lovenox normal dosage

My dr. just started me on Lovenox, I got one + hpt, still waiting on beta confirmation, but anyway, just gave myself an injection of Lovenox and now I am feeling a little light headed. Is this normal? What are some of the side effects I can expect?

I was given Lovenox and cumiden for a leg blood clot for six days. After the sixth day I was told to no longer take any of the medications. I experienced headaches. I went to the hospital for blood work and a cat scan. All turned up well. My blood reading was INR 1.83 and pro time 21.7. I am now experiencing lack of energy, slight fever. What can I do? I am taking 2 mg of cumiden at this time (as of yesterday).

I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.

m sure they will tell you it is ok, and to resume your normal dosage after the procedure. Warfarin and Coumadin have really long half lives, so they take a while to be effected in the body. It will take a week or so to get back to your therapeutic range, but you should be ok as long as you are still following your diet and not taking any other medications that can interfere. Good for you having this procedure done. I like to see people keeping up with their screens. I am proud of you.

I of course was considered high risk with both, but there are precautions to take. With both of my pregnancies, I had to give myself shots 2 times a day of Lovenox (a blood thinner, stronger than heparin) and my blood thickness was closely monitored (blood draw a few times a week until the dosage was right). I did that until the day I had my baby and then I was on coumadin for 6 weeks after having both (then I was weened off of all blood thinners).

Lovenox is safe if the kidney function is normal. If it is abnormal then the Lovenox therapy need to be monitored with blood tests to check factor Xa. Lovenox can be given to prevent clots in the stents but your wife might need triple antiplatelet therapy with aspirin, Plavix and Pletal (100 mg twice a day).

Hi girls. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Lovenox? My RE is putting me on it with this next positive pregnancy. We just ran another series of blood tests and one came back positive for blood clotting. He said this particular type of clot would is associated with second or third trimester losses, whereas all four of my mc have been around five weeks. But he said it is reason enough to do Lovenox. I don't know how long I would have to take it.

Hi I hope someone can help me! Had 2 Miscarriages last year. I'm currently 6w 1d pregnant. Saw fetal pole, heart beat and yolk sac yesterday. My hcg #'s aren't rising too well. 1/14 - 790, 1/16 - 1698, 1/18 - 3301, 1/21 - 7989, 1/24 - 12601...............I'm so nervous. I'm on Lovenox and progesterone pills....Dr. isn't that worried.....I AM!!!! Has this happened to anyone before and turned out GOOD??? I don't think I can go through another miscarriage......

The only thing that came back was being compound heterozygous for MTHFR mutations, but with normal homocysteine levels. Other than that, nothing else. My last pregnancy I took extra folic acid, B vitamins, and baby aspirin for good emasure. Now I have gotten a surprise BFP and my doc is talking about Lovenox (low dose). Maternal fetal medicine says NO WAY its too risky without having a diagnosed blood clotting disorder, but my OB and RE are willing to put me on it.

t take Lovenox. I use one called Arixtra, when I need it. Both Lovenox and Arixtra are shots that you give yourself at home. Arixtra is a once-a-day injection; I'm not sure if Lovenox is given once a day or twice a day. A doctor or nurse can show you how to give yourself the shots. The injection will make a blue spot under your skin that looks like a bruise, but it is not painful.

he was moved back to heparin and then to lovenox. Then it was noticed that some of his lymph nodes were a bit enlarged around neck and lungs (1.8 cm the largest). They did several ct scans, pet scans, mri, and 3 biopsies to try to diagnose. 2 of them, a core and a surgery, werent able to get tissue from the lymph nodes. only the fine needle was successful, with a negative result, but we've hear there are a relevant number of cases of false negative in this type.

Anyone taking Lovenox? Im 9 weeks and between the lovenox and the prenat vit I feel groggy all the time..just wondering if lovenox makes you feel bad..

I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now. Should I go ahead and take the baby aspirin now or wait? The Doctor says we can try again in October.

The FDA has placed Lovenox as a category B. Lovenox is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. It is not known whether Lovenox passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing baby. Do not use Lovenox without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby. However, many doctors believe it is fine to breastfeed for the 6 weeks postpartum while still receiving Lovenox.

Anyone been on lovenox and had brown spotting? With my daughter i did not go on lovenox until 11 weeks and i never had an internal after that. I'm assuming this is all stemming from the internal, the pap, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

hi- i just started lovenox injections on tuesday. my dr did the first one which he told me to do the inj down farther like right above your groin area..the one he did hurt but i have done it now twice and it really doesnt hurt, just burns for a few minutes, not bad at all. anything else let me know!

Every scan that has been run reveal no DVT. I have been placed on Lovenox indefinitely and had an IVC filter put in (even though they are not sure where the emboli are coming from). Are there any other tests I can inquire about? Is it common to have a PE with no evidence of a DVT? Am I realisticly looking at Lovenox for the rest of my life? I am a 32 year old male with no prior history and according to the doctors in good health.

I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.

I am 4 weeks pregnant, and it was highly suggested (based on the results of bloodwork drawn right before I became pregnant) to take daily Lovenox injections, as I am at risk for bloodclots. This has been the most miserable part of being pregnant, as I am a little wimpy about giving the injections... i never felt this tired with my other pregnancies, or when af is about to arrive. im a currently on 40mgs lovenox, folic acid, and 200mgs prometrium (took clomid and estroval ealier this month). is it nornal to feel this tired if i am in fact pregnant, or could i feel this way if af is coming too?

The last time I had Lovenox was one year ago and I was at 2.6 when I started the Lovenox. At that time I quit taking coumadin until after the procedure. The day after the procedure, I started up on coumadin and continued to taking the Lovenox until I was therapeutic again (between 2-3 INR). You stated that you were worried about the AFib. I assume you were referring to AFib while you are off coumadin and on Lovenox. I wouldn't worry about that.

Anyone on Lovenox... Will the burning ever go away? Any advice of where to do the injections. My love handles are so soar and its only been a week.
