my doc said there is a lot of extra monitoring when you are taking lovenox because it does thin your blood and they need to be sure its not thinned too much best of luck

Other than this medication, the cardiologist has not given me any parameters on his heart conditions. I have been monitoring his pressure readings at home. What are the "normal" reading for patients with this condition? His readings is normally in the range of 126-135 for the systolic and 58-68 for the diastolic. What are the parameters should the doctor provide so that we as parents know of his progression and when there is a need of surgery. I am really at a loss now. Thank you.

Stef2011- My feeling is that the technician just took two reading and reported the resutls which is not the right method to conduct fibroscan. Thus the reading may not be of much significance.

Was your event monitor set up with autorecording parameters? If you don't know, you should ask. You may not have to push the button at all if it's set up for autorecord. Modern recorders will call the monitoring lab intermittently and download the recordings whether they were auto or manual recordings. If you have a continuous 24hr. recorder, when you press the button, a digital marker is placed at the noted time to make analysis easy.

Hi! I am 26 weeks pregnant and and have had a somewhat complicated pregnancy. I found out that I am hetero for the Prothrombin gene mutation and also compound hetero MTHFR. So since 12 weeks on I've been on 60 mg lovenox, baby aspirin, prenatals, extra calcium and high folic acid. I get monthly ultrasounds for monitoring. At my last ultrasound this past Monday my Perinatologist just wanted to check my thyroid (not sure why). He ran a Free T3 and Free T4 test.

It looks like you have liver inflammation (increased ALT)...but nothing to worry too much. If you haven't done it already, you shall do the following tests: - Fibroscan or Fibrotest - HBV DNA - Hbsaq quantitatively (if possible) - Ultrasound or MRI of your liver Based on these you might either discover that you need a close (probably 3-monthly) monitoring...or perhaps start with treatment. Don't worry too much...

t take Lovenox. I use one called Arixtra, when I need it. Both Lovenox and Arixtra are shots that you give yourself at home. Arixtra is a once-a-day injection; I'm not sure if Lovenox is given once a day or twice a day. A doctor or nurse can show you how to give yourself the shots. The injection will make a blue spot under your skin that looks like a bruise, but it is not painful.

I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.

I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now. Should I go ahead and take the baby aspirin now or wait? The Doctor says we can try again in October.

very low level hbvdna is also deteactable on those who clear hbv and have high hbsab, hbvdna is just a marker to monitor therapy by nucs or to have an idea of liver cancer risk or liver damage but in these 2 last parameters fibroscan is becoming more useful leaving hbvdna mainly nucs response monitoring

I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.

The last time I had Lovenox was one year ago and I was at 2.6 when I started the Lovenox. At that time I quit taking coumadin until after the procedure. The day after the procedure, I started up on coumadin and continued to taking the Lovenox until I was therapeutic again (between 2-3 INR). You stated that you were worried about the AFib. I assume you were referring to AFib while you are off coumadin and on Lovenox. I wouldn't worry about that.

Yes i am considered hight risk becuase of my blood clotting disorders i have to take lovenox everyday which is a blood thinning shot and see a hight risk doctor (perinitolgist) every two weeks good luck and i am praying for you xoxoxo gina

So I'm going on a daily dose of Lovenox, and I have to have hydroxyprogesterone weekly. I'm getting nervous not so much for me but my fiancé. He takes great care of me and idk if it's hormones but now with baby #2 being a girl it's a risk I may genetically passed or will pass my high blot clot risk to her. What if she has miscarriage problems or risks having going into labor early. I worry about my son too- I just found this information out today.

Hi girls. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Lovenox? My RE is putting me on it with this next positive pregnancy. We just ran another series of blood tests and one came back positive for blood clotting. He said this particular type of clot would is associated with second or third trimester losses, whereas all four of my mc have been around five weeks. But he said it is reason enough to do Lovenox. Has anybody used the blood thinner lovenox? My doctor put me on it for the whole pregnancy. I just forbid out I was carrying 4 days ago. I'm very nervous because I've had 3 miscarriages before this.
