Does the dr think you have a blood clotting issue that contributed to the loss? Lovenox is typically used when women have blood clotting antibodies or gene mutations that potentially cause blood clotting such as MTHFR. Also, if you do have these issues, wouldn't you start the lovenox and aspirin while trying to conceive so you don't potentially lose the baby before 7 weeks? I am taking lovenox this cycle due to MTHFR and I'm starting it before I am pregnant. Good luck!

I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.

29 weeks pregnant, ultrasound today showed birth weight of 2 pounds and 2 onces. Have been atenolol 25mg daily since beginning of 2nd trimester. Plan to have c-section at 37 weeks due previous t incision of uterus and post op PE, also on Lovenox 40mg SQ daily. I am very concerned if I should stop taking atenolol.

Hi girls. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Lovenox? My RE is putting me on it with this next positive pregnancy. We just ran another series of blood tests and one came back positive for blood clotting. He said this particular type of clot would is associated with second or third trimester losses, whereas all four of my mc have been around five weeks. But he said it is reason enough to do Lovenox. I don't know how long I would have to take it.

So I'm going on a daily dose of Lovenox, and I have to have hydroxyprogesterone weekly. I'm getting nervous not so much for me but my fiancé. He takes great care of me and idk if it's hormones but now with baby #2 being a girl it's a risk I may genetically passed or will pass my high blot clot risk to her. What if she has miscarriage problems or risks having going into labor early. I worry about my son too- I just found this information out today.

i got my diagnosis and my hemo doc is confident that with lovenox shots during the next preg i will not have another loss...which is good news i have lost 15 lbs over the last month from all the depression and anxiety over everything... i see there have been many BFPs and losses...for those who got a BFP...congrats :) and those who have suffered a loss...im so sorry for your loss.... one piece of advice i didnt adhere to is that after a loss the male will suffer too...

i give birth 6 weeks ago i had blood clots in my lungs they gave me lovenox inj? the medicaid was covering it, but now after my pregnancy ended they stoped the medicaid and i cannot afford seeing the dr or the inj. i still got 5000mg heparin but i dont use because after my pregnancy ended they swithed me to lovenox i now take only asprin 325mg am i at risk what can do about it !!

The last time I had Lovenox was one year ago and I was at 2.6 when I started the Lovenox. At that time I quit taking coumadin until after the procedure. The day after the procedure, I started up on coumadin and continued to taking the Lovenox until I was therapeutic again (between 2-3 INR). You stated that you were worried about the AFib. I assume you were referring to AFib while you are off coumadin and on Lovenox. I wouldn't worry about that.

I just got back from my high-risk OB appt and they have switched me to Heparin (Low-Molecular Weight, I believe) because it IS reversible should I go into labor unexpectadly, whereas Lovenox is not. I can't remember the reversal med, but it exists so that should I require an emergency c-section, they would give me this shot and send me on my way. The gal that asked me the question wanted to know about risks of c-section while being anti-coagulated.

What I did was stop the Coumadin 5 days before, and then 4 days before started Lovenox to bridge up until the surgery (Lovenox is a subcutaneous injection and is a Low Molecular Weight Heparin that will keep the blot thin enough to prevent clotting). The night of the day of the procedure I had, I restarted the Coumadin, and the following day after the surgery used Lovenox for 2 days giving the Coumadin time to begin building back up again.

I lost my first at 31 weeks, Due to placental abruption and found out I was positive for the lupus anticoagulant test and now I am on lovenox for my second pregnancy because I am more prone to blood clots. Anyone else been through something similar?

Well, we engaged once in April, 4 x all together since Violeta's loss in Feb and whalla, here we are pregnant again with a BFP on May 8, very early since conception occurred on April 29 or later,.:) I demanded the lovenox right away and numbers are HCG May 8 :9 and HCG May 11: 35 woohoo..so all going well so far in this 13 day pregnancy!:) just wanted to say hi agian and hello to new moms...

I started taking baby aspirin and folgard 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant. I am also injecting 30mg Lovenox everyday after positive pregnancy test. The pregnancy went well except bad nausea and vomittings. At 15 weeks I vomitted blood. My OB asked me stop aspirin for 2 weeks. I did and my nausea and vomitting were gone after 1 week. He asked me to resume baby aspirin after 2 weeks. I did and after 1 week I vomitted again.

Aww thanks for responding, and well with my first two I had all the nasty symptoms but it still seemed like from one day to the other I had my babies in my arms. This time around I have no real symptoms (except backpain, which worries me) so I should be enjoying it, but it's just I don't feel preggo. I haven't even had weight gain- instead weight loss. idk, maybe I'm not normal, lol. Poor other mommies go thru so much and me I'm just here with 188 days left...

Is that medication similar to lovenox . I take lovenox injections once a day and baby aspirin daily to prevent clots. Lovenox are pretty measured shots that are injected into the stomach.

Hi, I am trying to get some help. It all started at 16 wks pregnant (end of July). I felt like my heart was pounding and like a weight was sitting on my chest-somewhat short of breath. The ER sent me home bc they couldn't find anything wrong. Then two hrs. later they said I had a blood clot in my lung and to come back. So, I started on Lovenox shots for four months. I felt like no matter how much I breathed like I couldn't get enough air - I was constantly hyperventilating.

I was diagnosed with lupus anticoagulant blood disorder. I have a leg full of clots that won't break up and go away. They have been treated for 3 years with warfarin, lovenox and cumadin. All to no avail. My gp doctor doesn't seem to have the knack to getting the INR levels stable. I've been at levels of 6 and 6.5 many times leading to ER transfusions. Last week it was 1.1 I'm worried because the symptoms are so much worse lately.

I am 22 and I have had three miscarriages in the past year. I've never gotten past 6 weeks. My doctor did a batch of bloodwork on me, as well as shooting dye into my uterus and tubes. Plus I'm on Folic Acid. Has anyone taken this and had a sucess story?

I really had to push very hard for the needle to go in then it stopped about a third of the way and I had to jam it in the rest of the way. does this sound right? I have plenty of fat so it's not as if I got held up on muscle or anything.
