Hi girls. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Lovenox? My RE is putting me on it with this next positive pregnancy. We just ran another series of blood tests and one came back positive for blood clotting. He said this particular type of clot would is associated with second or third trimester losses, whereas all four of my mc have been around five weeks. But he said it is reason enough to do Lovenox. I don't know how long I would have to take it.

He has been monitoring my cycle and has prescribed daily baby aspirin, daily progesterone supplements and daily fragmin injections at 2500 ml (blood thinning injections). (I believe fragmin is the same as heparin, so it sounds like you are on the same protocol). My RE prescribes the fragmin and progesterone as soon as I've ovulated. Is this what your Dr. has also done? I am currently pregnant and praying to see a heartbeat this Wednesday. Good luck.

hi- i just started lovenox injections on tuesday. my dr did the first one which he told me to do the inj down farther like right above your groin area..the one he did hurt but i have done it now twice and it really doesnt hurt, just burns for a few minutes, not bad at all. anything else let me know!

you will remain on fragmin till the day before c section then you will give birth shortly after when doctors give you all clear you will have another dose - If you are taking warfarin already swapping from warfarin to fragmin makes you feel a little yuck but I find that I feel better generally when taking fragmin rather than warfarin but FRAGMIN is not for long term use.

The reason for this is because i have a blood clotting disorder and it has caused a few dvt's in my past. However this was the first time i had taken fragmin, i usually use coumadin only. Hi there,last aug i was diagnosed with transverse sagittal thrombosis seen thru MRI/V but not seen thru CT Head. This was happen when i started using heparin(fragmin) for 1 week after i was diagnosed to have portal vein thrombosis. I got 2 clots on my body. I was hospitalized due to severe headache, nausea and vomiting and my hematologist told me it was HIT (heparin induced thrombocytopenia) but not convinced the clot from my head was from HIT bec MRI said it is chronic.

After three early m/c losses and a trip to the fertility clinic for some answers, my Dr. prescribed daily baby aspirin, fragmin injections and progesterone (for good luck). Apparently, I have some antibodies that may be causing the pregnancy losses, so the fragmin injections and baby aspirin are for blood thinning. I was TTCing this month and going to the clinic for cycle monitoring for natural, timed intercourse. Once I ovulated I would be prescribed the fragmin.

I am 40yrs old now and after a stillbirth at 35weeks last year I am petrified. Now I have been given Fragmin injections to give myself everyday and six weeks after birth. They hurt so bad!! I am diabetic but only have to inject insulin when pregnant. I can just about handle them 4 injections and 6 finger pricks a day but these needles are thicker and longer and sting for a long while afterwards. Anyone had to do these? Where dod you find it easier to inject? I am wanting to stop....

Hi i have to take fragmin injections which thins the blood to provent clots as am havin twins well since starting the fragmin i been bleeding on and off to the point i cnt go out with out any pads on incase i have a bleed i hate pads as they give my thrush i want to stop the injections as i never had them with any ov my other kids so dnt c y i have to have them now as they hurt and make my belly very sore my partner dnt understand how low and upset its making me he jus says stop complaining as

I also have the same issue. My IGM first came back borderline and then the 2nd 2 tests were just slightly positive. I don't have any history of miscarriages. I'm on 40mg Lovenox a day and have been spotting brown blood for past 2 weeks. I have heard Lovenox causes bleeding. I don't think I need to be on Lovenox. My Rhemetologist said some docs would think Lovenox is necessary while other docs would think I wouldn't need Lovenox.

Anyone taking Lovenox? Im 9 weeks and between the lovenox and the prenat vit I feel groggy all the time..just wondering if lovenox makes you feel bad..

I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now. Should I go ahead and take the baby aspirin now or wait? The Doctor says we can try again in October.

I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.

The last time I had Lovenox was one year ago and I was at 2.6 when I started the Lovenox. At that time I quit taking coumadin until after the procedure. The day after the procedure, I started up on coumadin and continued to taking the Lovenox until I was therapeutic again (between 2-3 INR). You stated that you were worried about the AFib. I assume you were referring to AFib while you are off coumadin and on Lovenox. I wouldn't worry about that.

1) Have you ever heard of lovenox injections to prevent further clots in stents and 2) what are the risks from lovenox to her relatively healthy kidneys (after 30+ yrs of diabetes)? Thank you for your good advice. You were the only Dr. who said E.R.

Anyone on Lovenox... Will the burning ever go away? Any advice of where to do the injections. My love handles are so soar and its only been a week.

So I'm going on a daily dose of Lovenox, and I have to have hydroxyprogesterone weekly. I'm getting nervous not so much for me but my fiancé. He takes great care of me and idk if it's hormones but now with baby #2 being a girl it's a risk I may genetically passed or will pass my high blot clot risk to her. What if she has miscarriage problems or risks having going into labor early. I worry about my son too- I just found this information out today.

I am 22 and I have had three miscarriages in the past year. I've never gotten past 6 weeks. My doctor did a batch of bloodwork on me, as well as shooting dye into my uterus and tubes. Everything in my blood work came back fine, except I have MTHFR, which is a blood clotting disorder. We finally feel ready to try again. My doctor gave me a prescription for Lovenox 40mgs once a day. Plus I'm on Folic Acid. Has anyone taken this and had a sucess story?

I really had to push very hard for the needle to go in then it stopped about a third of the way and I had to jam it in the rest of the way. does this sound right? I have plenty of fat so it's not as if I got held up on muscle or anything.

Has anybody used the blood thinner lovenox? My doctor put me on it for the whole pregnancy. I just forbid out I was carrying 4 days ago. I'm very nervous because I've had 3 miscarriages before this.

Any one out there feel differently? I am thinking of requesting Lovenox in addition to aspirin for next round. Any benefits or harm? How do you all feel? Thanks!

just out of curiosity.... anyone use Lovenox with their ivf/fet cycle? And if so, when did you start the injections? My ER wants me to start the injections around O date (we are doing FET cycle). My question is.... wouldn't it be better to start sooner??? Wouldn't blood clots have already formed in the uterine lining by then? Or does the lining start to grow around O date? (I know I know... you would think I would know that part being a 4th time IVF/FET patient...
