I take lovenox shots twice a day it's horrible! My belly looks like I've been beat up. I'm 30 weeks and 6 days and I have to do them my entire pregnancy it's not fun but if it keeps me and baby out the hospital we have to do it! Hang in there mama!
I have preiously had a DVT in my leg after ankle surgery in 2008. I was put on 40mg Clexane Injections a day and told to come back in the following week for another test. The second test came back with no change so they put it to 80mg per day and told me to come back two weeks later. I had my test again on Tuesday and have been told these injections have not changed my AT III levels at all and they are really low readings.
My doctor described me a clexane 20 mlg everyday in my 2nd month in my pregancy for 1 month long. And he increased the dose into 40 mlg every day. Now I am in my week 36. And he told me I will take it till delivery and for 7 days after delivery. And he said I am taking clexane because of antibodies but I don't know the name of these antibodies or anything about analysis names.
So I need to know the reason to take clexane.
According to his leaflet I should stop clexane by 12 weeks but I left the country when i was 11 weeks and cant see him anymore. I met my local consultant who advised me to stay on it through preg. I also took a 2nd opinion from a high risk preg consultant who said I can stop or continue! Drs can still change their prescriptions according to scans.

Hi there. Went today for my 31 week appt and my ob had mentioned that we switch from lovenox to heparin at about 36 weeks. I'm on lovenox for factor 5 with history of a blood clot. She also then recommended induction at 39 weeks.... the heparin would be a good idea if an epidural was needed/wanted but it's more cost and twice a day rather than once. I'm really focused on a natural delivery but understand that plans can change suddenly.
k... here's what I can tell you... I have read very little about fertility in terms of what to eat or not to eat but... I've been on daily baby aspirin since the day after retrieval. I have also been doing daily injections of low molecular weight heparin (Lovenox or Clexane). I'm now in my 11th week.
However, I was doing this due to 7 failed IVF cycles.
That said, there's nothing to stop you from taking the aspirin. It doesn't hurt and can only help.
6 months - after a year she is pregnant again (6 weeks) - she is on warfarin from when she is 16 (she was diagnose with antifosfolipied syndrome) and must used clexane every time she got pregnant - my question is, is this save to used this for the whole pregnancy and the growing baby and what bother me the most is that her feet is swolling and very painfull ( clexane 1 week using), can that be the injection ????? we know that the pregnancy is a high risk!
I am 27 weeks pregnancy and have dvt, start to using CLEXANE(ENOXAPARIN) I am really worried is there any harm to my baby

Has anyone on here had to inject clexane once a day during their pregnancy .... i have just come home from seeing my consultant at the hospital and she has told me she wants to put me on clexane because im at high risk of DVT and need to take blood thinners but i was just wondering if anyone else here had to do this and if it affected them in any way ....
my clinic is putting me on clexane injections with this cycle, just wandered if any one has had success by using this drug... and should i be taking baby asprin or steriods with it. all my other cycles failed...
On the other hand, Clexane injection is also used to stop blood clots forming within the blood vessels. and is administered by injection under the skin. Indication for each medicine depends on a variety of factors such as your medical history, symptoms present and diagnosis. My daughter had a blood clot in her brain 4 years ago which was reversed by Lovenox and Heparin; this was just hours prior to her cycle beginning. She has since been diagnosed with MS, even though her labs clearly reflected antiphospholipin syndrome.

I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.
