low breast milk supply in evening

Ok so a week ago I got really sick, throwing up and diareaha. I lost alot fluids that night and I'm breastfeeding. Well since then my milk has been very low. I have been trying to pump after each feeding to make sure I empty the breast to stimulate more milk, but it's not. I have been drinking alot of fluids, eating well. I've had to supplement almost every night with formula or with pumped milk.

My baby was in the nicu and got used to using bottles and gets too frustrated to wait for my milk when breast feeding so he pulls away so I just pump and feed him using bottles but throughout the day my output is low and my stock in the fridge is running low, what can I do to quickly boost my supply?

Then I read in a breastfeeding book that this is entirely normal in newborns and that it can make women question their supply and give formula supplements, and this is what can really start interfering with your milk supply. So hang in there and just keep at it. His wet and poopy diapers seem spot on and his weight gain is fine. That is telling you that he is getting plenty to eat.

I breast fed my daughter and I always had extra to put in the fridge. I just had to pump at the time she usually had to feed and I kept producing alot of milk.

t the right forum but I feel more comfortable asking questions here...I had my daughter on the 9th and at first I had a really good milk supply where my breast would become engorged every two hours if I didn't pump or feed regularly....and I was pumping 2/3 ounces from each breast every time.....now I can hardly get an half an ounce :(....I try to have my daughter on my breast every two hours but it seems like she gets so irritated because nothing is coming out....

So for the first week and a half my breasts were feeling full & heavy. My son is now 13 days old & since Wednesday my breasts have been feeling squishy & soft. I'm still able to nurse frequently & I only pump occasionally. But I'm worried that maybe my milk supply is running low & that I won't have enough for my baby. I also have some pain in my right breast. There's no redness or warmth it just hurts a bit when I push my breast inward from the side.

this is also another reason why I thought my milk supply is dwindling... I did notice that after a nice warm shower my right breast is leaking milk.. I guess this is a good sign that there's still some milk there??

my baby just turned 2weeks old today, sorry I haven't written my birth story but everything went smoothly =) anyways at first I had a lot of milk coming in and my boobs were always engorged now that he doesn't latch on very well and I don't pump as much my milk supply Is very low and I can only get about 2 ounces from both boobs does anyone know what I can do to help my milk supply?

Any new moms having problems with breastfeeding? My daughter is 2 weeks old and my milk supply is still low when I pump it's only 1oz from both breast sometimes less so I had to put her on formula which breaks my heart because I wanted to exclusively breastfeed for 3 months and then do both when I go back to work but I had no choice.

MY friend just had her daughter she's two months she was breastfeeding but stopped said she wasn't producing enough milk I want to breast feed also work so I'm planning to pump I really don't want to formula feed my son how can I make sure I have that milk supply coming in besides I heard it had lots of benefits for me and my son like low risk of SIDS and my sons dads oldest son died from SIDS and also I know it will help me loss weight so I don't want to give up on breastfee

Hey ladies. I'm expecting my second child in September and I really want to breast feed. It didn't work out with my first cuz I had a low milk supply and couldn't feed her anymore at 3 months.. What if I can't breast feed this baby either? Does a low milk supply mean always a low milk supply with every child? What were your experiences?

No it wont hurt at all, but try to only do in the evening at 1st or not more than 2 a day as I found with my daughter she preferred the formula as it filled her quicker! But if u do it in the evening it will fill ur lil one ready for bed so she wont wakeso much at night!

My 1st baby was born at 27wks and I expressed for 9 weeks with the help of medication as my milk supply was low. Baby number 2 was full term and I breast fed and expressed plus the help of medication for about 7 weeks and gave up then due to low supply. Baby number 3 was full term and again I fought for about 5 weeks with expressing, breastfeeding and medication before I gave up. My body doesn't seem to like to make much milk unfortunately.

So this is for women that already have children. I feel as if my breast milk is starting to go away and I just want to cry. My baby is only 12 days old and I really wanna be able to breast feed her for the initial first six weeks and even farther on. What did you guys eat to help keep your milk supply up so you didn't have to worry bout it drying up?

You also have to see if youre milk supply is really low often mothers think its low when it really isn't. If you're baby is gaining weight well on breast milk alone then you don't have a problem with milk supply.

I believe it's pretty normal. The breast can leak colostrum as early as 16 weeks pregnant.

Hey ladies just wondering if there is anyway to increase milk supply besides pumping, I'm not feeling that full feeling anymore and blayde seems to have to suck a bit more than usual to stimulate me to let down, and i usually can get 150mls out of both breast after feeding but today could only get 50mls.

m worried about breastfeeding feeding. When should my milk come in? I do not want to put my baby on formula, what if my milk does not come in before delivery? How does this work?
