If a cat is on sub-q fluids for a short time and becomes very lethargic, isn't that a sign of possible CHF? And wouldn't or shouldn't a veterinarian recognize that and stop the fluids and do an x-ray?

Brought her in for a well-kitty check last week, liver and thyroid continue at the high end of normal. Kidneys a little weak. on the day that happened I took her back in she had vomited and you could smell the toxins on her breath the vet gave her sub Q fluids and made me practice giving them on her so I could do at home. she was happy that day and so good at the vet. later that night she started to go down hill and she passed two days later she had 13 seizures in the morning and then died several hours after that . The next two weeks were fine. He ate. Not the renal diet but rice with proteins. I snuck in veg where I could. We did sub q fluids daily. Then two weeks ago, he started vomiting. It was several hours after he would eat. I could still see what I fed him. My baby hated his meds. By now, he was on omeprazole, phosphate binders, anti nausea, vit b supplement and we added sucralfate a few days ago, upped the sub q to twice and had the anti nausea injected into his sub q fluids.

And also, I was perimenopausal before this egg donor pregnancy, I am on estrace, vaginal progesterone, lovenox. the doctor wants to slow down the meds and wein me off them, I am afraid of stopping the meds because in my mind that is what is keeping the baby alive. Do you know what stage of the disease she is in..? Are you doing Sub-Q fluids...? If not, when you talk to your vet about the anti-nausea meds, you also need to talk about Sub-Q fluids. After a change in diet, added phosphorus binder, and daily sub q (150 ml for 19 pound dog) her numbers today are BUN 51, creatinine 1.1, and phosphorus 5.7. We got the ok to perform sub q every other day. With such good numbers, will there come a time where we can discontinue sub qs?

I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.

I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now. Should I go ahead and take the baby aspirin now or wait? The Doctor says we can try again in October.

You need to be working on your mental issues the drugs have caused you. Now this is just my opinion on the subs. And your sub doctor should have explained to you all that was going to happen and when you should start your first dose. You normally have to be in full withdrawls to start subs. Or they will put you into withdrawls. You make think you're in wothdrawls now with your taper but that's nothing compared to cold turkey.

I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.

The last time I had Lovenox was one year ago and I was at 2.6 when I started the Lovenox. At that time I quit taking coumadin until after the procedure. The day after the procedure, I started up on coumadin and continued to taking the Lovenox until I was therapeutic again (between 2-3 INR). You stated that you were worried about the AFib. I assume you were referring to AFib while you are off coumadin and on Lovenox. I wouldn't worry about that.

So I'm going on a daily dose of Lovenox, and I have to have hydroxyprogesterone weekly. I'm getting nervous not so much for me but my fiancé. He takes great care of me and idk if it's hormones but now with baby #2 being a girl it's a risk I may genetically passed or will pass my high blot clot risk to her. What if she has miscarriage problems or risks having going into labor early. I worry about my son too- I just found this information out today.
