot of balancing is required and diary your symptoms for your doctor, and balancing your doses of the creams based on your symptoms, always start low and work up, also know that with estrogen, the symptoms of too much and not enough, are the same.
Avatar f tn I'm an 18 year old cisgender female with an intact uterus and low estrogen/progesterone. To counter this, my doctor has prescribed me 100 mcg Estradot patches and 200 mg Microgest. I have absolutely HORRIBLE reaction to the Microgest -- horrific nausea, constipation, excessive vaginal discharge, headaches, constantly feel drunk, etc. I have been taking it 3 months now, so I know this is not a fluke.
1190847 tn?1287363025 They both told me that I probably have a sex hormone imbalance. So, I looked this up on the internet and found out that low estrogen levels can trigger psychosis in people who are predisposed to schizophrenia. One of my sisters has major depressive disorder, and another has rapid cycling type II bipolar. The three of us have different fathers. So, a week before I start my period I self-mutilate, have crying fits, tics, delusions, suicidal thoughts, and paranoia.
Avatar n tn Is it normal to have nausea and an upset stomach so close to my due date? I'm 38+5 weeks. I feel terrible and I still have a week of work left.
Avatar f tn The T4 has always been elevated and the TSH has gone as low as 3.5. No estrogen being taken. Antibodies were tested and were normal. ANy comment on the THBR? And that you so much.
974371 tn?1424653129 I was having nausea when getting up in the morning. Now, it continues during the day and after I eat. I take Omeprazole and Gas-x and use Pepto . My GI doc says he is out of things to give me and told me to contact the specialist in San Francisco that did the motility test. I did and they said they will discuss it next week at my appt and to contact my doctor here!! My Doc here suggested maybe I go to the Mayo clinic. Oh right!! I'm in CA!!

Avatar m tn All I know is that after you get pregnant you can use an ovulation monitor as a pregnancy test since it can tell an increase just like when you ovulate. I'm not sure how soon after ovulation it works though.
508203 tn?1233234804 m hoping that the worsening sickness is my hormones increasing. I will request that they check my progesterone and estrogen too, my mum has low progesterone so maybe I do too. I'm sure of the dates that I ovulated (however my temperature is a little sparadic so it could be give or take a few days. My doctor knew I ovulated late, but her results may still be going by first day of my last period.
1351105 tn?1277142905 I just recently found out that I have low estrogen levels. I also have endometriosis. I looked up something and it said that estrogen replacement is not the best thing with endometriosis. My soon to be husband and I are trying for another baby but if estrogen levels are low I know that can cause a bigger issue on being able to conceive. And I don't want to go back onto birth control due to the fact that we're trying for another.
Avatar f tn im 33 yo,6yrs trying to get pregnant, recently my repro-endo told me that im not ovulating bec of low estrogen level, and as of now she doesnt know the root cause of having low estrogen, since all my bloodtests were normal..is there anybody out there who experience the same thing..right now my ob instruct me to inject gonal-f.to help stimulate my eggcells..very depressing, frustrating, sometimes i want to give up and loosing hope..pls help me..
Avatar n tn Well, the doctor who did my transfer told me to take 2 estrodial per day and 3 prometrium per day and shot of progesterone every other day and I wasn't due to go back until my pregnancy test 10/7. However, I was unhappy with several lapses in care that I received along the process so I switched and they immediately started doing my blood levels every 3-4 days. I guess it helps them to keep your hormones where they need to be to support pregnancy.
Avatar n tn as far as your estrogen levels are concerned, mine were extremely low but my RE wasnt worried and assured me i still have a chance to conceive. ususally it takes about 1 year after you stop your birth control to get pregnant. it may be harder since your peroids are irregular which means you'll ovulate later in each cycle. my guess is since you havent have your peroid in 4 -5 months you can still get pregnant.
Avatar m tn Before the test I stopped using birth control pills which I started 7 months ago, I stopped because they caused spotting between my periods, now spotting gone. The pills that I have used were low hormone one which means no estrogen. Plus just before the pap smear, after I stop pills, my period was weird, no aching breasts etc, now it is also normal. So my question is, I think obviously my hormone level was low, can LSIL be related to that?
Avatar n tn I read that this was due to low cortisol levels because cortisol is made from Progesterone so if your Progesterone levels are low, your cortisol levels will be low and cortisol has an anti-inflammatory affect on the body. Also Estrogen dominance promotes the release of histamine. I started on 20mg of progesterone Kokoro cream twice a day because I am thin & I read that thin women need higher doses for 3 or 4 months to get progesterone levels up.
Avatar n tn I am extremely depressed and am suffering with hypothyroidism, low testosterone, too much estrogen, high cholesterol and low Vitamin D what is wrong with me? I originally thought that everything here is linked to depression from stress and anxiety so I started taking Lexapro for the depression. But my wife thinks that maybe all of these things are linked to a health issue. About 11 months ago I was diagnosed with high cholesterol and low thyroid, so I am taking red rice yeast and .
1546654 tn?1294411026 sometimes a lil low...but usually 120/80.My cancer is estrogen positive, so none of that...and never heard of T3 either....
Avatar n tn 400mg B6 500mg B12 800mg Vit E 2000mg Vit D 1500mg Calcium 1000 Magnesium 500mg Black Cohosh 400mg Folic Acid 1000mg Evening Primrose Oil 500mg Grape Seed Extract (antidioxidant) I do this daily, plus eat tofu daily, drink soy milk, eat flax seed on everything... and some of the flashes and that crushing fatique, nausea, headaches lessen a bit.
405855 tn?1217100767 Yes. I do have mild PCOS. My doc did a US and bloodwork again on CD13...the follis had not grown futher infact some were shrinking. The blood work showed progesterone at 1.18, which they said meant I had not ovulated. The FSH was 7.9...which I have no clue what should be in CD13 or what does it signify. The esterogen had moved up from 23 to 44 now. Lining was better ...close to 6. (Wondert if it can grow2-3 mm in a day). This cycle is very wierd....infact I am thinking it is almost busted.
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
