lovenox vs aspirin

I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now. Should I go ahead and take the baby aspirin now or wait? The Doctor says we can try again in October.

Any one out there feel differently? I am thinking of requesting Lovenox in addition to aspirin for next round. Any benefits or harm? How do you all feel? Thanks!

Also my perinatal doctor said from recently study, aspirin is not helpful with MTHFR. He said Lovenox can help but not aspirin. I did suggest to increase my Lovenox but my OB thinks that is not necessary. I had an ultrasound with my perinatal doctor 3 weeks after I stopped aspirin. Everything looks fine. Also my OB said the way to know if my placenta is working fine is to see if baby is gaining weight normally, which he is. I will have another ultrasound 10 weeks later(31 weeks).

Do not take these medicines while on it - Aspirin...??? what? Then she advised me that I can eat greens..?? Talk about way to much stress and confusion 2 weeks before my surgery.......

We are 8w5d pregnant now. Our RE recommended Lovenox/Prednisone/Baby Aspirin. How do you know when it's safe to stop each med? Nurse said it's usually through 12 weeks. But I have seen other people say online they took Lovenox until 36 weeks. Since this protocol worked, I'm scared to stop any of them. Thanks.

Maternal fetal medicine says NO WAY its too risky without having a diagnosed blood clotting disorder, but my OB and RE are willing to put me on it. Hi Bny807! I have always been given aspirin as a part of my regimin(sp?). My last cycle was a BFP but I miscarried at 8 1/2 weeks (no fetal pole, no heart beat). I have a DVT (recurring blood clot) in my left leg and am sometimes placed on Lovenox to help thin my blood. When I am taking aspirin, I don't have to take the Lovenox...Good luck to you!

Turns out I have a bloody clotting disorder. I got pregnant again (and started the Lovenox injections) and everything was going well until last week. I began having spotting. My hcg was increasing, but my progesterone dropped quickly and I lost the baby. My husband and I are giving this one more shot. My doctor wants to start me on Clomid next month, along with one baby aspirin a day and and folic acid until I get pregnant.

should I still be on a prescribed vitamin like folgard as well as a LD aspirin? Is there anything else I should know before ttc again?

RE had me start Lovenox after 2nd beta (I have been on baby aspirin and am continuing). My question is, with a low-med positive is Lovenox indicated. RE says he is being extra cautious, which I respect. But, could it cause any problem with the baby or pregnancy if it is NOT needed. Also, could the elevated ACL have anything to do with my infertility? Thank you in advance.

I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.

I got my BFP at 8 or 9 dpo, and I went in to see her IMMEDIATELY. She started me on lovenox the same day...30mg twice a day. She kept me on the baby aspirin and Folgard, which contained 4400mcg folic acid, in addition to my 800mcg that I get from my prenatals. I also take fish oil 1000mg twice a day as it has natural blood thinning properties. I am now 34 1/2 weeks along, and we have a scheduled induction for 38 weeks. I absolutely cannot wait to meet my little man!!!

and yes, it is an acutal blood clotting disorder, which is why lovenox and/or 81 mgs of aspirin is a must. the reason why mthfr causes miscarrage is tiny blood clots get caught in the placenta, which causes the flow of oxygen to get cut off from the fetus thus the pregnancy ends. if you get this disorder you should not ever take birth control again, because bc increases the chance for blood clots. bc with this disorder can be deadly.

Is that medication similar to lovenox . I take lovenox injections once a day and baby aspirin daily to prevent clots. Lovenox are pretty measured shots that are injected into the stomach.

I was recently diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism after being rushed into L&D unable to breathe. I was prescribed Lovenox by injection twice daily. It's inherited, and I would have never known about it had it not been for my cousin having a deep vein thrombosis a few years back (her dad and my dad are identical twins). I've been on baby aspirin since my first miscarriage, every day, and now that I'm pregnant, I'm on Lovenox.

Im 18 weeks, my dr just called this morning saying my bloodwork has shown I should be on lovenox shots once a day. I do not want to be on these shots and have my baby have some wierd side effect because of them. Im pretty holistic and am already on an low dose asprin (which I dont like taking) a day and they still want me to do this. Hi girls. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Lovenox? My RE is putting me on it with this next positive pregnancy. We just ran another series of blood tests and one came back positive for blood clotting. He said this particular type of clot would is associated with second or third trimester losses, whereas all four of my mc have been around five weeks. But he said it is reason enough to do Lovenox. I don't know how long I would have to take it.
