lovenox with pregnancy

are there any explnations for high hcg levels and not seeing anything above discriminatory levels? does it ever happen and have a successful outcome? can lovenox have anything to do with the subch hemm? i am now back on the lovenox and have hcg tomorrow and repeat us next week. all us were tvus.

I've been on Lovenox for the last 12 weeks of my pregnancy (I'm 22 1/2 weeks now)...my baby has been fine. They just watch both of us a little closer. I'm not sure if the doctor told you but, Lovenox is pretty much the only blood thinner you can take that does not pass through your placenta. I guess for me, I had to weigh the risks of not taking the shot vs what "might" happen.

we were going to a fertility specialist and finally was able to get pregnant again the doc put me on lovenox,baby aspirin, and progesterone..looks like everything is going fine with this pregnancy..Im 9.3 weeks due Feb 21st.

RE had me start Lovenox after 2nd beta (I have been on baby aspirin and am continuing). My question is, with a low-med positive is Lovenox indicated. RE says he is being extra cautious, which I respect. But, could it cause any problem with the baby or pregnancy if it is NOT needed. Also, could the elevated ACL have anything to do with my infertility? Thank you in advance.

I've used lovenox with my last pregnancy and with this pregnancy due to a blood clotting disorder. Lovenox is perfectly safe. does not cross the placenta but thins the blood just enough and very evenly to prevent blood clots. there are no side effects except maybe I bruised slightly easier.

I do have to admit, I had a tough time with the very first shot. As you know, you drop coumadin and start Lovenox (which is a lower molecular weight heparin). My first kit came with a book and a DVD telling my excaty what to do. I just piched up my belly just to the side of my belly button and pushed in the needle. Remember to switch sides with each injection. After the first injection, it is much easier to do. The shots do not hurt. The needles are very small in diameter.

This is my second time with lovenox shots. The first was just to start the thinning process then I was able to take warfarin. They never diagnosed my first DVT, I was told it was a fluke. I'm now 13 weeks pregnant and have a second DVT. After testing I have Factor V Leiden and take 2x daily shots of 100mg lovenox. I already have had 3 natural pregnancies so this one surprised me.

I just had a miscarriage on July 30th and I was 23 1/2 weeks pregnant. I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now.

My RE is putting me on it with this next positive pregnancy. We just ran another series of blood tests and one came back positive for blood clotting. He said this particular type of clot would is associated with second or third trimester losses, whereas all four of my mc have been around five weeks. But he said it is reason enough to do Lovenox. I don't know how long I would have to take it.

I am not an OB nurse and I am curious why your are taking lovenox during your pregnancy, do you have a previous clotting issue with your pregnancies? I am just asking because I am wondering if i am going to have to be on lovenox because of my clotting history when i become pregnant?

Has anybody used the blood thinner lovenox? My doctor put me on it for the whole pregnancy. I just forbid out I was carrying 4 days ago. I'm very nervous because I've had 3 miscarriages before this.

I've had pulmonary embolism before I was pregnant. I had 3 clots in one lung and two in the other. It was quite painful and I was treated with warfarin/coumadin pills and eventually the clots dissolved. Warfarin is NOT to be taken when pregnant because it will effect the baby so Lovenox/ heparin shots are often prescribed seeing as it is faster acting and won't reach the baby.

I have been taking it close to 2 months now, without any followup blood work. I am on Lovenox because earlier in my pregnancy they discovered I MIGHT have a Protein-S deficiency. They just say to keep taking the injections. Should I get a "second opinion"?

So, I'm due in September but I have to take lovenox shots for large blood clots in my lungs. Today my doctor decided that I will be induced when the time comes, so that the situation can be controlled. Has anyone dealt with this situation?

the Factor V sounds familiar, but whatever it was, it was supposedly causing micro clots at the placenta/uterus interface. he claimed Lovenox would hopefully help me.....so....my first pregnancy with this dr. and taking Lovenox for the past 15 days.....Had second sonogram yesterday and saw fetal pole, yolk sac and heartbeat!!! I started taking baby aspirin and folgard 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant. I am also injecting 30mg Lovenox everyday after positive pregnancy test. The pregnancy went well except bad nausea and vomittings. At 15 weeks I vomitted blood. My OB asked me stop aspirin for 2 weeks. I did and my nausea and vomitting were gone after 1 week. He asked me to resume baby aspirin after 2 weeks. I did and after 1 week I vomitted again.

Anyone on Lovenox... Will the burning ever go away? Any advice of where to do the injections. My love handles are so soar and its only been a week.

I'm 5 weeks 7days and it's 4 am here. .I'm on lovenox..or and I got up to pee and I have a rash on 2 sides of my belly I'm not sure if it's from Lovenox..or or sun burn or what...well when i wiped there was blood on the toilet paper...am i misscarrying??? Yes, I am on Lovenox!!!! and I am 33 weeks pregnant...I am also on extra Folic Acid and I was diagnosed with MTHFR...so it does work.... Good Luck to you!!!

m worried about what I was reading about epidural while taking lovenox, debates on when you should stop prior to surgery for pregnancy; possibly bleeding too much. That and I do not get numb underneath my skin so another c-section would be a bit uncomfortable since I passed out last time from all the pain and I like to be aware what is going on. That and if anything goes wrong I'd be passed out before I knew so....

She said that she had spoken with them and was told that they would do lovenox. Needless to say, that perinatologist didn't like me too much after this (because I questioned him). Anyway, he conferred with his colleagues, and one of them said that most definitely she would treat me with lovenox if and when i got pregnant again. This was in March. Well....I didn't even have time to make another appointment!!! I got pregnant again the first week of April.

Are any of you high risk pregnancies due to a high blood clotting risk (I had multiple bilateral PE in May of last year)? How is your pregnancy coming along? If you are on medicaid for pregnancy, are your heparin/lovenox shots covered by it? I'm worried I won't be able to afford my medication, as my BcBs considers it a specialty drug with a copay of $100 a month! Any input is appreciated!

I wasn on lovenox injections for the first few months of my pregnancy and every thing seems to be good with baby.
